Oh hey there.
I finally did it. It only took me 2 years but I actually motivated myself to not disappear this time.
I present to you:
The Neon City.
The Neon City is a 3D weight gain life sim with visual novel elements, all done in Unreal 4. At the moment, it’s super early on in development, but I’ve managed to get more than 2 lines of code written so I’m already winning in my books.
I plan on fleshing out more information as time goes on, but I’ll leave a planned feature list below, as well as the demo of what I have so far.
Planned Features
-Fleshed out weight gain system.
-Inflation system
-Combat system that involves using your weight to your advantage.
-Romanceable characters that can have their weight change throughout their story.
-Life simulator aspect (jobs, player home, etc.)
-Basic needs
-Transformations (horns, tails, cat ears etc.)
-Diverse customization.
-probably like 30 other things I’m forgetting lmao

Additions
-added newly purchased assets to make city look more like a city
-added sculpted landscape
-added super fake water that does not work at all
-added a teleport system to utilise new buildings properly
-added baseline for new interaction system
-added player apartment to eventually make use of new interaction system
-added system for item icons
-added new shop window system that will help me update the inventory system
Changes
-messed with lighting settings to fit the style better
-optimized performance
Basic Controls
-Left click on characters when close enough to interact with them (only interact works and only steve has dialogue at the moment).
-Space bar advances dialogue.
-Hold right click to move camera
At the moment, a lot of assets are placeholder and are subject to change. I’m going to start working on animations soon, then probably start working more on the conversation system.
