There’s just something so perfect about this it’s hard to describe. Enjoyed every minute of getting to help Mina with her potions, and would love to see more updates because it’s just such a perfect feeling experience~

The art and gameplay are really well done, but i think the instructions needed to be a smidge clearer especially since you dont really get feedback from the customers directly

agreed!!! i think that would help a lot

this game looks really nice and making potions is satisfying but I found that when I figured out how to actually play the game I spent most of my time waiting.

since there are only 3 different potions there isn’t that much experimentation that needs to be done and once you know what potion does what you are mostly just waiting for customers to show up. I think a lot of the waiting could be cut since (I assume) most of the waiting is because you need time to cure yourself from the potions, but the animations are pretty short so if the meter drained twice as fast you could cut the waiting needed by half without loosing to much of the lewds.

other than that I can’t think of much criticism that would fit within the time constraint of the jam. like it would be nice if there were more experimentation needed to beat the game, like a system where a potion can be more or less effective, but that might not have been possible within the time constraint

What I did is that at higher reputation, customers come faster and stay for a shorter time. But I guess I can go for even shorter cooldown when player is close to the maximum

Also game will receive a first polish update soon (hopefully today).

we are also planning to add a button to choose when you start receiving clients on the first day, this way a new player can experiment before having to fear any timer.

This game is great and has alot of potential for further development. Would love to see further ingredients and side effects added in the future and maybe more customers.

The game just received an UPDATE !!! v0.16.1 ! I’d love to have feedback on this one to possibly further improve balancing, QoL, etc. I really hope this will address most negative feedback. The changements made to improve the game are listed below :

:arrow_forward: Quality of Life :

  • Improved key item visibility.
  • Improved customer timer visibility (the hourglass icon).
  • Improved “selling button” visibility.
  • More readable text font for dialogue boxes.
  • Replaced stamina Potion by Speed potion for more readability and reduce confusion with the force potion.
  • Slightly decreased time to switch room.
  • Loading times should be slightly shorters.

:arrow_forward: Balancing and pacing :

  • Added a prompt on the first day to let the player choose whether he is ready to receive clients or not. This way new players can learn and experiment before having to deal with any timer.

  • Reduced the time needed to “cure” a transformation.

  • Customers have lower cooldown on very high reputation.

  • Taxes now start low and increase after each day to make the first days easier.

  • Days are now shorter for better game pace.

  • Reduced starting money to make up for higher potion prices and lower taxes.

:arrow_forward: Bug fixing :

  • Fixed a bug where Cauldron ambient SFX wouldn’t stop playing at the end of a day.
  • Fixed a bug where the cursor would disappear at the end of the day if the magic hand was activated.

oouh this cat is so cute. I’d love a longer-form version; more potions and combos, and maybe even long term effects on our lovely alchemist >:3

Well this game in my top three gameplay is good as it took me a bit to get use to making potions artwork wonderful but it needs a better way to get feedback from customers as I had to guess a lot to find out which potion to give them.

I beat the game… how do I get the other ending?

The 2nd ending is the “bad ending”, so… You need to loose ^^

Delightful game, well done!
I do wish environmental puzzles like taking the key from the bedroom were interspersed a bit more, it makes the space feel more useful
I also wish the potion timing was a little more forgiving, overshooting the maximum heat can take a whole customer cycle to cool down and deliberately transforming to clear the cauldron doesn’t really save time either; it’s a little frustrating
It would be interesting if new potion types and/or ingredients were introduced over time, but it is of course a jam game so I can’t fault you for that, perhaps you even had planned to
All in all, a very solid game!

after the update I feel like the endgame is in a pretty good spot. I’m not so sure about the early- and midgame. letting the player experiment with a closed shop is nice, so you don’t have to lose reputation. but since time doesn’t move while closed there is no reason not to do all the experimentation with no stakes (basically letting the player solve the recipes for free). I can’t really think of a way to make the early/midgame have some interesting challenge tho without adding more complexity to the potion making process (the only thing I can think of would be having to pay for ingredients but that feels like it would be overly punishing for being bad rather than giving some reward to being good).
it will be interesting to see where you are gonna take this

Small trick : you can just add a 3rd ingredient to reset the cauldron

Thanks for your feedback !!
