It’s time to go outside. The grass awaits you.
hey its me Clinko. the guy that really likes Emmie as a character and as a food gremlin.
i filled out your Emmie questionnaire and stuff.
What is Emmie’s identity (the answer can’t be eating)? Sweet, ditzy girl who is brought down by her gluttonous nature.
What is Emmie good at (the answer can’t be eating, or taking credit for things the Voice does)? Spellcasting, Math, making friends.
What does Emmie believe in (the answer can’t be eating)? Her friends and her family.
What are Emmie’s ideals (the answer can’t be eating)? Fairness to everyone.
What are Emmie’s strengths (the answer can’t be eating, or taking credit for anything the Voice does)? Loyal to a fault, always stands up for her friends. Loves her sister and family.
What would Emmie fight for (the answer can’t be eating)? Her friends and family. Again.
What would Emmie die for (the answer can’t be eating)? She quite literally died for ETV at the end of the story. So yeah, her friends.
What are Emmie’s personal goals (the answer can’t be eating)? To be as strong and self-assured as Pro. To be as confident and decisive as ETV.
What does Emmie consider to be her personal burden or duty in life (the answer can’t be eating)? She sees herself as responsible for Lantrum and her friends. She wants to keep them safe and happy above all else. Another personal burden is her appetite, but I can’t use that for my fetish OC apparently.
What does Emmie want for her future (the answer can’t be eating)? A safe home for herself and her friends.
What are Emmie’s dreams (the answer can’t be eating)? This sounds a lot like a repeat of the personal goals question so see that.
If Emmie was left alone, what would she do with herself (the answer can’t be eating)? Practice spellwork on her own, read her adventure novels, try to sneak out of the manor to explore the town and talk to the people, all while snacking because she likes to snack.
How does Emmie define right and wrong (the answer can’t be eating)? She’s very empathetic so if someone else gets hurt who doesn’t deserve it she sees that as wrong.
What does Emmie love the most in this world (the answer can’t be eating)? Her friends and family this is kinda obvious.
What does Emmie hate? What does she fear? What would she run away from, or try to avoid at all costs (the answer can’t be “not eating”)? Emmie hates it when her friends are hurt. She thinks skeletons are scary because I think its funny. She fears losing her friends and not doing enough to help her friends.
Can Emmie be a real person now? I really like Emmie.
Since I filled out the whole questionnaire I guess Emmie is a bit more Well Rounded than one would think
At first I thought the line about a “teaching moment” was sort of unnecessarily patronizing, but nevermind that. This is a really indepth analysis of the game’s main cast and I liked it.
As far as interpreting characters goes, I agreed with a lot of your opinions on that, so here’s something I didn’t on:
How is [Emmie] going on more and more adventures, but somehow becoming less competent and aware of danger?
It’s because she keeps winning. No matter how bad or desperate things get, any number of Emmie’s three powerhouse minders step in for the rescue. When they fall short, something or someone else does. I’m pretty sure she’s also literally unattackable in fights, but it’s been a while since I played. To me it’s kind of clear when she talks to Ellie that this has given her something of a warped view on how dangerous and life threatening adventures could be.
If she did become a pet like you said, it would be because she noticed that she gets to be one. I do think you’re on to something that Emmie has negative character development for most of the story, but I don’t think that really hurt the story. She is, after all, possessed by a power-hungry demon who clearly still hungers for mental corruption of all mortals even if she does turn out to be surprisingly sentimental. It’s kind of important to Essie’s deal that she’s a bad influence a lot of the time (though clearly not all the time).
i have tried to make Clara in Baldur´s gate 3 by using some mods, i hope you enjoy it.
If you want to see i trying to make Emmie too, please ask me.
Now I realize you could make whole party in Skyrim. There is already vore mod if someone would like to eat enemies as Esse/Emmie, weightgain mod that can affect max mana etc. Plus ofc shitload of customization mod.
i intend to make Clara again in Skyrim, but on the Nolvus Ascension modpack, the problem is that my pc maybe does not tank the size of the mods because of my gpu.
She looks great! Are you just making character models or do you have an idea of builds too?
if i were going to play the game until the end again, i would make her a rogue because they use a crossbow like Clara, altough since she is a inquisitor she could be a paladin too in my opinion.
But if my pc handle skyrim Nolvus Ascension, i intend to play clear skyrim playing with Clara Van Damm, but the build i will choose the one that i like the most.
does anyone have a save from just after completing nordhaven? I got a freeze and lost a ton of progress
Don’t know when this happened, but congratulations Nerds, your game has a category on a fanfiction website!

Contrary to what most creative writing classes or teachers will tell you, there is no particularly consistent formula or checklist for writing a great story or making good characters. They will insist that everyone needs character development, and that the writer should try and make every character sympathetic to the audience. Neither of these things are actually true.
I’m not here to actually enter into this debate, but this particular line twigged my ADHD and I was compelled to point out that either this is completely taken out of your ass, or you’ve had some -exceptionally- bad creative writing teachers in your life. Most will tell you outright that there is no one formula to storytelling, but will outline some of the most common and successful character archetypes, story frameworks, and narrative techniques. The entire point of storytelling as a modern art form is that it’s about what effectively communicates your story to your audience, and that’s not a solved equation that has a single answer, and trying to spend an equal amount of time developing every character is a fast track to madness.
I’ve been very interested in the debate as a whole, but that one wormed into my brain and wouldn’t be let go; creative writing as a taught technique should not be disrespected like that, especially because some people need it and some don’t, so those who teach it have to be ready for everything.
I just want to second this. Definitely came for the fetish content, stayed because of how good the story and character writing is.
…And I guess the fetish content makes the game go from a 9 to a 10 haha.
Likewise. I came for the fetish content for shits and gigles (I like belly expansion. Not so much feeding and stuffing). Stayed for the story, and now that the all quests are done and all that’s left is fetish content, I’m not really interested in going back to face the boss.
imho, a post game would be nice. But not a requirement. The game is pretty good as is.
Also, imho again, I realize it would be an ungodly amount of work, but plenty could be done with this setting, such as exploring other demons, the world with Esse’s presence and the results of her influence (hopefully better this time around, as an advisor and responsible of farming as she suggested), the Emmie’s growth (she is still really young. Is she really jsut gonna go back to being a sheltered girl this time around with a huge apetite and magic powers?), so on.
Would be neat to see more. But once again, not a requirement. And the story isn’t that bad. Yeah, there are personal preferencs, but it is literally the reason I put 100+ hours in the game.
I haven’t had a chance to play in a while, but yeah, I consider the story pretty captivating!
Great! I could post a novelization or something here.
Honestly I do need to remember because the story, while not perfect, was still pretty enjoyable.
Oh! That happened when I posted a fanfiction like a month or two ago lmao (it’s in a private collection hence why it says 0 works)
Oh! So that was you! I’m honored to have caught your attention!
Do you mind if I ask why you hid it? I am somewhat confused why authors choose to do so, as it seems quite common on there.
Embarrassment mostly lol it was very self-indulgent, but I might end up making it public again and/or publishing other stuff. I’ve been working on a few different oneshot stories recently so I might put those up, especially if it encourages other fans to publish their own works!
