I’d read through the thread, if I were you. In short, feed her.
The new version is up on the itch page. I tried smashing dingotush’s patcher and the machine translator tool together and the control buttons ended up disappearing, so I guess I’ll have to wait like everyone else.
Anyone figured out how the new adoption and mayoral things work yet?
EDIT: Nevermind, I just had to do a fresh install for the new version.
This seems important for some unfathomable reason. What do you mean? Is the heart attack just from overeating all fat, or is it a percentage of what you’ve eaten that day? I have yet to die from this in the game, and would honestly like to avoid having it fire.
And at the risk of double-posting, am I the only one who finds the early game near impossible unless you use some rather gamey tactics? I find if I don’t spam lottery tickets and hope the mob doesn’t find out I’m taking advantage of their money laundering scheme, I just can’t make enough to survive without my health or wellness crashing first.
The new version has a difficulty selection, with the hardest difficulty being the previous default. That should help some. And I definitely don’t just edit in money at the start.
Out of curiosity, does anyone know how to unlock the Patisserie with Peanut Butter? Also, despite having the house, I don’t have the bbq as a meal option.
To get BBQ and the bigger meal options you have to increase your stomach capacity by doing things like eating past your limit and going to bed nearly full. You can’t be too full because you’ll get sick though, so do it earlier in the day. Or you can cheese it and just walk to several locations and leave without expending a time slot.
As for the peanut butter patisserie, you can get that by going to the library and meeting up with a fan of yours that recognizes you (RNG event). He hands you like 5 of them out of his pocket lol. I’m not sure the threshold needed to meet him though. I think the only other way to get it is to have it mailed to you by a fan or something. It’s not a recipe or anything, just a snack.
Also the library is a really good way to get events that raise certain body parts. The peanut butter cookies are really good for butt growth and there’s also an event where you get a choice of 4 snacks, each one increases a different body part by quite a lot.
yeah so not every food has an attribute that increases body fat, but body fat will increase no matter what you’ve eaten if your stomach is over capacity by end of day. But if you’ve gorged yourself on food that increases body fat (usually only possible to gorge this much with the help of hunger increasing meds) then regardless of whether you’re over stomach capacity or not you could suffer a heart attack that day if your stomach capacity is small enough.
I’m now very tempted to look in the game files and see what all the RNG events are, lol.
I’ve been doing a playthrough without using any of the supplements or creating a curvyvid account, and just relying on the teacher’s salary and the three businesses as a passive base. One thing I’ve noticed is that I missed a bunch of random events the first couple times around. Not sure how they’re all weighted, though. I’ve gotten the busted plumbing event several times, but only was forced to work out by my cousin and popped the button on my shorts while cleaning once each.
Kind of curious to see what else I’ll find now, and wondering if the different accommodations have different random events, like the clothes.
Since Dingotush might not have the time to get to it for a while, I took the liberty of half-assing a translation for 0.12. My French is pretty horrific - we didn’t make it through the French I textbook in two years of classes, and that was well over a decade ago - so this is mostly machine translations for the new stuff, edited for clarity and to sound a bit more natural. I can’t guarantee that I have the meaning or tense of some of the lines correct, though.
The zip file contains prepatched scripts as well as mapped files for the patcher, although they won’t all work with the patcher as it looks like it’s hardcoded to only patch certain files; the adoption and mayoral events use new script files that the tool doesn’t touch. Anyways, just extract the zip below into an 0.12 install (please don’t try installing over the 0.11 release, bad things will probably happen), overwrite the files when asked, and it should work. If something breaks, let me know and I’ll take a look at it, as I haven’t had time to play around with it too much.
EDIT: Updated the files to fix a few small typos, one of which might have caused an error screen.

The only thing I’ve seen (just a quick pass, honestly) is that the citizens are not impressed with my donations. I think that’s backwards - or if it’s right, is confusing. If I throw down a million of my own cash, I would expect they would appreciate it.
Honestly, that’s one of the ones that bugged me the most. There’s a positive change to how the citizens view you regardless of how much you donate (obviously it grows with the size of the donation), but the line is the same regardless: “Les citoyens sont impressionnés pas votre implication et générosité.” The use of pas, or ‘not’, would be the negation of the first half of the sentence - Les citoyens sont impressionnés, or ‘The citizens are impressed’; in other words, it becomes ‘The citizens are not impressed’, unless pas is being used in a way I’m unfamiliar with.
Regardless, I at least attempted to change the line to make it noticeable that there was at least some positive amount of feedback in ‘not very’, which would be more than entirely unimpressed. Regardless, the positive change in reputation even for smaller donations is still about on par with any of the smaller positive resolutions you can enact.
Does this game have money cheats? I don’t have much patience for this kind of thing and I keep dying nonstop and it’s making me more frustrated than happy
Does French require double negatives to be negative? I may not recall much of my Russian courses, but I remember the prof saying that to make a negative statement, you essentially had to do a double negative, even though that’s grammatically incorrect in English.
One of the only bits of French I know is, je ne parlez pas francais, which indicates to me that might be the case.
I could also be totally out to lunch, mind.
Generally, ne [verb] pas is standard negative form, but (unless I’m misremembering) it’s pretty common in informal speech to simply drop the ne; in conversation you could say ‘Je parlez pas francais’ and it’d be pretty well understood what you meant.
EDIT: Actually, it just occurred to me that it might’ve been a simple typo in the first place; a number of lines that had to be updated for the translator were minor fixes like that. It’d make a lot more sense if the original line was “Les citoyens sont impressionnés par votre implication et générosité”; generally, ‘by’ instead of ‘not’.
As for easy money, as long as you can spam the lotto you will generally earn more than you lose, although it might take a few hundred coins of startup to gain the traction you need. The character creation options in 0.12 allow for a higher starting amount and starting in an apartment or studio. There’s also some debug options at the bottom of the home menu in script.rpy that have been commented out; you can uncomment them, and one of the options is to give the player an ungodly amount of cash.
I’ve been wondering, how does the city economics work? You can select from poor, average, or rich, but I’m not sure what kind of a difference it makes
Dunno what broke in-between versions or the translation patch, but reading either the scientific book or a romance novel just crashes the game. Will look out for more of these broken passages and add them accordingly.
Pretty sure that goes away after you start to gain weight. I dunno why but I only got that error to fire when my character was skinny. Either way, you can just hit “ignore” and the game resumes as normal.
After applying this, when I start a new game and name my city I get an error that will not let me ignore, and when I try to play on my old file every option leads to an error. Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it?
