Hey Everyone I just want to introduce myself, I’m Xylaxan883 and This is my first shot at making a game. It’s a longshot but the demo is Massive I hope you enjoy.

Plot:

At 21 years old, you unexpectedly inherit Velvet Dream, the once-renowned nightclub owned by your late uncle. Hoping to preserve his legacy, you soon discover the club is on the verge of bankruptcy. Its loyal secretary, Isabella Royce, explains that the mayor’s new campaign promoting body positivity, self-acceptance, and indulgence has transformed the city’s nightlife, leaving Velvet Dreams’ old-fashioned image behind. Faced with dwindling customers and mounting debt, you realize the only way to save the club is to embrace the city’s changing culture rather than fight against it.

Inspired by the idea, you reinvent Velvet Dreams as a celebration of confidence, excess, and unapologetic self-expression, encouraging guests and staff alike to indulge in life’s pleasures without shame. As the club’s reputation grows, you encounter a diverse cast of new faces, each wrestling with their own insecurities and desires. Through your guidance, they gradually come to embrace a more indulgent side of themselves, helping transform Velvet Dreams into the city’s premier destination for freedom, acceptance, and unforgettable nights.

This is currently a demo with a lot of work in progress. Please be patient as there are a lot of unfinished UI’s and Scenes with story progress that will be added as the game is updated.

Couldn’t take more than a 15 minutes look, but it certainly was interesting.

The setting is intriguing, the girls look good and the premise is potentially ace. “Changing beauty standards” is a trope I myself have used in my comic series, both Gainer Girls and Temple of Beauty, so I definitely approve

Looks like the writing could use some polish and some review for typos, but that’s to be expected for such an extremely early version. I would put in a word of caution about the number of characters, as it looks like there a lot of them already. Personally I would focus on 2 or 3 at most, making a lot of content, scenes and stages for those as opposed to working on all of them at once risking confusion and burnout. But I realize not everybody is like me, totally incapable of working on more than 1 thing lulz.

I would like to first say I’m a huge fan of your work and have been following your series for a while it’s an honor to have you review my game. As for the amount of girls….yeah I spent a year working on this project and got greedy but for future updates I do plan on focusing on 2 to 3 girls per update this large amount is just a baseline to start with for I am but one person working on this all alone and I have some much time on my hands. As far as the typos and story I do plan on polishing it as I go on and get better at writing. I also have to limit certain parts of the story until I can find out how to get more assets such as a larger food variety assets and characters and environments because virt a mate has its limits I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR FEEDBACK THANK YOU

Yeah someone asked if I can compress the image files to make the game alittle smaller I’ll try to work on that.

Heck, I know all about the limitations of VAM! Food item packs are scarce and you have to make do with what you get, but you could try the recolor addon which lets you scale and reshape objects to artificially increase variety. Solid shapes and custom photoshop images can also become “ice cream tubs” and “takeaway boxes” surprisingly easily. The mouthy talking scale is f*ing hilarious by the way, I think you should definitely elaborate on that and make it a staple of the game, because it’s a genius idea and it wouldn’t be too difficult to create an image to serve as a makeshift texture for a flattened cube to give the idea of a display and foot pads.

I thank you for your attention to my works and I assure you I appreciate yours just as much.

I’m glad you enjoyed the mouthy talking scale I originally added that because I got mad that I didn’t have a scale asset so it became a way to vent my frustration in a funny way. As far as the assets I’ll definitely use those ideas and expand on it thankyou again for your feedback

you can take xnconvert and tell it to convert .png files to .webp files and tell it to convert them with loss but to keep like 99% of the quality and end up saving like 50-80% of the filesize and no one’s eyes will be able to tell (xnconvert is a free batch file type convert tool for images…. oh and .webp is the best file format for low file size images of high quality….)

The hardest part would just be all the find and replace work in the code to turn all those file extensions from one filetype to another, buuuuut depending on how the code is written that could be trivial and take 5 seconds, I can’t say.
