Alright so I just played through the latest version - had a blast!
Here’s my comments:
The practice cooking section at the beginning still feels kinda weird and jarring, and I still dont really get the purpose of the treats, especially since there’s no scenes for them
Sadly, the game still ends at the same point I last played it, but the new content between was very lovely. But, heartbreaking to end right when its really kicking ass.
Speaking of, I adored the hiking content. Some of the best scenes in the game. Tragic to stop seeing ass shots near the end.
I have my same gripes as I used to: two of our gal’s friends rub me the wrong way. I cannot stand Kimmy or the fitness chick. Kimmy is unnattractive imo, despite her fatness, and I do not like her meanspirited nature, despite pretending to be a friend. Reasons for disliking the OTHER friend should be obvious lol. Man I hope the next update is just running over her mom with a pickup truck or something…
Some of the video game scenes drag on too long, especially at lower weight levels. It really feels like a chore to click through them, compared to other scenarios, due to the length. The beach, despite being super sexy, can also be a chore at times, due to having less overall unique dialogues than the others Im pretty sure.
LOVE visiting her workplace, but it just reinforced that I do not care about my secretary gal at all lol and I wish I did. She is a poor man’s Rebecca, haha other game reference.
That all aside, there is some godlike dialogue, lovely scenes, sexy scenes, 10/10 models, and beautifully well crafted renders of fatty bellies and tight clothes. Please keep up the good work!
Im glad you enjoyed the game, the goal this time was to add new content to the existing story, but the storyline will continue in the next (1.6) version!
Speaking of story, the two characters in question will be humbled eventually, and that’s all I’ll say for now to avoid being too spoilery.
The hiking content will feature more behind shots as you ASSist (sorry not sorry) Danielle over the rocks in the future.
The treats were and are intended as a way to speed the gain, mainly its a fast track for when things feel too grindy. Some additional content there is not a bad idea though.
As for Shelly, I hope to flesh her out more in future updates, she an homage to one of my favorite tropes, “secretary spread”.
The main limiting factor for daz3d is VRAM. Because iray renders about 1000 times faster on a gpu (nvidia only) than on a cpu, but if it can’t fit inside the vram it drops from gpu to cpu.
If your scene requires 101% as much vram as you have, the entire scene will render on cpu and take forever. Laptop sku’s of GPU’s often have less vram than their desktop compatriots although this can be hard to lookup because the laptop sku’s don’t get alternate brand names or anything to google. Although this might not always be the case depending on which one.
I forget if you mentioned what specs you’re on currently.
I had a thought about the gaming session win scene. You stated it would be rng in the later stages. I saw it once during my normal playthrough and going back and running through it maybe 10-12 times of doing nothing but that in stage five, I had it appear twice back to back and that was it. I can get behind the idea of having some content that helps break up repeating events. So I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing to be rng.
I will say I like the thought of it being something that happens naturally within the stage as I think it makes sense with the dialogue already in game with the MC really analyzing Danielle to get the bet reward. Given how competitive she is it would make sense that when a weakness was discovered and she loses that she would overcome that and “reset” in the next stage.
I think it also makes sense that Dani would start slipping up with the MC getting more practice in the stage learning how to overcome her and some of the habits she falls into as indicated by the in game dialogue. And her getting sloppier due to her increased focus on more gluttonous things as the stage goes on. That would play nicely into how you have the current structure of things that repeating the same event has different dialogue or variations, until the pay off of eventually beating her in the stage.
Maybe playing against her the first two times follows the same path of first set of dialogue, followed by second and then the third time is a win for the MC.
However, if the plan is to keep the current rng system maybe making it more likely the scene will trigger based on each time it doesn’t would be a good idea. That way eventually it will happen no matter what. Assuming that doesn’t break your intended design and the way you want the scene to function.
Yeah, I’m not too sure the specs on my current laptop, but I know its low end. I am saving to upgrade to a new device that has better VRAM and hopefully a better graphics card.
My idea for the video game “win” scenario mirrors your own, right now its a 1 in 10 chance, as things progress I was going to bump it up to make it more likely!
Every graphics card has a certain amount of VRAM and there’s no way to alter it, VRAM isn’t a separate component.
@tiggertoo Yeah, 100% agree, desktop all the way, because if you need more VRAM in a desktop you buy a new graphics card, with a laptop you throw the laptop away.
Or more RAM, hard disk space, processor power, etc. etc… My desktop (middle of the road model when I bought it) is more than five years old, but I’ve upgraded pretty much all the components - plus the monitor - in that time, meaning that it’s still more than fast enough for almost anything I throw at it.
You can never have too much VRAM. Daz Studio is an absolute HOG when it comes to memory. I have 8GB and over half of my renders drop to the CPU…
Not to mention before dropping from gpu to cpu the textures are compressed in vram with a lossy compression mechanic (because only that compression mechanic is fast enough to be worth having in vram)
I have fixed most of the typo’s and some of the other coding things, like the new work stages triggering before the WG scene.
I don’t know if I can swing a desktop in my current situation is the only drawback there.
There is a bug that has plagued my game since the get go and I think it ties to the coding I have for the day cycle which can on occasion cause an infinite loop.
I think I have a fix for that but it may not be ready until next week. My day job schedule is nuts this week.
This is the error I was referring too, the infinite loop. I have a fix in mind but it involves restructuring parts of the day cycle. This in of itself will lead to lots of recoding so I am hoping to have a patch for the infinite loop next week.
If for some reason you need to use a laptop and only a laptop, you can still use the information, that the only specification that matters really at all will be the vram of the laptop version of the nvidia gpu.
For example in a laptop several higher tier/quality gpu’s don’t come with a vram size upgrade. And the chart for laptop vram amounts is entirely different from the chart for desktop cards.
JarrodTech on Youtube is also a very good Laptop reviewer if you still need a laptop. He goes into lots of detail for many different gaming laptops and does lots of gaming and productivity tests
