Happy New Year’s Eve everyone!
With everything going on with the site recently, namely the wave of negative feedback that happened some time ago as well as the uncertainty of the forum’s future, I wanted to make a space for people to show their appreciation for this site and the impact its had on anyone.
Feel free to share your favorite experiences with this forum, whether it’s finding a game or an audience for your game, positive feedback and critique, and all around experiences with the community.
I’ll give my own below:
I can’t remember when I first found this forum, but it was in the earlier days of The Weighting Game. I love seeing how much energy and creativity people are willing to put into these games, most often without any real financial incentive. Being able to talk with game devs directly makes it feel like we can be part of the process (without any real experience in my case). And at times when I did try making a game on my own, people were always willing to help and point towards resources.
grot and the gang, you folks really rock for all the work you do keeping this place afloat, and while the Patreon drive is keeping me hopeful, I would hate to see the forum go
