Well that really sucks. Lacy was easily my favorite character and had far and away the best design of any of the girls, even better than Alice. I gotta admit I really don’t understand why the game’s continued development is dependent on the removal of this character. The previous edit of your main post says “It was either this or cancel the game completely. I’ve been thinking this over for a few days and my first thought was to simply quit, but the more I thought about it, the more I realised that I’d be buggered if I let one truly nasty person spoil everything.”
So does this mean Lacy is based off someone in you real life that you now seriously dislike? Was lacy pitched by a friend or fan of the game who now acts like an ass and you don’t want their character in the game anymore? I’m just super confused because I’ve never seen the creator of a game suddenly refuse to work on a game without removing a well-liked character.
Upsetting news to hear to say the least. I personally liked Lacy the best out of the “side girls”. Her looks, name, personality and story were the best after Alice in my opinion. So, changes to that does not inspire confidence. I can however understand the reasons we all assume these changes are being made and put in your position I am not sure what I would do myself.
I think the issue for me since it’s a sensitive topic and one not up for discussion, it’s left a lot of uncertainty about what will likely go on with her. I honestly wouldn’t mind if Lacy looked the same and her personality and traits were largely the same, but her story was added on to. Either changed how it starts or overall what happens, (outside of her being a feedee in the past and moving in with Alice or the MC, as I liked those ideas.)
Lacy always felt like she has very little content and I know at least part of that is because she was a background character and never meant to be more, which later changed. So, in that sense I would be open to have her change, if it meant more of a character I already loved. Either way it’s your game at the end of the day, and I would rather see it continue on then stop due to something like this.
I would certainly imagine there are personal issues at play where Lacy is either based on someone Tigger knows in real life or reminds him too much of someone. Either way, I don’t think it is our place to pry.
While it’s a shame to see Lacy being removed, I’m more interested in how things will play out for the story now. Will one of the other girls move in to be with Alice or will the roommate idea be scrapped as a whole?
Lacy was my personal favorite character after Alice, but I wholly understand how sometimes the stories we write can change from how we originally expected them to go.
I hope the character’s model lives on in some way, but even if she doesn’t, I know that tiggertoo will continue to make an incredible game that we all enjoy
Did I miss something? I don’t think I skipped any comments but where is this information about the Lacy character going away? I absolutely loved that character and had really high hopes with her plot at the end of version 7. Even more so with some of the images Tiggertoo put on Patreon of her getting quite massive. It’s not going to ruin the game for me but aside Alice she was definitely the best looking girl in the game.
It makes sense to rework/remove lacy given that tiggertoo likely has less real life experience to draw on for writing about a lesbian relationship. Which is my psychic guess as to what her outline was going to contain for the future if she wasn’t removed/reworked.
Although alternatively for all I know maybe lacy’s morph files became corrupted and the original store lost the download and no scene file with lacy in it will load anymore Who knows. But I love to guess.
Ohhh I see. Very ominous, hopefully all is well or soon will be. If the character could be kept, I’d suggest maybe Liz or Kayla. But if she’s completely removed again, wouldn’t tank this game or anything but I’m sure alot of us would be disappointed. I was actually checking in to see if there were any more updates to the game, so hiatus on working on it was definitely not what I was expecting!
Hopefully Tigger can bounce back, we’ll respect his privacy and hope he can get back to his own right state to move forward (both in life and on the game)
Obviously I support the project continuing. I’m sad and sorry to hear about the difficulties and the removal or muting of the character of Lacy, as I also found her rather enjoyable, but as it’s not something I can change, I just have to accept it and let the changes happen as they will. People suck.
In the first post I have a guide or shown below. If you are truly at week 250 you’re probably just not taking Alice out enough since almost all progress in the game is tied to her weight. And her gains are tied to what and how much she consumes among a few other factors.
