Skyrim SE Weight Mods Help

Hi.
So I wanted to ask if anyone here could tell me what mods for weight gain are there.
And I know about WinterWeight and Devourment, but when I tried to install them (separately or together) they always break or just straight up don’t work.

I’ll be real, I’m a complete novice at Skyrim modding and when I tried to find out what’s the problem, I got bombarded with outdated dependecies, download loops and bodysliders in which I don’t understand a thing (even when I tried to look up a tutorial, the people had options that I just didn’t for some reason)

So I came here to ask if someone knows what should I install (or at least try to) to get what I want.
Namely: Male and Female weight gain (including male player), ability to look down to see my body, buff/debuffs from weight gain, player model change form weight gain, and maybe some other mods that you may think are also good to add.

I beg of you to tell me with this, because I think I’m gonna have a brain annurism from trying to install WinterWeight, SunHelm and Devourment for the 5th time.

If you have problems with either Winterweight or Devourment, you should ask on their discord as both mods were made by the same person.

First thing first, what version of Skyrim you have? SE and AE ain’t technically the same and most mods and dependencies differ from version to version and WW and Devourment are for AE, not SE. Second, If you have Vortex as your mod manager, there is this function called “collections” that allows to download a bunch of mods and there is this collection made by the dev of those mods with all of the dependencies needed to make both mods work. Third, read carefully about what you install, because not all mods are either compatible with each other or downright don’t work.

Winterweight allows for male and female weight gain, but doesn’t add buffs. If you want that, there is the adiposian race I guess, but I don’t know if it currently works and is somewhat limited (female characters only and not compatible with other costume mods). For looking at your body, I know there are some mods that add that kind of stuff in 1st person, but I don’t know neither remember.

So the version I use is 1.6.1170.0 (at least that’s what the exe file tells me).

I’ve tried to install just the Devourment collection through the Vortex to see if it would work, and it did but the player model didn’t change even if I forcefully changed the values in MCM Menu. Not to mention some of the mods in that collection were outdated or stuck in the endless dowload loop. Though I did install it on already made save, so maybe that was it idk.

And now just a moment ago I tried to see if I could get just the WinterWeight to work by itself, along side better first view and alt start mods for better testing. No matter what I did - nothing was changing in the model. I then even installed CBBE to see if that was the problem, but still nothing was happening.

Do I have to mess in the BodySlider myself for it work or something? Cuz I have a distinct feeling that I have to.

You have AE version of Skyrim.

You need all the required mods to work, and you also need to build the bodies on bodyslide. If you have problems with using the collection, then download the mods that appear on the collection, one by one and make sure they are installed properly. I seriously recommend that you ask on the Discord of Devourment for any kind of troubleshooting (just be polite).

Also, some of the instructions on that appear on the pages.

I see, maybe the version was the problem. Although I know I didn’t buy the AE but SE. I still have AE as available purchase in Steam, weird. Guess I’ll be better off asking the details in the relative Discord.

Anyway, thanks for sticking with me, I appreciate the assistance.

Ok, the problem is, that Skyrim keeps getting these vapid, senseless updates that break mods and some of the weightgain mods or fat body mods are no longer being worked on.
You might find a guide that worked at the time but doesn’t work now.

not saying it is hopeless, just that it can be complicated, and very very annoying.
