Just popping back in real quick to let everyone know that all the support on Patreon is incredibly appreciated, and frankly way more than I ever expected in the span of a day! Seeing people excited for the comeback has made my week, seriously. You guys are awesome.
So, in addition to removing some of the bad endings, Iām also going to be removing some of the player choices from chapter 2. Iām not currently sure if that final decision in chapter two is gonna make it out unscathed or not during the re-writing process, but if I have choices in the game going forward, I want them to really matter and have obvious consequences in both the short term and long term.
For an example: Having an option to lie to Kimmy about seeing the monster seemed like a good idea at the time, but itās kinda just having a choice for the sake of having a choice. Originally I was gonna do a whole approval system where certain characters trust you more depending on what you say to them, but thatās a little too complicated and outside the scope of this game I think.
All of that is to say, weāll see!

this is the announcement of a lifetime.
i was so bummed that the game was originally cancelled, its one of, if not the best rpgmaker game on here and really changed my view on those games as a whole.
iām pleasently and absolutely gobsmacked to hear were gonna get more chapters, i really hope things go swimmingly this time!

Not on a conceptual level, mind you. I just wasnāt happy with the writing/build-up surrounding it. I might do a similar bad ending in the future, but if itās male stuff that youāre clamoring for, donāt worry, chapter three has got you covered in spades

great to see you have returned hog hill is a game of great potential that i really enjoyed when it was recommended to me
when you say you are removing some bad ends does that mean they will be removed completly, touched up and changed, or replaced with something else
and outside of playing the older versions are you planning to preserve the old bad ends in any way?
whatever the case its great news to see you return and the continuation of your project.

Two of the bad endings are basically being axed, but Iād say thereās an equal amount of new content being added to chapter two to make up for it. (Not necessarily bad endings, mind you, but I think you guys will appreciate why when you play the updated version. No spoilers, my lips are sealed, etc.)
One thing Iāll say, is that from the moment Frankie falls asleep after meeting Charlie, chapter two will be entirely new content.

Also, wanted to add something of a little PSA here, just in case: When I made that post right before I went on hiatus, I mentioned that all the game assets available in the original download were free to use for whatever purposes you guys wanted.
I just wanted to assure anyone whoās started some kind of project and borrowed any assets from the first two chapters that youāre free to keep using them, and please donāt stop making whatever it is you were making before this project came back from the dead. The House on Hog Hill is a game built primarily on the hard work of a lot of other very generous artists before me, and Iād be delighted to see another game using anything Iāve created in that grand tradition, the only thing I ask is that you shoot me a link if you end up releasing it : )

heyo, havenāt been following this but iām glad to see more works in this community ā and now that youāve mentioned more male content iām kinda interested lol. at the risk of being presumptuous, would you ever consider making a separate āmodeā where the main character is male with mild sprite changes to match? obviously only after the game is mostly finished, since this is truly very low priority.
no pressure, obviously, but iām a gay guy and i wanna see what all the hubbub with this particular project is, but, yāknow, kind of difficult to judge an erotic project when the main course isnāt of a gender youāre attracted to. itās perfectly fine if this project isnāt meant for that, though.
(sorry if this is annoying and/or entitled, but, yknow, figured it was worth asking. wishing you the best no matter what your response is and thank you in advance)

Probably not, unfortunately! Itās just logistically a bit too much to consider this far into development, and would require so much new sprite work and dialogue-tweaking, as well as just kind of fundamentally change some aspects of the story. The people-pleaser in me would love to implement something like this, but I just donāt think itād be a good fit for this project in particular.
Totally get it, and being 100% honest with you- This project absolutely skews more towards female weight gain than it does male. BUT!! There are gonna be entire sequences that are male-centric, and plenty of fat guys waddling around Hog Hill, as well as some male TF/TG stuff if thatās of any interest!

tragic but understandable. iāll probably check out the next release and see if any of the male stuff is up my alley, though i doubt im going to be looking for bad ends, since, yknow, Girl lol

Considering the male stuff is intertwined with the female stuff pretty closely, and also plot/character important, probably not! Again, itās the same issue as giving the player the option of changing Frankieās gender, except itād probably end up being even more work lol
Sorry if this is disappointing, but Iāve always been open about the fact that this game includes both men and women getting fat as fuck, and itās gonna stay true to that artistic vision for the foreseeable future
