We love short kings and tall tomboys. Cats and fish are appreciated too.
Just got done with the Eating Contest, and Iām definitely getting major character vibes from Lenora and her companion Lydia, that scene was a glorious preview of just how much of a gluttonous pig she truly is behind closed doors. And it all happened off-screen, leaving you to your imagination on just how ravenously and āunlady-likeā she pigged out in that short amount of time behind the scenes. And her belly was even BIGGER then Minaās (meaning she would of WON if she had participated!), and then comments how THAT didnāt even come close to her āusualā everyday meals, too, HOLY MOLY!! Looks like Mina has found a true rival to match her own gluttony and love of food, if not straight up surpassing it!
Small bug in forest map (with Sami in party) there is this visual bug with creates appearing in corner of forest.
Edit 1:
2 more bugs in single map;
- once opened doors Luci (I hope I remember cat girl name correctly) is not needed anymore making Sami optimal choice for grind.
- you can enter technically ārestrictedā part of map
About the previous bug I mentioned above involving Sophia, I just figured out how to scroll up and down on the quest menu (using the Q and W keys), and learned there is no actual gold reward, thatās my bad, sorry about that.
But the bug where you still have the sodas after giving them to Sophia is still a thing, the same thing also happens with Rosalia and the steaks too, you donāt lose them after giving them to her.
P.S: The quest reward descriptions for those two are freaking hilarious, btw! XD
HOOOOOO BUDDY, this was a hefty first update, but DAMN, itās good to see the SB crew back at it in full swing. Love the main cast, and the gameplay loop is definitely interesting. I think my only complaint is when Luci has to sneak by the guards during her side quest. The lag was REAL during that whole segmentā¦maybe its because there were so many moving parts to it, butā¦I mean, I got through it, but it was definitely a bit of an immersion breaker. Either way, fantastic update! I eagerly awaits seeing what the future updates have in store! ^ _ ^
Alsoā¦is Rosaliaās quest fully completable in this update? I gave her the two boar meat steaks, she said she wanted more, so I made two more during other questing and came back to give them to her, but she wouldnāt take them. Did I need to make 3 instead of 4 or am I missing something obvious?
You need to give her 4 more steaks after giving her the initial 2 (so 6 steaks for the full quest). She doesnāt really tell you how many more she wants, so it can understandably be a little confusing.
AH, no wonder, thank you! ^ _ ^
Wow by accident I discovered first thing really connecting worlds of SB with CfC - Monsieur Petit guy beaten by Pro in Pastry Cookoff, Sophia.and ofc Crazy Guy
Edit: Found possible bug - canāt equip Meow Meow Heart Beam
plus+
Another edit: Also Sophia quest doesnāt seem to be working I have 6 colas - I am giving them to her and she is just being obnoxious cute ![]()
Yet Another Edit: I also get flashing belly issue - when there is cutscene around 25 fullness of girls the moment I want to feed them more I still can but their bellies quickly flashes between states.
Sorry for so much edits: If you return to guild eating contest room you return to same room as after finishing it (I am not sure if it is planned or simply self switch not worked). Also you can stand on empty crates in that room:
Another small (not game breaking or anything) bug - near alchemist you can walk on some probably planned as impassable objects.
Also with bit more training Petar could have become ultimate fusion of Chuck and Pro - he already learned how to pass through object - sadly limit is 1 (my funny take on minor bug).
Oh my Esse this is amazing. I had been thinking for a long while that itās a massively missed opportunity in the weight game development space that nobody uses fullness for strategy. Like a mana bar but for eating things that cause effects. And here it is!
Game breaking bug: After the first eating contest at Greasy Gregās, the game freezes completely once Greg and Petarās last dialogue plays. No error message, no keys work for movement, menus, etc., and the game has to be force-quit externally. Pretty amazing that no one else has mentioned this since it hard locks the game during a mandatory event.
Thats interesting, if you retried it, does it work? I have not heard of anyone else having this issue.
Are you holding down enter or z to make the dialogue go by faster? Speeding up the cutscene can cause some internal errors causing the game to freeze. This exact bug has happened to me to, if you let it play out like normal it will work for you.
Okay, so Iāve finally reached the update point of CfC and experienced all the current content. So, I have a suspicion/theory that had popped into my mind, and has only gotten more and more plausible the more I played and thought about it:
WARNING!!: This theory will discuss spoilers from Cause for Concern, as well as MAJOR SPOILERS from Some Bullshit, if you HAVE NOT played and completed Some Bullshit, DO NOT read this theory (Seriously though, go play Some Bullshit, itās absolutely peak!):
Summary
Okay, so AT FIRST I thought Mina might have something to do with Esse (a descendant perhaps, or maybe a past host), seeing just how much she can pack away inside her gut and, most notably, digesting it all with little to no weight gain, which was a signature trait from Esseās influence on Emmie.
