The Weighting Game - WIP

If you got the break up but it wasn’t a proper game over, just keep playing for a little while and you’ll see a new event pop up at the bar (if I recall)

To further what @TheSleepyBoi said, it’s about a week of in game time just work go to the gym and go to sleep early when your out of energy. Do this each day( just to build up some funds and fitness cause why not, but not needed to make the event happen). I think you need to go into work to get the scene to start playing (Chris takes you to the bar from work). The game will progress as normal afterwards.

EDIT: The only time the game is over is with the actual game over screen from the feeder question. The break up event is intended.

Thanks you guys for your quick and helpful answers.

Thanks for answering that, @TheSleepyBoi and @Krodmandoon

@Adam what they say is quite correct. Keep playing a little while and things will start moving again.

Do I like putting Alice in tiny bikinis? Yes I do.

Does Alice like wearing tiny bikinis? Yes she does.

Am I going to tell you what scene she’ll be wearing this in? No, because I’m evil :japanese_ogre:

If it’s not the beach scene it would certainly be a surprise

Looks like it’s going to be a surprise then.

Not that I’d tell you even if you were right, of course…

Well I think the best way to handle the game over is the most obvious one, which I bet you already considerd, having Alice react more upset after all the teasing, making it much more obvious that you aren’t doing it right. Having her mood sad, and making more remarks about the MC’s negative behavior and that its making her feel horrible!

And as I’ve said before I really like that you go back and add stuff earlier in the game and streamline stuff. I may have pointed it out already but I think the bowling alley scene needed some new dialogue for Alice, because even very late in the game, when she’s snacking she will keep saying things like “I don’t want to get any chunkier” which you could read as playfull teasing at that point but it doesn’t seem to fit with where you are in the story!

I’d just like to add for no reason, hope there will be more Becca scene’s! I just really like her character alot!

But Y U NO Becca or Hannah beach encounter?

Will money be used on anything else other than the dates and rent or will it be strictly kept to just those two things?

@JustChris I’m still thinking about the best way of implementing the possible game over (if I EVER finish restructuring what’s already in the game so far).

And inbetween restructuring, I’m working on new bits for some of the existing scenes. Which will include (possibly) some of Becca’s scenes.

@ThisAnon No chance of a Hannah/Becca beach encounter in the game up till now as that would mean rewriting some of the existing story.

@TheSleepyBoi Those of you with long memories will remember that very early versions of the game had a store that you could visit. The initial plan was that you could buy things there - extra food, alcohol etc. However, I soon shelved this idea as it would be annoying to constantly have to check your inventory for the requisite items before starting a scene where you could, say, feed her chocolate, and even more annoying if you forgot to check, started playing through a scene and only then finding out you didn’t have what was necessary in your inventory. And, let’s face it, food shopping is boring!

I think the gradually increasing rent to cover Alice’s growing appetite is a better way to do things. So… no plans at the moment for money to go on anything other than dates and rent.

This latest batch of renders is going to take a while.

Just under 48 hours so far…

The fatties are too strong, gotta dedicate the whole computer to show it off

Haha my computer is very dedicated. I barely touch it while it’s rendering…

Forgot to mention earlier that for anyone subscribed to my Ko-fi page, all the images on there should now be (let me know if not!) viewable/downloadable at the original resolution rather than in a compressed format

I don’t know much about rendering 3D images, but what determines how long it’ll render for? is it the amount of images being rendered at once or is this based on the machine used to render it?

I’ve been curious about it every time you post a render time

This should be marked NSFW for those of us with render kinks…

There are loads of factors that determine render time. The biggest one I’ve found is whether the render is done on the GPU (fast) or drops to the CPU (slooooow) due to there not being enough GPU Memory available. Daz studio isn’t great at memory management. I have 8GB on my graphics card (RTX 2080 Super) and I’d guess around 75% of my scenes drop to the CPU.

You can optimise scenes, hide or delete items out of shot (Daz renders everything in the scene, whether visible or not), etc. but as I constantly move camera positions for a lot of my scenes, this is more trouble than it’s worth.

Then you have what’s actually in the scene. The more complex it is (number of characters, background detail, light sources etc.), the longer it takes to render. And the more likely it is to drop to the CPU due to lack of memory.

Finally, Daz has various completion settings - Max/minimum amount of samples per image, maximum amount of time it can take to render an image, render quality. The defaults tend to work reasonably well, but as I’ve got a little more experienced with Daz, I’ve found that a fair bit of image noise can be avoided by whacking up the render quality settings a bit.

An image for my game can take anything from around 20 minutes (meeting Alice when she’s running/walking in the park - only one figure, one lightsource, no reflections to speak of and a low polygon backdrop) to around seven hours (ice cream parlour - three figures, lots of light and reflections and a high poly backdrop).

Holy cow! Does that mean we are on a finishing line? Can’t wait to play it!

The next version of the game won’t be publicly available. It’s also no where near done by any means. Tiggertoo had stated at the very earliest they might have it done by April(I really wouldn’t count on this as any means of actual timeline since tiggertoo is working on it at their own pace and there are lots of variables that dictate how long an update takes), but a finished version of the game will be the only thing released to the public.

The finished game easily won’t be this year it might not even be finished next year. Since tiggertoo is writing the story as they develop the game, the size of it or how long the game will be is in flux. The original project was supposed to be much smaller and was thought to only take six months to develop. More than two years later here we are . The game has obviously increased in size and complexity since it’s original design.
