I made a poor life decision to stay up until 4:13AM my time to play and finish the update. I liked it a lot although I’ll prob have to replay it since my brain got a little mushy at parts. I’ll leave a more detailed review in the morning… who am I kidding, I’m not waking up til 1PM lol

Ive been playing through it this morning and its great so far no complaints, I just noticed Lilly has her skinny sprite when first visiting Dina but it switches to her new one when they move upstairs.

have you tried using pixeldrain for uploading, a file there lives for 60 days and it resets to another 60 each time it’s downloaded.

Ok, so its been quite awhile since I did one of these mega reviews, but here we go. A quick preface, it’s been awhile since my last full play through so I’d like to apologize in advance if I have forgotten some plot elements, but I think I’ve got a decent handle on it still.
Spoiler free section: This update was amazing, very long, can def feel the years of work behind this one. Honestly I think this one breaks the mold of being a story focused or fetish focused update, there is plenty in equal measure. I would argue this is the best and most balanced update yet, which is very high praise. If you have previously enjoyed anything in Apostles, there’s guaranteed to be something you’ll love in this update.
Now I shall move on to the spoiler talk in the form of the character to character review as I did years ago.
Main cast:
Gretel: Gretel is doing well this update. No new weight stage (it’s even lamp shaded in one of the end of update fake outs), but that is fine. I enjoy a slow burn, I’m glad we’re not rushing her gain. She’s very sympathetic this update, having to deal with Sebastian in a way we haven’t seen before, standing up for herself in a reasonable manner. It seems that the roles have reversed this update, Gretel being the one having to try and help him while dealing with his magic educed insanity. I used to think Gretel would have a face turn at some point, become the villain, but now I’m not certain of what her future holds (a running theme you’ll come to see through out my thoughts). It was also very nice to see her have a girls day out with people more immediately relatable to her (I was going to say in her demographics but her demographic is a hundreds of years old horror bound in human skin, so that’s not really accurate). Even with Fresha and Dana constantly at each other’s throats, it’s nice to see her get small victories with them considering how troubled her “home life” is right now.
Sebastian: So uh… I know that I said last time that he’s having it rough, and nothing has really improved, the opposite it seems. Still, I’ve gone from “'I’m concerned about my friend” feelings with him to “I think he’s a danger to himself and everyone around him”. I did mean it when I said him and Gretel seem to have switched roles, with him being the one with anger issues whipping out violence on a whim and having a very short temper. Of course this is due to her influence I imagine. When you’re giving the apostle of wrath a run for her money, you know it’s getting bad. I’m putting him on suicide/villain watch for the time being. At least he was quite fun in Lily’s/Heather’s section. I expected him to lash out during that too, but I’m glad he didn’t spoil it.
Lily: I know I’ve been a big Lily hater in the past, but I don’t dislike her at all, just have some issues with her morality and portrayal at times. In my eyes, she’s very harmless on that side this update, in full goober-bitch mode. She’s left out of major story beats for the most part, reveling in interactions with the side cast. It was funny that her getting cucked by Veronica and Sophia has turned into an actual plot point, I thought during the last update she felt like a third wheel and it’s nice to see my gut was right. I do feel bad for her of course, I wouldn’t say the relationship was entirely wholesome and it’s certainly not over, but I was sad to see her reaction. She was also quite fun during the Spooky Heather side story, but I will leave those thoughts for Heather’s section of this review. I will say the most mysterious part of this update is that she’s started to pack on some pounds too, like viably. Gretel doesn’t get a weight stage but the pink feeder does?! Joking of course, it is interesting. I’m probably overthinking the possibilities, but I’m left wondering the specifics behind it. Is it purposeful? Of course she must be aware. Is it to blend in with the townies? Is this her own tendency to play the fatso leaking out of the bedroom? Is she mimicking Gretel? Is this to win back Veronica and Sophia’s affection? The world may already know and i just forgot or missed it in my sleep dazed stupor lol.
Major side characters:
