Totally fair. This was when I was even more of a novice in coding than I am now, so all “negative” actions were tied to one variable and one scene. I am working on creating a new scene that’s only related to the appetite stimulant being used, that should be updated in the next version.
I am very happy to say that the new version of the game should be released on 2/11/25!

I always make grand plans and a bunch of stuff ends up on the cutting floor. From the scraps this time I should be able to put out a patch that’ll add a whole new activity on the weekends by March.
To be completely honest this is not groundbreaking or even better than what’s come before. This isn’t a complete rehash or remodel, bugs and typos will probably be there. But I am doing my level best to deliver a good story. I’m not a coder or an artist. Or even all that articulate.
However, if you like the characters, story, and/or the game, hopefully you’ll like this next piece.
Thank you all for hanging in there as I tootled along getting this update worked on. Lots and lots of life stuff that delayed, or stopped production for a while. Nothing terrible, but it took time away from development.
i was thinking that the update will be released until november 2 then i realized that it’s in february due to in english the month go first then the day lol (sorry, english is not my mother language)

I have linked the 1.5.1 version to the top post free a few weeks earlier than normal.
The 1.6 version is finished and I am currently bug hunting (thankfully nothing so far). So the Feb 11th release date is borderline guaranteed unless some emergency happens that day.
The new stuff is as listed above and below:

What’s not yet in it is a more compelling Shelly, a new activity, better grammar, and less spelling errors.
The new activity I have planned is fully rendered, but the story piece not yet finalized or coded. I am hoping to release a 1.6.5 update over the summer featuring a better Shelly and the release of this “activity”.
Work convo about the email with Karen, you both end up in your office instead of hers (wrong background called) after the close up of D at her desk.
Skipping text still occasionally leaves navigation options up after they’re supposed to be taken down (which allows for actions that crash things, like baking a cake after running out of time in the day by navigating to the kitchen from the ‘lay down in bed’ one choice menu)
The “Visit Danielle” option from work skips during Phase 3 if selected before the flannel shirt cutscene. The choice probably shouldn’t be available? Or it should give a quick “Turns out she’s out of the office today running errands” message?

Stage 3, just after she loses the belt, there’s multiple references to a piece of bundt cake as a cheesecake.

Phase 4, she sometimes answers the door, says hi, and then turns out not to be home (?) if the user selects “Chat” (but is home if the user suggests a date or comes bearing dessert).
The long awaited, and probably still bug filled release of 1.6 on Patreon! The changelog is a post or two up so I won’t bore you with all those details again.
Suffice to say, some stuff changed, the next chapter is included, and a new antagonist introduced.
By and large the quality remains the same, there is just more now.
I’ll monitor here and patreon for any bug reports and try to get a patch out by Thursday!

Exception: Possible infinite loop.
Someone else said they had this but that restarting the game fixed it, this bug has been inconsistent in its appearance. I havent been able to recreate it to pin it down.
Its a problem ive been unable to solve, so this bug bugs me . I updated my renpy engine to the most recent and o thought that had nipped this for 1.6.
If you skip after you press that you’re leaving work, or if you skip in the hallway at home it passes time which could potentially freeze your game if you leave the skip button on.
Just press the Control Key to skip dialog at the other portions instead of keeping the skip function on.
I tried that and just reading it normally and the game keeps freezing in many parts of the game. The most recent free version on this forum. 1.5.1 was a lot buggier
