As a 3d image creator myself I can attest that every time I take a look at deviant art, where I post my crap, I see asset used by other creators that I have used myself and are even able to name the exact file… LOL
If everybody was worried about doing or using things that are the same or similar to other people’s work nobody would post anything anymore

Haha, yeah, I’m much the same. Especially with things like food where there’s much less variety than clothing :stuck_out_tongue:

Oh btw, I think I know what’s wrong with your custom buttons, I think they might need to be part of a “screen” and that screen might need to be “modal True”.

section will disable much of ren’pys normal functioning, which is what you want.

EDIT:
The above and/or adding this

$renpy.choice_for_skipping()

Before every time you make custom buttons appear on screen. This will tell ren’py that it should treat this moment in time just like a

menu:

would.

Minor downside, there is a small chance you’d also have to retool your code to operate purely on a call and from call system instead of the current system of using jump and occasionally using nothing at all to read from top to bottom through label definitions.
Oh and the game is perfect as is. (But well you know if you really really want to fix a bug only a few people mind.)
Which probably wouldn’t be worth it. BUT the steps listed in my previous post are far easier to implement and might be enough.

To be honest my only gripe with this game is that it skips past the hallway until bedtime when skipping, and I skip a lot when playing Renpys with repeatable scenes. Of course if that’s fixed I’ll have nothing to complain about, because everything else is great, and I like complaining, so that’s a major problem.

In all honesty this is something I’m looking into fixing. But I’m 100% sure there are other things wrong with the game, so never give up! Be on the look out for the next thing to complain about! Lol

ends skipping once when it is hit.
modal True
disables many things when custom buttons appear in a custom screen
and changing jump into call will solve the problem effectively if implemented correctly but it’s more nebulous for me to explain.

I’ll do my best, but it’s hard to stay grumpy when Danielle is so adorable.

Sorry for the absence from the forum!

All is well!

As mentioned, Patreon has the most up to date updates, but im hopeful for a late April release! I cut some content, but the bones are in place to build it out a bit more now. So adding content should be easier on the future.

In other news I’m in the preliminary stages of developing a longer form spinoff comic that started as a throwaway line.

“She-Bulk”!

I’m actually pretty excited about it!

This image is technically not a spoiler as it’s not in the game (yet).

As mentioned previously I am aiming for a late April release, goal date is 04/25. I gotta start laying down hard dates or I’ll tinker forever before releasing an update.

As before, the most current version will be on Patreon, and the second most recent release will then be posted here for free. I posted a long explanation for what was cut and why from the newest version (1.5) on Patreon, but the gist is I got too caught up in “perfect”. I got so hyper focused on trying to iron out some wrinkles that I ran out of time to add other things I had wanted to do for the game. But that’s why it (and to some extent myself) is classified as a work in progress.
