Good day everyone! I am very happy to say that we are now ready to announce the 2nd annual Fat Fortnight game jam and its prizes! Prizes, I hear you all say, isn’t Weight Gaming still in the red? Yes we are, but @kilif and I wanted to do something special for you all and with the help of @avakann we will have prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and community choice winners this year all covered out of pocket for you all!
So enough dragging you all along, lets get to this years prizes:
1st - $500
2nd - $200
3rd - $50
Community Choice - Hyperdimension Neptunia steam code donated by @avakann. Thank you @avakann!
Also just to review, the theme will be announced and the game jam will open up on July 26th 12:00AM MDT (GMT-6) and close on August 9th 11:59PM MDT (GMT-6).
And as usual, if you want to help support us so we can hold more game jams and support the production of more fat, weight gain, and expansion focused games consider donating to us through our Patreon!
Theme: In the workplace We hope that you’ll interpret the theme more broadly than the theme appears at first glance. You could make a game that uses a fast food assembly line as a mechanic, but you could also have a game that simply takes place as an office. Additionally you can be creative about what a workplace can be. A tourist site. A brothel. A mine. A panhandler’s corner. Be creative with how you incorporate the theme into your project.
Hey I was wondering if it was okay for the game’s story to have fantasy elements. Like magic and potions and stuff? I want to stick to the theme of workspace but with the kind of expansion I want, fantastical elements are kind of necessary so is it still eligible for the contest?
Ya you can go use fantasy elements, nothing says it has to be modern. We dont restrict the context, just make sure the game centers around something that is business or work related in nature. Otherwise you can dress it up any way you want
Go to Categories, then at the bottom the 2nd. Annual Fat Fortnight 7/2019, click on that.
Then in the upper right corner should be a plus. That’s how you make a topic. Click on that, write your stuff and upload your game to a download provider, post the link and you’re good to go.