HOWEVER that line of thinking was pretty much thrown out the window with the introduction of Luci into the party where she seems to demonstrate the same type of feats that Mina was able to, to a lesser extent then Mina (Iāll elaborate on that later), but still well beyond what a normal person, and especially a nimble thief with no prior gluttonous binging experience would normally be capable of. And once again, Luci seems to demonstrate the same peculiar trait as Mina, where she gains practically no weight from her hefty meals.
Now what REALLY got me thinking was when Sami was introduced to the group. After she swallows and digests the pirate captain and having a celebration feast on top of that on the beach, after that point both Sami and some of the party members in various camp conversations mention that Samiās tail looks noticeably chonkier then when they first met, which breaks the trend of the other two girls not gaining any weight from eating. And so finally, here is where the crux of my theory begins, I believe that the key difference for why Samiās (adorably chonky) tail actually gained more pudge is because, a āvery large portionā of her meal wasnāt Petarās cooking (specifically the pirate captain).
My theory is that there is a hidden secret to Petar that not even heās aware of. Like Emmie was, I believe Petar may also be a host to a gluttony demon that is similar but slightly different in nature to Esse, except instead of amplifying the hostās hunger, metabolism, and swallowing ability like Esse did for Emmie; I believe this new demon instead inherently amplifies the hostās natural culinary abilities, and also enchants any food prepared by the host to be FAR more appetizing then normal (almost bewitchingly so), and also digests far more quickly then humanly possible, and without any weight gain from said food. The enchanted food Petar prepares may also have some gradual permanent long-term effects on the dinerās anatomy in a way similar to Esseās abilities, where over time, the more enchanted food the diner consumes, the stronger their natural gluttonous urges, stomach capacity, metabolism and attraction to food in general becomes, which would partially explain why Mina is so obsessed with food and can devour and digest so much of it in a single sitting and not gain weight, even from regular food thatās not prepared by Petar, sheās Petarās childhood friend and Number 1 food critic, so sheās been eating Petarās cooking (and exposed to itās effects) for pretty much her whole life, so her general eating abilities, metabolism and gluttony have probably been permanently affected and enhanced by far the most out of the group.
However the foodās effects does not seem to affect the host themself (Petar). And also, I donāt know if this is related to the demon or not, but perhaps Petarās hemophilia disorder (blood unable to clot easily) COULD be a side-effect of being the demonās host, but thatās really unable to be confirmed, since it IS a rare but naturally occurring human disorder.
Another subtle but potentially significant clue that also supports my theory is that during the mansion sidequest with Petar and Luci, at one point Petar seems to unconsciously be making a ton of tasty dishes in rapid succession in the mansionās kitchen but is snapped out of it by a bell ringing, when he looks back at the food he made, he acts like he wasnāt even aware of what he was even doing that whole time, and he kinda brushes it off and just assumes he got too excited from being in a fancy fully-equipped kitchen and made all of this food in front of him, this could be a subtle sign of the demonās possession gradually becoming stronger.
So yeah, that is my theory.
TL;DR: I believe Petar may be the host to a gluttony demon that is similar in nature to Esse that amplifies his natural culinary abilities, as well as enchanting his food to be extremely delicious and enticing, and gradually over time permanently enhances the natural gluttony, metabolism and stomach capacity of whoever eats it (except Petar himself, being the host).
Great game, I loved playing it this week. Everything is so high quality and polished.
I made a thing Iāll post itā¦
Fan art

Ooooooo, thatās really good!!
This gameās characters are so good, I love them all!
U have to go to the Forest and just start to kill the bandits until u reach a zone where u can take the option to swim with Sami to reach an island (itās random, so keep trying until u have it). There u can see the scene.
Well this was a fantastic surprise!
Iāve blitzed through everything, as far as I can tell, in one 5-hour session and so far Iām loving it just as much as SB!
The character designs for the 3 girls are fantastic (especially best girl Luci) and I love the dynamic of increasing their capacity over time. I know WG doesnāt particularly interest you but this still really does things for me.
Iām not into vore but I didnāt have any problem going through the vore scenes, they were still funny
I do have a few bugs to report, with the most significant one being that the started lagging to the extreme during Luciās stealth section in the manor library. Everything from the character movement to the text in the textboxes (which became unskippable) was chugging so slowly, and I have quite a good PC
I also had a glitch where I couldnāt assign Luciās second skill to a shortcut, so I could only use it by going into the skill menu
I would also sometimes find that I couldnāt swap characters in the combat sections so I was stuck playing as Mina.
Finally, upon completing Sophiaās berry soda quest I found that I still had the 6 berry sodas in my inventory
Two more retries solved it. On the successful attempt, Petar and Greg started moving during the dialogue and exited the screen completely before Minaās dialogue started. That never happened before, even when I let the dialogue and cutscene movements run their course on previous attempts. Then, when they came back out, they ran the full movement cycle during their dialogue and ended up back at the contest table in front of Mina instead of stopping over by the counter with the soup pot in the bottom right of the screen like all previous attempts.
