I am Webber, one of the members of the dev team for Casualties:XL! It’s a weight gain mod for Casualties: Unknown, involving new items, new sprites (6 weight stages over thin!), clothes that mactch weight, custom characters, stuckage, immobility, new character and trader dialogue based on weight, and new moodles such as gluttony. It’s still in active development, and we are planning for so much more already. Hope you enjoy this relatively early version of the mod!
Credits: WillowWisp (Yes that one, who made Rotund World! That’s why the stuckage is so good! Among so many other things, just made the mod 10x better in general. Things such as fat armor, hitbox and ragdoll fixes. Did a lot of polishing!) Mark Suckerbird (Added screenshake, the moodles, the locale system, scaling based on weight… so much stuff. So much of the nice parts of this are built by him.) Digi-Space Productions (Started the mod in the first place! Couldn’t have done it without their start, also has done a wonderful job in general, made most of the character sprites! Also implemented some new items recently :o ) tlemo (Currently working on minigame sprites for the bigger sizes) Rask (Currently working on a vore mod that will integrate with the fat mod) Webber (That’s me! Don’t want to toot my own horn but don’t want to seem like I do nothing. I created the custom items system, I made the UI, I made the minigame sprites and their changes, I made the clothes system, and a few other things.)
Download involves BepInEx installation, you put all the files of XLv1.x.y.zip in the plugins folder. If you need help installing it, come join the Discord!
Some kinda game where you descend in a cave and try not to die. It’s quite a good game, though modding without permission from the creator (because they don’t want anything unchecked i’d presume) does make the reasons to make this mod questionable.
This is amazing! I’ve been getting into this game just recently and was lamenting that the weight gain systems weren’t especially… expansive. I’ll be watching this project with no small amount of interest!
I founded an weird bug with the experimental build, The organic drops like the fruit think and the foliage bugged out and doesnt spawn, even when you try to buy it on the shop you cant buy it like it doesnt appear an price and directly doesnt let you buy it.
Really love this mod! I did play a little with the experimental version, but that seemed to break plants and make them stop dropping items, so I wound up sticking with 1.0. After that and a few false starts figuring the game out, I managed to get up to ‘Barely Mobile’ before I opened up a wall in the desert that turned out to be full of water and blasted me back into a barbed wire fence which lead into a pain / drowning / death spiral. Fun times.
Gradually increasing your gluttony was definitely my favorite touch of the mod. Starting to complain about being hungry even when stuffed full was real nice. With immobility included I’m excited to keep trying to pursue that, though I’m curious if it’s really feasible to reach that size, let alone meaningfully continue playing once you do reach it, considering how the game works.
Thank you so much for trying the mod! So glad you enjoyed it, despite the toughness of the base game, it is incredibly brutal lmao
Also yes, immobility is basically a death sentence at the moment without commands, but soon in the future we’re planning on modding in mobility aids and things like compression suits to make it viable in the future. Also it isn’t that hard to reach normally, but you do need to gather quite a bit of food. Either way, thank you for the kind words on everything!!
HOLY MOLY. This is a REALLY good mod. Could tell it would be a heavy hitter when the creator of rotund world was on it but WOW, love it. The flavor text is SO juicy.
Was wondering if there are future plans to add in like passive belching, or the character begging for food, things like that? And/or making it more common…? We could just not have a ton of experience but it seemed like you only belched on eat.
Either way, so good. So fun, on an already really fun and niche demo for a game in progress UGH it’s SO good. Love you all.
