That story was more to show that your actions can have unexpected results from that you wanted. The Prohibition in the US shows something similar. Ban alcohol to get rid of alcoholism to make society better. Result? Created a massive underground market for crime syndicates to profit off, increasing their income making them stronger, causing more social ills(plus any problems cause by alcoholism still existed). in other words they didn’t fix the root causes to alcoholism.
He wants people to experience the game in the way he intended? And when they don’t he takes it as a form of disrespect to his efforts? Scrolling through this thread, you can see people complain about how grindy the game is and how the game loop stops being fun after a few hours. These are the root causes for all the cheating. They feel that the game is disrespecting their time. People play games to have fun, not to be bored for hours from grinding. People don’t have issues with the ideas of the game, just the execution. Yes the creator aren’t obligated to agree that these are issues needed to be fixed. But what do you think people gonna do then? They fix it themselves.

I just wish there was a version where there wasn’t a day limit and but yea cheating I don’t get why they went to the issue to have an anti cheat cuz it’s a single player game really is a shame to add an anti cheat system to a non multiplayer game…
Been replaying this game and it’s been pretty great
It’s a pretty fun resource manager with a hella steep progression curve, maybe its just thanks to hindsight but figuring out a proper route to finishing off all the content asap was quite interesting. The feeling you get from being demolished by everything to being broken af is incredible.
But, on the other hand, the game can be quite grindy in some points. And having to “hold back” on the fights just to see the enemy transform for the gallery is quite annoying.
But overall solid af, maybe is because I like getting my ass handed to me in games but I enjoyed it quite a bit more than I thought.
The game is fun. I player it extensively every day after it came up. Tons of content and just hit my fetish square in. But it is just so grindy and the fact that it has a built-in anti-cheat, just makes it less attractive.
