Heeey folks!
After a couple of weeks of playing and deliberating, the first round of judging has come to a close! Our Gain Jam judges have performed the daunting task of whittling 46 entries down to a Final 12, from which the Top 3 Overall Winners will soon be declared!
Without further ado, let’s give a big hand to your Final 12!
Congratulations to this tricky twleve for making it through, with commiserations to the rest of the participants! There were some genuinely tough calls for this contest but alas we can only have so many finalists!
As promised, over the coming days I will be posting the judge’s feedback for each and every entry in the contest!
And for those who feel their hopes have been dashed, take heart! There is still a chance for glory to be had with the “Best of” prizes - Best Art , Writing and Sound Design - that will also be decided! There is finally the Community Choice Award that you, (yes, you , reading this now!) can decide the winner for by liking 
your favourite entries, with the most popular entry winning!
You still have a chance to be a prize winner yet!
And for those wondering how the finals judging will work, think of it akin to the Eurovision Song Contest Finals: each judge will rank the 12 games according to their overall game experience with respect to the theme, just like before. However, unlike the first round, points will now be awarded based on a game’s positioning in the ranking (from 1st to 12th => 12 points down to 1 point). Once all judges have ranked the finalists the final scores can be totalled up and the winners determined!
With commencement of the finals judging today this will take a bit more time so please bear with us, folks, and we’ll be celebrating the winners soon! In the meantime, please take the time to revisit the finalist entries along with the rest of the Jam for a refresher - and don’t forget to cast your Likes!
