But from what I can offer it sounds like a bug more in rpgmaker itself rather then Apostles. Some solutions I can offer are to A close all non needed programs and tabs you might have and B do a quick restart of the computer. Overuse on computer memory will make RPGmaker crash often.
And last, and I realize this might seem COUNTER productive, but don’t actually rapid click through the text, as I’ve found that doing that will also break the game.

Managed it. Can’t speak for certain what really solved it because I only restarted my computer after I managed to grind my way past to the next spot where I could save, but beyond that point I’ve had no issues. I really appreciate the story going on here though and can’t wait for the next portions.
This and Some Bullshit are currently up there in my list of favorite projects because both of them are telling genuinely interesting and compelling stories alongside playing to the shared kinks of the community, and I wish I could do more than gush about them all the time because these are the kinds of things I want to see so much more of. I’ve constantly said that a work being designed to appeal to a fetish or being sexual in nature doesn’t have to mean the quality of the rest of the work suffers, and these two games have been incredible testaments to that.

And you hit what I wanted most for the game, a good story story that works in harmony with the fetish. Not a game where fetish or story takes away from the other!
I am starting to like that this game is not Black and white it is gray, that our main Characters are dark and can DO horrible things but they have rules, codes and are just trying to help the people around them but not for the reason the villages think in fact they maybe even lying to themselves.

This update was fucking stellar. The little bit where you play as Violet in the infinite stairwell was fun and the bit with puzzle was nice. But god DAMN you hit me in the feel bone for some parts of the game and i loved every fucking second of it.
I’m not gonna lie, I found myself skimming over some of the sexy time bits because I care FAR too much about whats happening in the story to jack off.
My ONLY gripe with the game is that I can’t recommend this game to people in a normal conversation because… you know… it’s technically a porn game.

And I’ll take the skimming as a compliment! While I’m never going to ignore or shy away from the sex (in case that wasn’t obvious by Lily’s fun room) I’m very happy to hear that the game works even without it! That’s also why I put the recall room at the end of each update, so players who skipped the longer text scrolls in favor of story can go back there at there leisure.
And I don’t know what you mean by your last point, you are telling me you don’t mention the WG games at cocktail parties? What has the world come to!
SPEAKING OF THE END ROOM TO ANYONE INTRESTED I’ll be making a mini ‘update’ some time this month that will improve the recall room a bit but more importantly do away with the scrolling text with large text boxes. That will move at player chosen pace.
I found a bug, because the main program is 32-bit, when the game is late, the game may crash at any time due to memory overflow. I hope the game.exe can replace the 64-bit.
@Sino Sorry not really tech savy, to understand more then the general gist of that. Sorry to ask but can you explain what you mean in terms fit for someone with 0 to no computer skills?

Thank you, thank you, thank you! a thousand times over! I’m not a very fast reader (also not a native speaker) so I found myself having to go back 2 or 3 times in some of the scrolling text segments, which wasn’t that big a problem since I really enjoy the writing (from all the fetish games I’ve played easily my top 1 favorite) and was probably gonna go back for a third read anyway, but the scrolling speed was starting to become a real annoyance. It was somehow just too fast to read at a leisure speed, but also just too slow to quickly skip to a further section (even when holding space to increase the speed)
Also, something else on that note (although maybe something much more difficult to fix and probably not even worth the effort). I really love how the pace of the text is so dynamic, as it adds just soo much to the game (really, I could spend hours talking about how it is super underutilized in other RPGs and how much it adds to the character portrayal and storytelling, and even the comedic timing and immersivenes of the game), but I can’t seem to ignore that in some instances of the text advancing by itself it feels lie I should be able to read the whole thing even briefly before it jumps to the next one, but some times I wont be able to catch the last couple words, even after knowing when it will happen and after trying to reach it multiple times, and I end up with an itch as if I missed out on something. I honestly don’t know what could be done to fix it tough. Even if there was an option to change it to normal text, I wouldn’t even want to turn it off (not to mention it would probably be super difficult to implement), and I’m guessing the RPG tool doesn’t have an option to return back to the last dialogue or logg it like in some visual novels… but it’s such a small pet peeve compared to how much I enjoy the dynamic dialogue that it doesn’t really matter.
Improving on the scrolling sections will be a much appreciated quality of life update.

And thank you for the compliments to the story it really means a lot! I’m still finishing up on the text stuff (and will be done some time this month) but I couldn’t help but start on 0.5, and lot’s of new story stuff to be had!
And you about guessed it for any sort of ‘message backlog’ system. While it would be quite useful I don’t really have a way to implement a system like that unfortunately .
Hello everyone! Hard to believe we are already 1 month done with the new year. Hope everyone is getting along well.
The update to the scrolling text has now been finished. For anyone out of the loop this is merely a quality of life update to help with text speed now at user pace, and not an addition of new content. 865.73 MB file on MEGA
However that’s not to say I haven’t been idle! I’ve been working at the new content for 0.5 here and there! Part of me wanted to make 0.5 Gretel focused as she has been slightly sidelined these last two releases, but I think it was more sensible to finish up the inn story line.
So 0.5 will focus heavily on the inn, the residents of Auburnwoods stuck indoors from the storm, and as a bonus the next section with Heather. If you have anything you really want to see there feel free to shoot my any idea messages publicly or privately I’m always open for brainstorming!
But for now I think that’s all I got, hope everyone is doing well in this new year.
