Pretty much what it says on the tin. I forgot if there was going to be another game jam or not this December, because we already had one this Summer
For many reasons, we decided to only host one major game jam a year. This is partly due to finances (these are expensive to run), partly due to timing (right now would be awful trying to find a time with the major holidays coming up), and also we plan these out months in advance with advertising campaigns, networking with content creators, theme voting/discussions, etc.
More than all of that, though, we recognize that the game jams are stressful and exhausting for the content creators here, and while everyone seems to have good fun with them, we are still ultimately inviting them to take two weeks out of their schedules to join our competition. At the end of the day, we don’t want to burn them out or take any more time away from their main projects.
At some point down the line, we might revisit this policy. We have had several developers express interest in more game jams, but that would still require our finances to pick up. Which, on that note, if you do want the next game jam and the other endeavors this site works towards to be more successful, remember we currently reinvest almost all of our Patreon funding into this community, it projects, and, more importantly, its content creators.
Oh yeah, relax time
I will have time to prepare and train myself to arise victorious next game jam!
Who am I kidding? All year is relax time