Dana: Woah boy do I have a a LOT to say about Dana. Let me start with this: I don’t know if my previous input effected the direction or the inclusion of anything in this update regarding her character, and that’s perhaps giving myself too much credit. Still, I feel seen, I feel heard, and boy oh boy is it nice. So to get it out of the way, I very much enjoyed her opening section. I know blueberry isn’t something your typically into, but let me say you are great at scratching that itch. I loved the way it’s an ecstasy for her, a upper rather than a downer of her usual booze of choice, how it fills her up in every way, emotionally, mentally, energy, especially fiscally. The idea that her hedonism is leading her to drink so much that she balloons like that~ Gosh. I would love a prolonged transformation scene, getting all the details of her cloths ripping or her stripping, how she some keeps drinking after becoming so taut and full or how she drinks her fill and lays back to let herself grow. A very minor nit pick is that her character portrait and her sprite have very different shades of blue, but that’s very minor. She’s already at a size I’d consider to be a full blueberry, however I’m eager to see where she goes from there, knowing this game’s proclivities to take things to the very extreme of size. I would kill to see her and Gretel have another earnest drinking session. I don’t know where else to put this, but I want to note it before moving on to the rest of her content this update: I’m also surprised she’s gaining traditionally. Idk if its water weight or if she’s just been gorging regularly too, but I was quite surprised. Not saying it’s bad whatsoever, I just thought she had her gimmick and that she wouldn’t be double dipping on both ends~Ok, onto her actual characterization. Dana the best she’s ever been, still very much herself but making her interact with the outside world was a wonderful step forward. It’s very touching that her and Gretel’s friendship was able to make her take such a big step forward. I was glad to see her interact with most characters, how she’s more welcome and treated more kindly than her or perhaps even the audience expected. The snippets of her former life, heart breaking. To see such a sweet and doting mother in a character we know falls so fucking hard, heart wrenching. Her and Fresha was a very interesting match up, mostly because they’re more similar than I had previously considered and yet very different in just the perfect way that it creates the perfect tension. It’s nice that she’s making connections again even if they cannot replace what she had with her family (as greatly shown with her visiting Pam’s house at the end) .
Her character and future is in a lot more exciting place than it was before this update, I’d argue she has had the best glow up in it. I know I’m like her super fan/advocate on here, but I really do genuinely enjoy what’s been done with her. I do have conflicting feelings, that may have been designed to be there, where I enjoy her blue wine filled, swelling hedonism, but I also acknowledge that it’s a vice that holds her character back. Will she over come it totally? Will she regress and become a forever mindless drunken blueberry? Will she turn into a milf wine mom who goes on benders during the weekends? Maybe even a perma-berry who has to go around town explaining to everyone why she’s blue now? I don’t know, and I happily await to see what you do with this amazing character next.
Fresha: Surprisingly enjoyable. Much like her daughter I had written her off as a flavor of nonredeemable bitch, but I’m glad to be proven wrong. It’s very interesting to get peaks into her past and I’m glad Gretel got her to lower her walls and start developing a bit (even if her and Dana get along like a prized poodle and a rabid wolf). I’m surprised to say I’m glad she was here.
Dina: I don’t like slob and she’s still a bitch. She’s an accessory to Fresha’s development, but not much else. I will say I also have an issue with her visuals. Her sprite is a lot more detailed and polished now, however her scaling kinda bothers me. Like I don’t want to be a nit picking asshole, but her sprite makes her look like she’s at least 1,000 pounds compared to everyone else and her movement difficulties reflect that, but her listed weight is only 426. Just sorta bothers me since she’s only a bit heavier than Gretel and Pam who don’t have those issues, and actually weighs less than Jacob, Mauve, and Heather. All of them have moment difficulties, but Dina is the only one on the edge of immobility? I get that there’s physical fitness differences and magical factors to explain the differences in the writing, but her massive sprite still throws me off.
Veronica & Sophia: Glad to see their relationship to be more developed and outgrow the need for Lily to prune and tend to it. I rather like them together, and the scene with Lily walking in on Veronica sucking Sophia’s tit was hilari ous.
