I know this is a face sculpt thread, but I am really curious about how do you guys make fat layers in the torso part. The Tifa pic looks epic with those curves, I can’t really get bodyslide or racemenu to do much with the belly except making it bulge like pregnancy.
The body was a custom sculpt with normal map from a korean message board thing, the post was quite a long time ago so I just included it in the files.
What I did with that was use bodyslide and outfit studio in an obnoxiously complex way to conform every piece of the outfit. Also won’t get the best result without a matching normal map which is included in the korean reference.
If I remember the steps right: run bodyslide/outfit studio - conform the body you plan to use with this/your custom reference as a new slider with unique ID - conform wrists and ankles if you plan to use those - using the main body with new slider, conform every outfit piece you want in this custom shape as a new slider with same ID. The outfits usually don’t align at this point, ignore errors or use the sculpt tools or export into a preferred 3d software.
After that requires thorough understanding of outfit/batch building which will overwrite every outfit selected into your selected 0 and 1 shape. If you got skyrim looking the way you want, then I suggest backing up the data folder since modders often put mesh files all over the place. After backup build or batch build every outfit conformed, outfit studio work is saved separate from game files. The reason for backup is if you are reckless with batch building, you’ll overwrite the shape of every outfit. All outfits you intend to use will require work conforming the new slider.
Using custom script like winterweight requires adding your slider ID and range. Default skyrim weight just requires building the 1 shape with your goal shape.
Definitely more to do than these simplified steps, but explaining every detail would be a whole novel.
Hey guys, i’m back at trying to acheive this again.
I had been messing around with Virt-a-Mate lately and managed to get a good 3d model, so i decided to try and bring it to Skyrim.
Basically, I exported my character from VaM to an .obj file and imported it to blender along with HighPolyHead’s own file. I then used blender’s Shrinkwrap feature to morph the HPH model into the desired VaM shape, while keeping the original topology.
After that I imported that modified HPH model into OutfitStudio as slider data, and used the Undiff (eraser) tool to bring eyes, ear and mouth to their original spot, as an attempt to not fuckup animations.
ez pez
now i got to bring that into the game, if anyone knows how to mess around with facegen i will greatly appreciate the tips.
