Yeah. Current plans are to include support for every female NPC (minus the Princess, obviously) and a couple male NPCs. After I get that out of the way, if I still feel like doing more things I’ll branch out into other things. At the moment I’m taking a bit of a break but I’ll come back to this eventually.
Man, this pack is great, cant wait to see what else you manage to make for it!
What does monumental do exactly? I tried putting it in the townnpcs folder and it changed the nurse back to normal.
Monumental isn’t quite ready yet, but when I get around to it it’s gonna be an extra weight level above massive. Would seem as if I wasn’t quite thorough with cleaning up the pack of WIPs and for that I apologize.
No need to apologize. I’d also have to wonder, would monumental work? With the spritesheet limitations in place, I don’t see how they could get much bigger.
That’s a valid concern I had at the time, but I decided to give it a try anyway and the sheets ended up being a little more spacious than I remembered. With the base sprites I have there’s only about 1-3 pixels of working room so that’s gonna be as big as it gets, but between this and massive there will be a pretty noticieable difference.
If you do a size above monumental, would you try naming he next ambitious size colossal?
with tmodloader you can simply increase the sheet width so i suppose there really isn’t a limit! unless you don’t wanna use tmodloader incase you want to play on like, a vanilla server with friends or something
This was actually one of my ideas for monumental. The reason I settled on the current name is so it shows after “massive” on the file explorer if it’s set to follow an alphabetical order (which I assume is the case for 99% of people here), and while that means I have to come up with increasingly esoteric names for an arbitrary number of future weights I think the convenience of having everything in a neat ascending order of weight is worth using any weird terms down the line, and for that reason I probably won’t use “colossal” but any suggestions that fit the current order (or perhaps a completely new naming scheme so there’s more working room for newer weights) I’m willing to consider.
That’s something I could consider in the future, I suppose. That said, using tmodloader solely for the sake of getting bigger sheets seems like a bit of a waste to me, for now I think keeping it to a plain vanilla resource pack format is enough.