Sam: It was nice to get an update with her, a welcome surprise since Sebastian has pretty much been on the bench regarding townies. If you don’t mind me asking, is her new found chocolate craving supposed to imply that’s the reason it’s all going to her hips? I love that trope, as well as a formerly fit and confident gal getting clumsy with their rump. Can’t wait to see her back in town. I’m eager to see what she’ll look like at larger sizes considering her fierce competition with Heahter and Asma in the ass departm ent.
Steph: Get this bitch a sandwich before she blows away like dust in the wind. Nice to hear that she’s almost done. I imagine this means that the next update will either have to take place right as her fasting ends or shortly after. Honestly I have no idea how she’ll catch up to her sisters, maybe just sheer force of rebounding glut tony.
Heather: I really liked Heather’s segment, but it did start in a funny way, and I don’t mean the fact it was the second update end fake out. This is gonna make me seem like a one track gooner, but when I saw her dress and the lollipop trees, I thought we’d be getting a willy wonka parody with Mauve as Augustus, Lilly as Wonka, and Heather as Violet. I felt silly pretty quickly, but you look me straight in the eye and tell me that’s not somewhere in Lily’s big book of debauchery plays. But yeah, to get tot the point, it was nice to have a low stakes ending (especially for Sebastian). I’m lukewarm on the pig tf side quest, but honestly it was no where near as bad as slob (I don’t have a reason for it, vibes I guess). I did make ample use of the game skip rewards, though. The games were mostly fine, with straight forward solutions or cleaver work around. I did have a glitch where I ran out of time in the candle room and the blinking effect persisted (all the way through the cut scene and into the end of update room). Heather was fun as always, having to play along or subvert Lily and her games. I like this version of their rivalry better than the moral le ctures.
Supporting characters:
I don’t have much to say about these characters and plot lines, so most of these will be brief.
Jacob & Maya: Glad to see them still at it, Jacob at the trading post was nice to see. I’m not into male wg (well, at least if there’s not twinks or femboys) so I can’t really comment much besides how nice it is to see them be a cute coupl e still.
Ed & Al:
Thomas: He’s still being a hermit. I thought it was nice to see him interact with Fresha and Dana briefly. Gretel using him to make a point was well written.
Bel: She’s rounding out quite well, I can’t imagine what her end game will be. That elf doesn’t seem like much of a feeder to me, but she clearly doesn’t mind either. It was charming to see her get the stairs out for Gretel in the wagon sequence. I wonder if she’ll have need of them sometime soon… or if she’ll even be able to fit in it by the end of ev erything.
Pam: Just nice to see her and her hubbie making the most of it. 9/10 would like to see her belly poke out from her dress again. I don’t like to meta game but it’s interesting that her current sprite is named as “Pam Halfway”. Does this mean we’re about half way through the story or just halfway to her la rgest size?
Violet: I find it very interesting that Gretel is going against the grain with her previous punishment, I doubt Sebastian would approve. Interested to see how this goes, but Violet herself has felt like a non-entity for a while now. She’s been very irrelevant for a long time, but I trust that she’ll develop physically and story wise now.
The false Apostle story line: Very interesting developments with this update, the trail grows hotter as there’s a lot of mental magic this time around. I will say the gore in these sections didn’t bother me as much as some past instances have. Two head explosions, two giant ass crushing/smothering. Still horrific, but cartoony enough for me to find them more comical than disturbing. I still find myself wondering what the hell is happening but in a good way. That’s how this plot string tends to be, five questions answered, five more made. Asma’s section was very interesting, seeing how one falls victim to the false parodies and how the saviors treat them. I did feel quite bad for her but her sequence was quite fun, especially the glimpses we got to see of her fellow prisoners (love the arm one, love humiliating big st rong gals).
Final thoughts:
Honestly my favorite update this game has ever gotten, wonderful in a myriad of ways. At risk of sounding a bit mushy, I would like to thank you WaxeRed. I know I can be a bit too bunt at times but I sincerely love this game and the world you’ve made for it. I’ve awaited each update eagerly and with excitement. You’ve been a major inspiration to me and I prob wouldn’t have gotten into writing as much as I have without seeing this amazing project of yours.

