You could always do a pool scene with implied water and implied swimming. Like you have the gym showers and beach scene without a drop of water.
As a background detail imperfect water isn’t as much of a deal breaker as it would be if it were the focal point of a shot. Although the test render water looks pretty much fine to me, I guess it doesn’t actually look much like water, so much as video game water, but well, this is a video game.

But I’m generally pretty happy with how this looks. It was more to see how good the character would look ‘in’ the water than to see how good the water itself looked.
If you’re looking for a way to include more explicit information about how Alice is feeling or what she’s thinking, without having to do a bunch of new scenes/renders or add it as immersion breaking UI element, then I’ve always thought that more could be done with the “Talk About Stuff” option in the phone menu.
And someone a ways up the thread asked about the possibility of dream sequences. I’m a bit skeptical as everything else in the game is from the MC’s pov, not Alice’s. But if anything like that did make it’s way into the game, then those dreams could also be a way to more explicitly show Alice’s mood, how romantic she’s feeling, how she views her gain, or her feelings on some topic or another.
There won’t be any dream sequences unless I hit on something that actually adds to the game rather than just plonking random dream sequences in for the sake of it.
I did say a few days back that I’d probably add something such as ‘How are we doing’ to the phone menu. That or a dialogue option at the MC’s house (and probably Alices house as well) to ask the same thing.
You did speculate earlier that a lot people who are having trouble judging how the game scores the player don’t speak english as their native language. If that’s the case, more subtle hints in a new location might not matter, if they’re just skipping all the text anyways?
I’m still partial to my solution of just showing some more numbers, BUT only if an option to do so is turned on (And the default is for them to stay off.)
That said I don’t have any trouble following alice’s mood myself, yet I’d still love if you added a feature where you get to talk with her more about your relationship, just because I love all your little random snippets of writing.
TL;DR I am not sure that will solve the issue at all, but I still think it’s a good idea 
Yeah, it won’t help those who either aren’t very good at reading English, or are good at it but simply skipread the text, but it would be a useful tool for those who want more of an indication of how Alice feels.

Dont know if someone has asked this before so if so then sorry ,but is it a glitch when alice’s icon on the right hand side disappears from the screen?
So this is a bug if you’re playing the version linked at the top of this thread waiting about a week in game fixes this. If you’re playing a version from somewhere else this was a bug that was supposed to be fixed, however there has been only one confirmed instance of it happening with the correct newest version. I’m sure @tiggertoo would be interested to know if this is still an issue in the most recent version.

This was probably the most common bug in the test version of the game. I thought it was fixed, but with all that happened I hadn’t finished testing when I put the game on general release.
This does confirm that it still crops up in very rare cases. @xprime28, I don’t suppose you can remember roughly where it occured? And if @Krodmandoon’s suggestion of waiting a few days solved it?
If anyone else has had this happen, please let me know. If it’s only happening in such a tiny minority of games, it’s going to be a nightmare to troubleshoot without more info.

i think that happened to me when i started playing the game suddenly game crashed no progress was saved
@xprime28 Well, at least I know the error is definitely there. Hopefully if it happens to anyone else they’ll be able to give more details and I’ll be able to work out where it’s happening.
@Pro_Master3601 It’s an extremely rare error. The game’s been downloaded almost 8,000 times just on this site and only a couple of people have reported it happening that I know of. I’ll look out for it of course when I start bug testing again, but without more info, it’s going to be seriously difficult to trace.
A hard crash is very very rare with Ren’py. I’ve played through the game probably a hundred times in the time I’ve been working on it and never had Ren’py crash on me. The incident you had is almost certainly a one-off.
There’s a point in the game when you meet the girlfriends sister, but I save during a critical part and now almost a MONTH worth of effort just went down the drain! 
Does anyone have a save copy I could use to get past that point? {or at least have enough points to pass it?}
Not that it helps in this instance, but Ren’py allows unlimited save slots, so you never need to overwrite a previous save.
I had this happen recently, I found it had something to do with Alice passing the next weight notice threshold, but taking an action that skipped the day without a home option. I didn’t investigate it beyond that since I assumed I was on an older version of the game and it had been fixed. I’ll keep an eye out if I play again, but maybe knowing that the size flag is related could help narrow down the issue.
Is that the first weight threshold? That was the most common place for it to occur before I thought I’d fixed it.
Can you double check which version you have, please? On the start screen, if it says ‘test’ after the version number, you have an old version.
