The Weighting Game - WIP

Yep! I’m lucky enough to have actually had a feeder/feedee relationship (some of the stuff in my game is loosely based on those experiences), but not everyone has had that chance. Feedees aren’t exactly common, after all. And as it’s all a fantasy, of course the story isn’t ‘that’ realistic.

At the end of the day, this is a game. It’s not supposed to take itself too seriously. I’m hoping people will play it for enjoyment rather than think ‘Oooh, that bit was soooo realistic’. I’ve tried to make my characters all a little different, and to give them some personality - apart from the MC, who I’ve left deliberately vague so that people can hopefully identify with him a little - but I’d never begin to claim that they’re anything remotely approaching complex. There are plenty of lifesim type games out there which go more into the detail of emotions, relationships, feelings, etc.

I agree that the latter game stuff is pretty much spamming Alice with as much food as she can cram into her increasingly large stomach, but in my experience, that’s how things happen if/when a feedee truly gives in to the lifestyle. That said, I do have at least one potential (temporary, don’t worry!) slowdown planned for Alice in the latter stages of the game. Haven’t started work on it yet, but if it comes together, it’ll almost certainly make its way into the game. And, of course, there will be the second feedee that was teased at the end of 0.7 to spice things up a little…

As ever, if anyone has suggestions on this, feel free to make them

I seem to remember playing Lab Rats 1. The game where you make a load of serums that have different effects? Was a long time ago, but I think I enjoyed it, although it always felt a bit limited. Never got round to playing Lab Rats 2.

@CreatureFeep Hopefully! Although Half Life 3 will almost certainly be worth the wait!

Community’s taken up the project as a fork of the original, calling it “Reformulate”.

This is very true. Once you get a feedee to be an eating machine, it is very hard to slow them down, even if you both want to!

Sorry to be slightly derailing this thread, loved what I’ve played of the Weighting game so far especially the broken scales stuff near the end of the current version

In terms of Lab rats 2 does that game actually have weight gain at all. Iv’e heard some places it has some but having tried the original a while back for a but I never found any of it or any possibility of it coming, is there any?

I just started playing the game (with mods) and there is weight gain but not much. you see their weight stats going up and in the beginning you can see them actualy growing from thin to curvy but i think thats it. I´m now trying some pregnancy out to make her belly grow but its going realy slow

I know a lot of people like sprite based stuff, but I’m not much of a fan. Breaks the immersion a bit IMO, to see a nicely rendered background with a character just plonked randomly on the screen. I made the decision fairly early in my game (some people may remember the first demo or two were sprite based and they didn’t look great) to use full renders, and whilst it’s been a hell of a lot more work and very time consuming, I don’t regret the choice.

@jcc309 precisely! With a dedicated feedee, real life feeding is pretty much ‘just’ spamming food at them too

The full renders are also alot more exciting, everytime Alice enters a new stage I was excited to see all the new renders! But with sprites its just once you see the new weight stage thats pretty much it

Is there ever a situation where two girls events will be scheduled for the same time slot and you’ll have to say no to one in order to get the other to pop up? It’s sort of tough to keep track of which girl is on which day, but I’ve never really worried about it and just always said yes to everyone assuming they wouldn’t conflict…

edit: I posted this in the entirely wrong thread, whoops.

@JustChris Yeah, you can’t really do something like the pic below with sprites  As I said, full renders are a hell of a lot of work, but I think they’re worth it (others, who are starting to wonder if I’ll ever finish the game, may disagree!).

@namad I’ve tried to keep the individual girls events very separate, for example meeting Becca at the office will never ( apart from scripted meetings) coincide with when Alice is there. Stuff like the scripted Becca work story is flag driven, so if it’s due to trigger and Alice happens to show up when you’re at work, it’ll still be flagged to trigger the next time you go to work, And, as the Becca story is tied in with the overall story, a rollover to the next weight stage won’t occur until the relevant part of Becca’s story has been seen for the present stage.

Hope that makes sense - my brain is completely fried after an insane day at work!!! Time to chill out by working on more game stuff!

Yeah, thought it might not have been meant for this thread, but was still kinda valid so no harm done

Welcome to weight gaming @Agthal.

The total number of days don’t mean anything for progression within the game. Alice gaining weight is how the main story is progressed and most girls content, except for one, is progressed in general. There are eight total stages including the starting stage (which I’ve labeled as stage zero) so you will hit the end of content at her seventh weight stage and the game will have a to be continued screen which will let you know it’s the end of the content available. If you want specifics, you can check out my walkthrough and FAQ linked in the first post.

As usual, @Krodmandoon is completely right. Time passed doesn’t really matter much in the overall scape of the game. I set out to try and make it so people could play at whatever pace they wanted to. Nothing is time critical.

When you reach the end of the current content, you’ll see a big black ‘To be continued’ screen. You can carry on playing after that, but there won’t be anything new and you’ll almost certainy hit bugs as it’s not been tested beyond that point.

Petition to have a character wear a “Krodmandoon is Always Right” shirt at some point in the game (even if it’s a background character)

I guess I could remove the 'Tigger is god tier* shirt that the MC wears in one of the upcoming scenes :stuck_out_tongue:
