I found the templates on the SRB discord - but I honestly can’t remember how I happened upon the channel. As it’s not my discord channel, I’m not sure if I can invite people or if they’d feel comfortable with me handing out that link - especially considering I’m a filthy lurker.

Is the bug where one of the characters gets frozen in the bar fixed in this version?

I’m not sure if anyone has encountered that bug before - if you’re curious, the write-up attached to the Changelog in the OP is free to view!

Alright. I was subscribed to your Patreon before and reported the bug on the last version I played v0.6.2.3. It was a game-breaking bug that pretty much soft-locked your game and prevented you from progressing. It happened with the middle child goblin after a cutscene at the bar in her room if I remember correctly.

Ah, okay! I remember that one! Yes, that’s absolutely been fixed. I rewrote that whole cutscene to avoid that specific problem. My bugtesters (all three of them!) and I have been able to get past that moment to the best of my knowledge.

Come across a bug on the most recent version that I couldn’t find on the sheet, after beating the boss in chapter 4 with Malary and Delilah


it gets stuck in the following cutscene like this when Lady Death is walking up to you.

That shouldn’t be too difficult of a fix - I’ll just switch followers off during that cutscene. Thanks for reporting this!

Hi, love the game! Just something I noticed, the 4 items from the merchant only give six digits, but the chest/cabin has an eight-digit input. Is there some way to find the other two?

that is one hundred percent just me having not changed the requirements to get into the dev room yet. I’ll have it set to the right numbers before we release - promise!

Winrar normally works, but if it doesn’t you can try 7zip

Just wanted to let you know that I fixed this one! I turned off followers during this specific scene, so this shouldn’t be an issue anymore

OKAY.

I’m pretty sure that this game is trying to kill me.

This update comes with a huge disclaimer that a lot of this is recovered from an older version. It allows you to get to the Epilogue, it allows you to fight Calahree, and it allows you to do some other things. The Tavern got a redesign and so did Town 2.

However, it’s still buggy and incomplete. Some scripts are missing, some dialogues are missing, so on and so forth.

Now, here’s the kicker - that wasn’t the first time I had to recover these things. RPGMaker MV decided out of the blue just after the exporting process of v0.9.0 (thank God) that the main file is corrupted, and now I’m having to bend over backwards just to be able to export it again.

I have all of the data still, and I’ve got someone working with me to try and figure out the problem. We’ve gotten it to the point where I can open up the program and access everything, but just playtesting (that’s bugtesting for me and playing for y’all) is an impossibility. Hopefully not for long. But keep in mind that patching this time may prove a little more tricky. Honestly, I was lucky that the whole game didn’t get thrown out with the bathwater.

I’m so sorry I keep coming to you guys like this and asking you for your understanding and thanking you for your patience. This project is very large and it’s really only just me working on it. This has been an incredibly demoralizing experience for me, and I’m going to drown myself in bourbon because today has been the worst day to be working on this game lol.

After CoC is finished, I’m never using RPGMaker MV again.

Update - After a few hours of work since pre-exporting I’ve managed to rescue the game from utter destruction. There are a few things I’ll have to go back and replace, but otherwise I’m back to the version that’s currently exported here.

So after i defeated Calahree theres supposed to be an epilogue right? Well after the fight and you talking theres a black screen and i cant access the epilogue

Hey, sorry about that! I updated the main post on the patreon with a micropatch and instructions on how to fix that.

Normally I’d wait until I was sure what we were working with until after the great purge of data, but that one was a simple and small fix. The map data from that file hadn’t become corrupted, so I was able to salvage that and revise the event script.