The forced movement of Petar to exit the scene is a bit of a weird design choice, and it seems to be whatās causing the game to bug there.
Alright just played this new game and did everything I could do (hopefully) over this last week. Was a really fun time. In total took me around (~6 hours):
This game was a real treat to from start to finish. Itās so interesting seeing a new take on an RPG formula from the same team as Some Bullshit. Now onto the review:
-
New Setting: Learning that this is the same world as Some Bullshit but on the eastern Continent was such a treat from a lore and world building perspective. Iām very curious to see how certain things build out. Like the Magos essentially being mana hoarding stuffed up elves, or the dwarves. Or the involvement of other factions like faries or goblins.
-
New Characters: Holy cow thereās so many new characters and so much I want to talk about, but for the most part Iāll keep it brief with the main cast and a general ātheyāre goodā. Also having the semi-full portraits during certain dialogues was very neat to see.
2.1 Petar:
Making Petar a chef who loves to cook good food, but has the unfortunate bodily function of not being able to stop bleeding if he gets injured is a very interesting way of setting up the balance between the āsupportā of the group and the āfightersā. Petarās antics in getting really hyper focused on making the best food possible and also making sure that everyone enjoys his cooking have been a treat (for a lack of better words). I love how Petar looks like those shop employees with the half closed eyes at all times.
2.2 Mina:
Minaās such a goofy tomboy I love her. Iāve been playing through the Trails series and she really reminds me of Estelle. Love seeing her have an active crush on Petar too, their dynamic is really cute to see. Petar the chef and Mina the punisher of evil doers with an appetite to match. It was hilarious when she punched that bandit king into the house.
2.3 Luci:
Look at this new cat around town! :3c I was really surprised by Luciās design and was excited to see her character⦠and then slowly realized she was the third person in the group. Which I was very excited to see. Her antics of trying to be the cool thief yet clashing with her recent gluttonous antics thanks to Petarās cooking has been very fun to watch. That whole sneaking in the mansion and the cat maid part was great!
2.4 Sami:
As my profile picture is a dolphin, I do need to take mention that sharks do scare me a bit⦠but since Sami is a siren that should be fine⦠cause sheās absolutely adorable when it comes to food. I love how instantly Mina and Sami bonded over food, meanwhile Luci was scared for her life. Curious to see where this team dynamic is going to go.
2.5 Jane Doe the āregularā human:
Yāknow I was wondering if goblins- er āregular humansā would be in this game or not. Itās no secret what my favorite part of some bullshit was after all. And Iām glad to see Jane Doe make an appearance. Her paper bag changing expressions is so good. I legit thought she had her hand on face⦠until I realized her disguise was starting to work on me.
2.6 Gigi:
Gigi seems to be a very interesting shop keep/shady fox dealer. I will admit I thought she was going to be the ābrewmasterā of this game. But seems that potion of totally not fertility will have her go down a different path. Itās not for me, but Iām curious to see where it ends up. -
Gameplay: The new use of Action in the rpg sections is a really interesting way of changing up the formula from just the turn based combat. But also using this as a chance to gather ingredients so that Petar can cook up meals that then increase stats? Iām gonna admit I had a similar thought to a project but this was done much better than I would have done. The system isnāt perfect (which Iāll talk about), but itās honestly very fun going to areas collecting ingredients and then cooking new meals. So far the game only has three areas, but Iām curious how this gameplay will shape up when thereās more areas.
-
Critique: I do have some critiques on this new system. I think overall this is a great design, there just a few things that make it a little annoying at times.
4.1 There doesnāt seem to be an easy way to see stats in the feed menu. Itās hard remembering what fullness an item is about to give or what stats its about to affect. I ended up having to right down everything IRL to remember what food filled up how much and what exact stats it affected. Might be designed this way, but it also might benefit from writing the stats in the description of each food item.
4.2 This is more of a personal problem, but typically I turn the sprint on when playing rpgmaker games, and doing this made the combat sections feel very floaty and hard to control so I ended up having to turn off the sprint. Not really something to be fixed but thought I would mention.
4.3 Though speaking of movement, there was a moment after being attacked by a slime in the pirates area that all my movement crawled to a slump. I donāt know if it was an affect from the slimes but my movement became really slow. When I ended the journey my movement returned but was an odd bug.
4.4 After I got Sami from the Pirates it wasnāt really made clear to me that I had to leave the beach area and go back to the world map. Perhaps I missed a specific dialogue that mentioned that but I thought I just needed to keep going back to the Pirates area. The game had been guiding me along so far so it was a bit sudden to figure out I had to be the one to leave the map and go back to the capital.
- Conclusion: Overall this was a huge surprise and I had a blast playing through this. It gave me quite a few chuckles here and there while also getting me invested in this new setting. Excited to see more.
Apologies for the wall text and thanks for the fun times.
I dont think they expected me to reach 30+ capacity on any of the girls in this version
The numbers just get invicible lol
Not really a big issue as i did use a save editor to get more ingridients and always feed them as much as possible
