Yeah, structure was a bit poo, it was clearly designed with a shorter story and smaller project in mind.
Got somewhat tough to hunt down bugs, but part of that is that I was using the copy of notepad that shipped with windows. Now that I know how to use something like Atom I’m fixing bugs in all the games I play rapidly
Good news though is that if you successfully complete a restructuring, you’ll be able to make a longer game in the long run, which fans will love (no quitting due to a brick wall of getting lost in your own code.)
@gamerca that’s why I’m doing it this way. Much easier to debug a smaller version than a huge one!
@namad a bit poo? Try utter shit. It’s a mess. Although to be fair, the game is way WAY bigger than I ever thought it would and a lot of the coding, especially the early stuff when I was just starting out with Renp’y isn’t great to say the least.
ignore the muppet Tiger. You’ve produced a great game so far you don’t have to justify anything to a simp who can’t exercise a bit of patience. You’ll have my support when the game finally releases and if it never does the game is already great.
The only way to beat the troll is to be the bigger person, in Alice’s case she might have it width wise, but the troll’s got a height advantage. For now at least
I played it a long time ago and i’m curious about one thing (i’m not scared of spoilers at all), if i’ll follow hannah/rebeca path, will they gain even more weight than in alice path?
I’m curious if i’ll be able to make Becca gain even more if i’ll follow her path
Alice is the MC’s girlfriend. The weight levels for everyone in game are tied to her weight stage. So you can choose to not see Becca and Hannah’s content by turning them down. But there isn’t really a “path” for them. All girls have a good amount of story content or involvement with the MC but it won’t be the same as Alice which will be most of the experience. Becca and Hannah’s content is still worth a play in my opinion. Even if you have played the most recent version but just not seen there stuff.
Thanks, i was always a good guy that never cheated on Alice and never tried hanah/Rebeca path, but i thought that maybe i’ll unlock more their weight stages by following their path.
Thanks for help
I’m pretty much a lurker on here and haven’t posted in a while, but I’ll play devil’s advocate.
I know what it’s like to be frustrated by not being able to express an opinion that is not “politically correct”. Because most of the time we won’t have the chance to meet people like Krodmandoon who will answer in a nuanced and constructed way, but in reality mostly with short, outraged and contemptuous comments that will immediately be called troll/toxic/shitter: we have the right to disagree and to be shocked by an opinion, but that doesn’t justify to behave like that because we think that our opinion is more legitimate and shared by more people.
Even if I don’t necessarily support all the ideas and the formulation can be a bit too frank (which can be explained by frustration) of McDudeBro, I find it exaggerated to say maniac or troll.
That being said, it’s time for me to go back into stasis.
I absolutely agree that he’s entitled to his opinion. Everyone is. His opinion on certain things is clearly very different to mine, and that’s fine. The world would be a very boring place if we all thought the same about everything!
I’d also agree it’s a little harsh to call him a maniac for expressing said opinion. But the tone throughout his posts was antagonistic and clearly designed to provoke a response. I’m entitled to my opinion too, and I’d say that’s kind of troll-like, especially as most of what he posted was inaccurate.
Anyway, onwards and upwards. Let’s change the subject. It’s (almost) Christmas, after all, for those into that sort of thing. Hannah is; especially the parties
I personally don’t think piracy is that bad. But I also don’t go track down the person creating a work of art and try to forcefully convince them. (That’s the deranged step in the process.)
What do I do instead? I read torrentfreak (a news site); which covers piracy adjacent news stories. About overly aggressive enforcement; chilling effects on free speech; and copyright monopoly hollywood and riaa style corporations trying to commssion stastistical studies to prove piracy is evil… only for most statistical studies to show that piracy HELPS them.
The thing is, tiggertoo has a point. Piracy might help a blockbuster movie release, or a famous recording artist’s record sales. There is no evidence to suggest these same studies apply to a niche fan project supported by fan tips.
I have the same opinion on piracy as I do stealing in general, stealing from a soulless multi-billion corporation is morally acceptable, stealing from a small independant author is just an asshole move through and through.
