She has three power sources.
- She has a magic capacity of OVER NINE THOUSAND due to Cynthia’s experiments.
- She is the Apostle of Wrath.
- She bears the symbol of the Apostle of Gluttony
She has three power sources.
Good spot! Yeah there was some fun with world play I put in. Thank you for the compliments!
Interesting. The gods split into two factions- Niss and Tuvires but I notice no confirmation as to which sided with which. Obviously implied to be gluttony, sloth, lust vs wrath, envy, pride, greed but with recent revelations…
Keep in mind, Cynthia also said that “those old battle lines have since changed significantly” …but also keep in mind Cynthia is well…Cynthia. Everything she says should be viewed with doubt to her honesty.
Another good catch!
same. i feel like mauve sections could have been in the main story as a contrast with the rest of the update. boxes of text did felt a bit too optional.
maybe actually play with him, eat to earn points and build your own room idk… something like that, and to not exceed the limit of the update make lilly to visit him when he reach certain weight limit to not abuse of it
that feels a bit too complex for what waxer is planning on doing. if im honest apostles feels more like a very fun and interactive visual novel. adding more mechanics would be unnecessary since the main draw is the writing.
well… we actually played with heather
not really. we interacted with the enviroment that was given to us and her but what you asked was straight up base building, unless you meant mauve simly pickig what he wants.
hmmmm probably just eat with him via minigame and then when the player reach some points mauve itself decides if he use them to buy things and then automatically place them wherever he wants and at some point lilly will come to visit him just to stop the player to achieve points to not abuse from the mechanic and of course gaining weight
Huh, seems I misjudged just how many Mauve fans there are out there! And there have been several other voices who voiced similar polite displeasure over the text only Mauve sections. Which is fair! I’ll keep that in mind, both for future Mauve content and other content in the future for other characters.
On to what to do with Mauve, while I do want to do something with the point system, as it has been a point of interest for many, the discussion between the two of you has illustrated how hard it might be to make in a satisfactory gameplay fashion. But I won’t let them discourage me from trying…eventually! I have a small section planned for Mauve next update, but I’m unsure when there will be update space to give him a full room dedicated update.
i just want to say that i’m going to be happy just for play with mauve and heather again maybe heather is almost heavy and big as mauve and i really want to be able to see that
Yeah not sure if it would be possible or not but I’d like to reread some of the Heather and Sebas scenes.
Don’t think its possible in the gallery viewer once you finish the current content
So, nobody has explicitly mentioned this but The Sword is Gretel’s symbol of Wrath, right?
@BlueLLAMA a feature like that is one my eventual todo list! I can’t do full replays of scenes in map, but I can probably get the text in its own library….eventually.
It is! Good spot.
i hate him as a person but love him as a character. i believe he is great commentary on lily and the idea of punitive or reformative prisions and what it takes to punish someone.
My level of hyperfixation has elevated to “stop having fat sex, I’m looking for lore.” Ok, big theory time…
Cynthia stated that she didn’t use “random human souls” to make the apostles. I’m going to take “human” in this instance as including elf and beastial. I did wonder if she used her own children but they seem more like candidates. Also I don’t think the timeline adds up- apostles are older than the ~230 years of her children.
She used the gods themselves, creating the Niss in the process. There are 14 Gods, 7 Niss (anagram of sins) and 7 Tuvires (anagram of virtues).
A very interesting theory! Can’t say publicly whether you are all, partially, or not at all right, but it’s a cool theory nonetheless! Thank you for looking at the game with such a critical eye!
