Vanessa has had a rough week.She goes out with her 3 best friends to the bar and grill to release her tension. Normally well-put-together and in control, she succumbs to the stress and peer pressure and ends up over-indulging and getting drunk, resulting in her friends having to drop her off at home.
She falls asleep and is in her own mind, a nightmare. Soul and Heart run the Conscience, where the 15 pillars of values is held, but Ephrasia, the demon of gluttony, excess, and indulgence, came in, swiped them, and hid them amongst Vanessa’s memories.
Now twisted into gluttonous, indulgent scenes of nightmare fuel, Vanessa must help Soul by venturing into her memories, retrieving these 15 values, and having a showdown with the final boss: Ephrasia herself, before Vanessa awakens and is forever transformed.
Gameplay: iso-view side scroller (think Undertale meets The Last Stand). Mechanics will be no health system, but rather a weight system. Enemies will be perverted versions of people and objects from her memories, trying to fatten her up to immobilize her. There will be a balancing act with the weight, where in some areas you want to be bigger, and in others you want to slay slim. Some weight classes have special abilities and perks (like immunity to being carried off, and the ability to ram/squish enemies with your heft). There will be an arsenal of kitchen/food themed weapons on both sides. The player, after finding values, can equip up to 3 per level. Each value has a bonus/perk to go with it, aiding in the player’s quest to defeat Ephrasia, the demon of excess, gluttony, and indulgence.
