ok i just had another souls like idea right after i finished my last post
but this one is centered around weight gain and inflation
this idea is to take a different approach with combat, weapons, and armor
so instead of armor your character weight would correspond with there defense and strength
so the heavier you are the less damage you take and the heavier the weapons you are able to wield
and probably with the more hits you take the more weight you loose
kinda like fat gums ability in my hero academia
so instead of armor slots you could have diet slots where you put different food that can have different effects
like one food could give you denser fat that makes you much heavier but not make you as big so you could still dodge roll easier
one could give you squishier fat that make hits bounce off of you can can stager whatever hit you
and one that gives you a lot of strength so you can use whatever huge weapon you want
and i would add a new apatite stat that allows you to eat more food
so you would probably progress through the game starting off thin and progressively gaining more more weight until by the end you’re a massive barely mobile blob that could probably body slam the final boss to death
this is a very rushed idea i JUST had so there’s a lot of holes that need filling and a lot of bellies need stuffing so if you got any ideas for this or just want to make this yourself be my guest
