Saints Row 2 Multiplayer Co-op and Online

Saints Row 2 Online is supposedly working nowadays with mods.
Why is this so interesting? Well, the whole lobby can be made of chubby women and/or men!

Brief explanation for the multiplayer of this game:

Co-op - 2 Players only. You and your partner get to play through the main missions, sidequests and explore the open world together. You can customize cars, eat food (really, there’s drive-throughs and restaurants!), buy clothes, shoot gangs and explore the world.

Multiplayer - It seems that this one can be played up to 12 players depending on the mode chosen. It has deathmatch (Gangsta Brawl), team deathmatch (Team Gangsta Brawl) and the Strong Arm mode that teams must complete missions to get more money to win.

I’ve made a modpack to fix the game and to install it: open the game’s folder, drag the contents inside and overwrite (or make a backup if you want) everything:

The modpack contains:
Juiced Patch - Fixes performance, glitches and other things including the multiplayer mode which now uses OpenSpy.
DXVK - Increases performance. (If it doesn’t work, remove the d3d9.dll and d3d9.log from the game’s folder)
SuperUI - Improves the game interface.
High Quality Radio Mod - Fixes the radios being low quality :slightly_smiling_face: .
You might want to configure juiced.ini if you want to. I recommend going to the end of the document and setting “FreeMPClothing” to 1, if you more customization options right at the beginning for the multiplayer mode (co-op doesn’t need this).
Important: First execute the game through it’s executable on the folder “sr2_pc.exe”
If a CMD appears, then it is working.

That should be it! Now you can play the game (it plays fine in single player). Below are the instructions to play multiplayer:

  1. Either go to co-op or multiplayer.
  2. Go to “Online”.
  3. Go to create account and fill out the necessary fields and make sure the e-mail ends with @openspy.net; if it doesn’t accept your username for some reason, try another one until it works.
  4. Log in and now you can play the multiplayer. Though it shows the IP of the server.
  5. For co-op you can already open it from the main menu just go to the co-op and put it open to all. Or just load an existing save, pause the game and head to the co-op menu.

Some tips:
The main character is different from the multiplayer character, but you can import only the physical appearance of your main character to multiplayer. It doesn’t seem to be possible to import clothing, but I don’t know.
Play the tutorial up until you free Gat from the court, that should give you a basics on how the controllers for this game works and should be enough to play the multiplayer modes.

Nobody came to play…
I’ve reorganized the original post for it to be cleaner and keep the focus on installing the mods.
