So, ... I underestimated the work I need to put into my game

Any Advice, I tried a lot of styles, did a lot of pixel art. The Problem I face is the animation.
You can look up, my previous posts, different styles of pixel art. Any Ideas, I tried AI-Art, but well …

There’s no shame in using every tool disposable for a creator. I recommend trying to release a few short/tiny games to see if you like the direction they go in and to find ‘your style’.

If animation if your current wall, try to make games that don’t require too many of them. I know a lot of creators are perfectionists, (and there is nothing wrong with that!) but don’t let it hold you back

nothing wrong in knowingly releasing something that is not ‘your best’, experience gained is always worth it!

Considered trying to make a gamebook, a visual novel or like me: a text adventure? Useful for testing out ideas, and doesn’t need a lot of art to be a good time

I think it will just take time and practice.

One of the best ways to learn something new is by copying someone else. There are tons of creators online that do pixel art; Don’t be afraid to copy them as learning experience.

Each style and type you learn will be a tool in your belt, and from there you can make your own!

And if you’re working on making a game right now, try focusing more on the gameplay & mechanics first. Sprites can come after once you have a functioning system.

^ This is what I’m trying to do right now. I’m making a game but have zero experience with sprites. Once the game is 80% there, I’ll probably end up commissioning someone to do it for me lmao.