I can’t make dang spoiler tags work, so putting my longer reply here! Spoilers for anyone who hasn’t finished the update!

Yay! Gretel was probably at her happiest and most strong this update, despite all that was happening. And role reversal of her and Sebastian’s previous dynamic was exactly what I was going for here!
Though she does actually go up in weight stage, starting with her time at the doughnut shop, she’s gotten quite a bit bigger! It may be hard to tell with the higher weight stages, but it’s definitely there!
Sebastian: Yeah, that’s just about the main vibe I wanted to go for with him on this update! Though he really is doing better, the talk with Gretel helped him out a lot, and he was able to freely enjoy time with Heather and Lily in the witch section. At least for the time being he’s trying to keep a more positive outlook, though there are still the ongoing issues such as the saviours, the parody apostles, and of course the memory stuff. But that’ll come next time.
Lily: Another spot on classification!
Though don’t feel too bad for Lily setting up her Mistress and Heifer up was what she wanted! I can’t recall if she’s said it in game before, but because Lily knows they will leave town at the end of the year, she tries not to set up serious relationships for herself, and instead tries to play match maker, so the people she leaves will still be happy.
She’s not upset they are together, she’s just upset she can’t tease them…yet!
won’t give anything away though on her alleged weight gain or her reasons for it! Though it may lead to a story direction some might might approve!
Dana: You should take some credit! I’m glad to get approval of Dana’s #1 fan!
Oh and thank goodness you enjoyed the Dana blueberry scene! I did feel like I was writing a bit in the dark on that one, so it’s of great relief to know it was enjoyed! I actually had a bit more written to the scene but ended up trimming it down cause I wasn’t liking how it turned out. I’m still pretty wiped from the main part of the update, but I may circle back and try to extend the scene one day! One thing that hung me up a bit would be if Dana actually knows and remembers getting so big and blue, or if she is forgetting/thinking she is hallucinating.
Oh and another drink session with Gretel will surely be in the future!
I’m also VERY happy to hear Dana’s character came across well this update, she has been rather a grouch for a lot of the game, so I wanted her to feel more human, and this be a story (for both Dana and Fresha) of them having great lives, losing it all, and finding purpose once more.
I’m also glad you noted on the fun dynamic between Dana and Fresha! They had similar tragic losses, but also quite different upbringings, being the town’s poor and rich family respectively.
And while I won’t give away too much (cause I don’t have too much set in stone) but Dana will keep up her blueberry habits, and grow them, while also finding a healthy life balance to go along with it!
Fresha: An essential member of the MILF squad. Now we just need Dana, Fresha, and Pamela to all be together with Gretel and the MILF squad will be at FULL POWER. (Even if Gretel is only a milf in spirit) She is another character, like Thomas, who I always planned to be more a late bloomer, so this update was to help her and Dana better integrate into the friendly town dynamic. Expect to see both of them in future feasts and town celebrations!
Dina: Haha, that’s very fair! I know she won’t be everyone’s cup of tea! I do think she adds a bit to the flavor of town…albeit a very sour flavor!
As for the weight, that actually was a bug in the weigh in room, where if you clicked on her from a certain angle you’d see her previous weight. In the current update she’s at 600+ pounds.
Probably one of my top 5 favorite of CJ’s sprites this update! Though its stiff competition, my number 1 might be the rolling and crying Lily.
Sam: Even in his sleep, Sebastian manages to make assess fat! The chocolate addiction was more coincidental, but I’m all for the connection! Though it was also to show her tastes were changing, as you can’t exactly go out and hunt for chocolate.
Steph’s end fast feast was actually my original planned end point for the update, but as is common I got more and more and more ideas to the point where the update got a bit too big for it! But barring any other changes, next update should start with the Heather Sebas date, then go back to town for Steph’s feast!
Haha, yeah I can totally see how you got the Wonka impression! Sorry for the subverted expectations there! And now I can totally see a Wonka rewrite where the 4 adventurers are the unfortunate victims! Lily most certainly has several fanfics worked out for it, I’m sure.
Thanks! This element was intentional. While I do love a good mindfuck plot twist, I feel that trying to end EVERY update on that kind of thing might get old fast, and feel like I’m trying to force it. The characters can have some nice relaxing fun to end an update!

For Pam’s sprite name, should probably ignore it, as you can really see my scattered brain (and by the updates end, melting brain) with a lot of sprites, switches, and such.
That said, in terms of story we are probably halfway, if not more. I really want to hit summer with the next update, even if it will be a LOT to pack in!

And I want to thank another user (cggo) who came up with the idea for the collector, someone who is obsessed with making certain body types, and with the general story of Asma’s corruption. I can’t always add every idea from fans, but it’s always a joy when I can, since it is something I never would have thought of myself, and adds even more unique flavor to the game!

When talking to the pink haired elf at White Well, her portrait changed back and forth to a completely different character. I still have to get my thoughts together for a big review, but expect it relatively soon.
