Im not sure if this is already kinda how the character model works or not, but i was wondering if they eventually get to a point where they will get fat enough to also start gaining some height in their growth to better round them out? I dont expect this suggestion to actually be implemented at all, but i am one who much prefers the much larger sizes to be more well rounded overall instead of having them feel as flat as a stack of pancakes. Other than this the game so far has turned out pretty good, aside from the bugs that keep cropping up from time to time. ^^’
Side Note: Speaking of bugs, i found that once you have one of your characters get big enough to go to the warehouse, the warehouse itself seems to be dark and unlit as opposed to how it was shown in the trailer video. Not sure if i am the only one that has this issue or not currently.
Yep, that one’s been reported a fair bit, haha. Will be fixed!
A big thanks to everyone who’s been playing the game so far!
This week I’m gonna work on ironing out all of these bugs. Thanks for all of your support :>
Also, if you don’t mind a quick plug, I do have a Patreon now, if anyone would like to help support development. There are perks like early access to art, and custom wardrobe assets of your choice for character creation (so you can make that waifu look as accurate as possible). And if we meet the 2nd goal, I’ll develop an Android version as well. No pressure if you can’t, but every bit helps
I’m not sure what you mean by not being able to change clothes, King Novum? And you have to wait for when your characters feel like talking.
Like after a certain size, the cloth kinda bugs out, i was wondering if i could change it from like a dress to like the underwear or a shirt to tank top
Since there’s not any bugs to report, that I’ve seen and others haven’t, I’m gonna level a couple pieces of general criticism.
The daily randomized store is super annoying, and the system in place for money should already balance the availability of food, since it’s based mostly on time played and the level to which your character makes money.
Expanding on that, the growth tree for the money upgrades seems kinda sad? The gains-per-tick go 1-6-11-21-26.
When stuff is costing in the 10k range, that takes way too long to level up for too little reward when your stomach capacity isn’t good and your digestion is slow as heck.
Edit: It would also be nice to see what the character’s maximum capacity is, somewhere. Unless I’m missing it.
This is just me spitballing here, but I think that each level-up should get more powerful the higher level you are. I would also like to see more numbers since I’m never entirely sure how effective each choice is.
Edit: To save me on double posting I’ll just say this here. There have been quite a few times where the food buying place have listed multiple copies of the same food item on it’s shelves, wasting perfectly good space where something else could have been instead, it’s kind of a bummer when it happens.
Most of the problems are already said by many people (Ex: Infinite food, Time Travel, Bloating end immediately, etc), but my only complaint is that leveling up and getting the upgraded effects is less impactful.
Explanation about my gameplay experience
Like I’m having problems upgrading the digestion speed and also balancing out by getting more happiness currency (Money).
The stomach capacity are the least impactful, and I created a character that’s only picking Stomach Capacity at level 10. I think in theory, that would be 300 stomach capacity (200 is base capacity), and my confidence went down when I saw a food that requires 500 capacity
The only way I could at least get my footing is creating a character that chooses only digestion speed until Level 10, then upgrading money until Level 15. Since there isn’t a way to tell the stats for the upgraded mechanics (Ex: Money gain speed, Digestion speed, Stomach Capacity), I’ll have to take a guess at it.
Plus, at later levels, it’s even harder to level up, which requires more money and hopefully the 10 levels of digestion speed is still enough, but the main problem is that I didn’t upgrade the Stomach capacity. Even upgrading the stomach capacity would barely even change anything.
Anyways, aside from that, absolutely addicted to it! Keep up the good work!
Loving the newest version so far. I haven’t come across any bugs other than what others have already pointed out.
I love the ability to fine tune weight with the weight loss clinic. It was a great addition.
I also appreciate the general pace of the game in .03 compared to the older builds. I think the slow burn approach to the speed of weight gain was a good change.
The only changes I’d like to see in the immediate future are the ability to change clothes/appearance and possibly personality traits, and for stomach capacity to be a more attractive upgrade.
Capacity takes a bit too long for it’s benefits to be meaningful. I’ve had the best luck buying the first few happiness point upgrades and just dumping everything else in digestion.
Very good game. I’ll give a few of my basic thoughts then a list of more detailed ones after.
The game is very fun and watching the character expand from walking, to waddling, to being immobile is a long but fun gameplay loop. In early stages of the game I could set the game on a second monitor as I worked on my primary one, occasionally clicking back to feed my character up again as I got distracted out and farmed money and calories. This made me feel involved in my characters gain without needing to put in too much work. In addition, the character customization (from personalities to clothes) allowed me to make a character I really liked and wanted to see grow big. The little dialogue options that popped up were clever and helped make the character feel alive then just a slowly growing 3d model.
Of course there were a variety of bugs and features I wish were in, but these were understandable and didn’t stop me from enjoying the game as it’s still in an early stage of development. I’ll go into more thoughts in depth in a drop down list. Everyone likes talking about their experiences and thoughts, so I’ll shove mine there not to take up too much space
Overall a very good game with a lot in store for it. It’s a very promising Alpha and where it is right now, it could only improve more as time goes on. I look forward to following the project and seeing where it goes! Excellent work so far, Mr. Scribbles.
My Suggestions and Extra Thoughts
There should be a way to change a characters appearance, like a boutique, where you can spend Happiness points to change hair/and or clothes. I found I liked my character, but didn’t want to restart my progress just to change a top when I spent a lot of time making my character immobile
On the subject of clothes- It would be fun to watch the clothes rip and tear as characters grew instead of infinitely stretching. My stuck-up character into gaining mentioned her top feeling like a sports bra when it stretched to fit her entire body even into immobility.
The clipping is odd. I can zoom out pretty far and see a bunch of belly and butt fat clipping under the floor, or if my character has longer hair sometimes the back fat clips through it. There are also black voids that appear/disappear on my characters fat when zooming in and out. Those are both little visual things but were distracting sometimes.
Rooms feel a little underwhelming. Even if it’s adding in PNG images of a door, a fake window, a television on the wall or a carpet on the floor, building a little atmosphere can help the apartment to feel more like an apartment (except for the piss void, that one is funny lol).
Maybe a way to select a more detailed body type? The customization is good, but perhaps body types could help dictate growth. Like a pear shape makes all butt buff items slightly stronger, apple shape makes chest buffs slightly stronger, etc. This could help different characters have more unique weight gains and encourage multiple saves and citizens.
I know in the 0.2 version you could give your characters headpats and belly rubs, and I was kinda sad to see them go. Especially with all the jiggle physics I’d love to poke and mess around with the characters bodies as they grow. This would also give a little something to do during downtime. Perhaps belly rubs help digestion and headpats give a few extra happiness points.
Characters did grow taller as they grew fatter, but they still felt very smushed. Maybe a little more height, wider shoulders and a growing chest (not just the breast, but just a larger torso) could help those bigger shapes look a tad better. The face getting fatter was an excellent touch though
These were just some little thoughts I had. Figured I’d share- but excellent work with what you’ve done so far.
I finally managed to reach the warehouse, but unfortunately it is entirely dark. I reloaded the game and its still stuck like this, not sure if anyone else is having this issue.
I seem to have caused a belly void by feeding a digest rate spam character way too many cookies. She asked for more, I “went out to get more” I.E. reporting the evident black hole on my property.
It’s taken me three days of playing (around 70 in game) But I finally got my first fatty, who I based off of Lammy from um jammer Lammy, into the warehouse. And I do plan on having her fill the entire thing.
