Use your wits, curiosity, and the ANACHRONOMETER to uncover the truth one Loop at a time.
Currently, this demo features a sample of what an ACT in the full game would entail. Choose your actions wisely to positively affect the outcome of the current four guests, with bonus art as a reward! Can you appease everyone in a single Loop?
Features:
Take control of Loupe Garou, Detective extraordinaire!
Explore hand crafted isometric maps, in all their pixelish glory.
Converse with a colorful cast of deceptive Guests and figure out how to appease each one!
Certain interactions will advance time. You have four turns to appease everyone. Choose wisely.
If you run out of time, you can always Loop and try again. No pressure gaming!
Oh, thatās strange! We are using the latest version of Godot to run the game. I do not know if there are compatibility issues with Russian languages or typesets. Weāll look into it.
Hmm, I donāt think so to be honest. I played other godot projects from Gain Jam like Dryn Aero Line and they work fine. Maybe something wrong with my system or maybe thereās some game resolution issues?
Your team keeps its track of making some great content. The theme is very fun. I reached a moment where i was like, how to solve this in only 4 turns if i need to do specific things but in the end, i was able to get the perfect ending. Do hope you keep working on this and i beg you to have a way to put some meat on Mr. Garou bones, even in some failed loop, he clearly is too skinny :3
Amazing Game!!! i love the character designs and every single one of the rooms looks so carefully put together!! but theres one thing, i cant for the life of me figure out how to appease everyoneš Can somebody help me in how im supposed to do stuff? would be greatly appreciated!
-Talk to Garou and then say youll get someone else to help with the food
-Get gator to
-go back to kitchen and get food from garou and key from gator
-give key to foxy
-tea to bird
-desserts to cat girl
Iām so glad I went and took a peak at this, I got all the motions down, knew what I was missing but couldnāt figure out how to accomplish it.
I knew I had to get the gator off his fat butt somehow so I can get the pantry key without wasting time, but I never thought of putting him in the kitchen since thatās what I kept making petite do. It got me the food without wasting time so I assumed that was the correct action.
This game is very good, had fun figuring everything out, even though I couldnāt get it perfectly without outside help. : P
(Edit) ALSO I forgot to say this, but I immediately noticed that this was a Clue Parody the moment I got into the game, that was a really fun movie, and the writing and characters in this game is just as enjoyable
As someone whoās played āThe Sexy Brutaleā Iām super happy to see another mystery/time loop style of game and the addition that thereās going to be WG content in it makes it even better
While the demo is short, in the end I probably only took like 30 minutes max to get the best ending, Iām definitely eager to see just where this goes if thereās future updates
Aw, man, it ended just as things were getting good! Iām really loving whatās here, though. Iāve consistently liked the art in your past Gain Jam entries, and this one is no exception. The gameplay in the demo is fairly simple, but I can see it turning into something really fun and satisfying if expanded upon. And I would be quite interested in seeing the characters fleshed out in the future (both literally and figuratively, hehe).
One minor oddity I noticed was that itās possible to obtain two copies of the pantry key if you search for it yourself before sending the gator to the kitchen. I get the feeling that thatās not intended, although it does have the side effect of helping the player realize that thereās more than one way of getting that item. (Otherwise, I could see the player always searching for the key themselves and never thinking that the gator might have anything to do with it.)
Please tell me that you have plans to expand on this! I remember also liking your Gain Jam entry from last year, Dinerbolical, and being mildly disappointed that that game never saw any updates. Iām certainly not complaining about you dropping bite-sized gems once a year, but I would love to see what you could do with a āfull-fatā game, so to speak.
Just wanted to hop in and say thanks for all the kind words! Weāre glad people enjoy what we have at the moment, we really want to continue this project post-jam (for realsies this time).
Weāre still not sure whatās causing your issues but weāll look into the canvas layer while cleaning up the game, hopefully thatās all thatās needed.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the experience. We want part of the fun to be experiencing different things even if itās not quite the ārightā thing to do. Much as Clue has different takes on the same situation.
We HEARD of this game but never actually played it, but itās good to know weāre on the right track in terms of a concept!
We had a lot more planned, so a lot of the structure is already outlined, itās just a matter of implementation, so thatās what weāll be working on at the moment. Weād also like to use the dialogue systems developed for this game implemented into other projects, such as Dinerbolical.
I wanted to say, loved the game!
The art style is very neat and all the sprites look fantastic, Iām in love with Renard, hope to see more of him (in every sense of the word).
Just wanted to notify 2 oddities I found.
In the True End, thereās actually 2 Renard, the whale one in the dinner, and the one from a regular ending where you gave him the key, in the billard room
And if you keep passing time, the time of the day will go beyond 24 hours and continue on (like you can get to 26h30 for example)
just did this last night. follow the spoiler-ed post outlining true ending requirements but give reynard the key as the last action before the 10:00 transition.
