Writing is very close to being finished and the Project has been renamed to Sinners XXXtra Large to suit the story of the game.
Will be releasing a playable version at some point tonight depending on how writing finishing touches go then over last 2 days I will be adding finishing touches to the artwork content of the game.
It will also be Download only due to the adult nature of the entry as well as muture themes meaning a browser version will never be available.
Feedback on the project is more than welcome and I might expand the project after Gain Jam depending on how feed back goes.
Just finished the game, and I thought it was great! I really liked the gloomy, grungy setting that the story took place in. I also really enjoyed your writing style too! It’s very melancholic. Aside from a few spelling mistakes here and there, this was a really nice read. Good submission!
I’ll admit your art style has turned me off of your previous submissions (I’ll cop to it probably being matter of a personal taste more than anything else.) but I found myself really enjoying this one. I don’t know if it’s the minimal color comic book style, or using furries instead of humans or just you improving as an artist, but I really like where you went with this one and look forward to seeing where this story goes if you chose to continue this project.
I’m really glad you enjoyed the game, I really wanted to test myself by trying out a different type of writing this year. I have recently been inspired by the 2000AD comic series Judge Dredd when it came to trying to come up with a world for Jack but I wanted to keep a more real worldly element to it hence I steer away from anything sci-fi within the writing. The setting is modelled a little off my hometown and the vibes you get from walking at night. Going for long walks can really help in the creative process and I’d heavily recommend it for getting the writing brain going

Recently I have been studying comic books and graphic novels for artwork inspiration and my regular works on Deviantart have undergone small but noticeable changes for the past year. My biggest influences have been Frank Miller (Sin City, 300, Batman: DKR) & Mike Mignola (Hellboy) and I’ve been trying to incorporate their use of shadows and lighting into my character work. This year I decided to go back to my roots and do a furry based world since it’s a lot more fun to write and really makes you think more about how characters are designed and dressed. Unfortunately this story is just a one off but I do intend continue making projects this way occasionally in the future.
I’m really happy folks are enjoying the VN game and I’ll be working on more in the future and getting other artists and writers involved in new works
Alan Moore (The Watchmen) gets a lot of his inspiration walking around his hometown of Northampton, so much so he wrote a Novel around his hometown called Jerusalem.
