I don’t know if I’ve been lucky or inattentive but so far I hadn’t found any bugs
I’m impressed with how you pretty much “enhanced” every existing scene as well as adding more. It’s clear this was a huge undertaking (and that’s not just from Alice!) so major kudos to you for pulling it off, tigg!
Hey Tigger, I’m sure you’re already aware of this, but just wanted to say that the download link says it has been viewed/ downloaded too much. Any chance for an uplaod to another download link on the patreon? So excited to try out the new update!
Edit: ignore me Tigger! Anyone having this issue, logging into a Google account and then downloading fixes the issue
There are a few bugs (more than the previous version I’d say), but even bigger ones that mess with the run (in a way savescumming cannot fix) are literally only minor typos in the code. Either one letter wrong, or a copy/paste missing one line, or being copy/pasted twice or some such (I taught myself to code this weekend so I could fix the bugs in my own playthrough).
So while there are a couple quite nasty bugs, they should actually be quite easy to fix.
The only real problem is that tiggertoo’s getting dozens or even hundreds of messages about each bug. The people writing these messages don’t know exactly how to properly describe the bug. So it’s a bit of a nightmare. Patreon doesn’t allow users to post screenshots or savefiles… so… yeah. Reading the bug reports will probably take ten times as long as solving the bugs.
I really wish patreon would upgrade their webcode. On a site like say github (or to be frank even a forum like weightgaming.com), tracking bugs is so much easier, the players can post save files and screenshots easily, and the administrator’s can merge a dozen complaints by different players into a single post thread. Or whatnot. If tiggertoo could actually see the bugs occuring I have no doubt he could easily fix them (like if the players were able to post their savefiles or even screenshots to patreon).
As a side note for anyone wondering why I had a different experience than alexkay, the biggest bug I found involves spurning becca. So, if you are madly in love with becca, things work better. Weirdly I’m a fairly big becca supporter (but that’s why I wanted to leave my support of her for my 2nd run).
edit:
Not trying to be negative here, this update is fabulous, the new scenes are wonderful, all the new model versions are wonderful, and just about everyone has something to look forward to in this version regardless of which obscure character you stan.
Playing the latest version, Alice hasn’t been there for about 3 weeks now. I can see her during random events like the bar, gym, etc… but cant call her or anything. This takes place before her sister comes to town. Anyone have any ideas?
Did you do as I said I did? And spurn becca? I mentioned there was a serious flaw in the test build, it is a typo that is very minor but prevents those who spurn becca from ever reaching alice size 6, let alone 7.
It’s literally one line, that isn’t even missing, but just copy/pasted slightly wrong.
But like I said with 100s of confusing messages to read, it will take time for tiggertoo to sort through these things, and I wouldn’t wish to disclose anything about his code, if I were to release a fix it would be very rude. Besides, my one fix won’t fix the dozen other even more minor typos he might already be aware of. If you are plagued by these bugs, I would recommend not thinking that the test build is the real release. Which I assume will follow shortly, as has always been the case before.
edit: As a sidenote, in release v0.6 I did extensive testing on weight loss for alice, and found a very obscure bug that would ruin the game of anyone who forced alice to lose too much weight after she reached a very heavy weight (something no sane fan had previously bothered to test). Tiggertoo totally removed any such possibility from occurring ever again. His solution cuts to the core of that old obscure flaw. Whereas I mostly just saved my personal save game by cheating my way around the typo in test build for v0.7. Which is a brutish and inelegant solution to his. I’m sorry if anything I’ve said steps on his toes. I just really wanted to stress how trivial most of the typos are, even if the bugs seem “unstoppable”. really wanted to stress how trivial most of the typos are, even if the bugs seem “unstoppable”.
The above paragraphs ends in in the exact manner in which I believe your own game is currently broken
@namad I don’t mind at all. If I don’t know about a bug then I can’t fix it And the more people do stuff that I didn’t expect/anticipate, the more likely they are to uncover potentially game breaking glitches.
There are always a few bugs when I release a new version. With the size of the game and the different ways people play, it’s inevitable that I won’t catch everything before I release the game. Bug fixing is always a nightmare, especially as a lot of people playing the game don’t have English as their first language so can’t always explain the bug too well.
And yeah… Patreon is a nightmare for two-way communication. It’s nigh on impossible to find stuff that people have posted unless I know where it is. I still have a load of messages from the weekend to work through…
@Noodle_Fish that’s one of the reported bugs and I have now fixed it. There are still a number of other bugs in the game that I haven’t got round to yet, but not being able to call Alice seems by far the most common one, so I’ll be uploading a new test version this evening (UK time) which will (hopefully!) at least let you call Alice.
@Hixkeks You should have had the ‘to be continued’ screen before 400 pounds. Sounds like you’ve hit a bug. As @namad says, probably related to the Becca issue which I’'ll be looking into in the next couple of days or so.
I’d love to put out a Mac test version, but I don’t own a Mac which means that I can’t support it. For that reason, it’s best to get everything as bug free as possible before putting out a Mac version.
Oh absolutely no complaints here. I’m probably going to get a PC once my Mac finally hits the dust because PCs are better for computer games. I know what I signed up for by having one, and I’m definitely appreciative of the fact you put out a Mac version at all.
Hey just wondering how do I make Becca gain weight? She isn’t moving past the first stage where she has the stockings and idk if I’ve run into a bug or not. She’s stopped asking me to do extra work
I just recently came across this game and really enjoyed it. I can’t wait to see future developments.
Based on the ending (putting the rest of my post in a spoiler box for anyone that hasn’t finished it yet),
I figure you are going one of 3 ways; the player gets to pick one side character to fatten, you’re picking the one character to fatten, or you get to fatten all 3 side characters so no one gets left out of the fun.
While the first option would add replayability, I would imagine having to keep track of three divulging story-lines would make things harder for you to make the game.
If you are going with the second option, Lacy would make the most sense since she’s likes being a feedee, lives with Alice, and just needs a feeder. Becca would be the second choice since she’s getting into it but not quite there yet. Hannah (my personal favorite side character) makes the least sense since she doesn’t really like it but I could see her getting into it if it means she gets to be with the player.
Personally, I’m hoping for the third option since I would like to see all of them get fat together. You can space things out by having each person get a different day. You spend every single day with Alice (Sunday she gets to be with you alone) since she’s the main love interest, while the rest of the week would look something like Monday and Friday (Alice/Lacy), Tuesday and Thursday (Alice/Becca) and Wednesday and Saturday (Alice/Hannah).
Additionally, with regards to the side characters, so far since they haven’t gained a lot, you’ve been mainly focusing on their belly’s and to a lesser extent their butts. Just a suggestion to differentiate them from each other so they don’t all end up looking the same if/when they get as big as Alice.
Lacy – Make her bottom heavy but to differentiate her from Sarah, maybe make her breast as big as or close to the size of Alice.
Hannah – Since she starts off being the biggest chested character, make her top heavy so she remains the largest chested character (she’ll be mostly belly and breast).
Becca – Give her a figure similar to Alice but with smaller breast and ass. Compensate for the smaller breast and ass by making her arms/legs thicker and her face rounder than Alice.
IMO branching choices don’t really make things that much harder, and I think it would allow the writing for each storyline to be more well done. Forcing everyone together is going to I believe make a lot less sense.
It’s also not really that hard for the player to just make a save game that ends before the decision and then play out all available options.
@tiggertoo Amazing job as always just finished playing the latest update. I appreciate how much hard work goes into each update, and I have to say I’m always surprised how much I enjoy each “inconvenient ending”. I oddly look forward to them , it was a great update thank you.
