to answer a few questions, while I don’t have male main characters planned atm, there are a couple males that you can expand in the current game
Secondly, I’m gonna try to have an alpha build at the tailend of August/Early September.
Just working on the cutscenes still

Just letting you all know that I’m not dead with this project, just that work has been killing me so hard (I work an essential job so that’s why), but, I’m aiming to get some massive progress done in the next few weeks.

Likewise, I’m unsure of if the intent for male stuff was in the interest of mixing things up a bit, or if it was to have some stuff for male-fans out there, but I’d say add (or don’t add) whatever you’d like to the game!
I’ve seen quite a few polls posted in this topic and I can only hope that they haven’t determined the course of development too deeply, I personally wouldn’t mind seeing some more “behind-the-scenes” stuff independent of what others may have wanted in the game. Either way, feel free to take your time indeed!
Nah, it hasn’t really determined anything really.
I already had a few male expansion things already in the game, but they were really niche.
It’s not too big of a deal here or there if I add a bit more to the game in some regard.

I mean, male in general - It can be a femboy or it can be a masculine character - Doesn’t matter to me.

oooh it could be like a choice at the beginning of the game, like there are these two starter companions and you choose who goes with you, that sounds fun

I feel like the easiest way to implement this would have a player choice at the beginning which asks the player flat out if they want any male weight gain scenes and if they answer yes, it triggers all those events to be obtainable or otherwise they’d be obstructed from view. That way people who aren’t into male fats don’t feel turned off by needing to experience them while still allowing yourself to appeal to that audience who is into it.
I feel like this is the simplest way to set this up while not alienating either gameplaying audience and limiting hassle on a dev end. Would just need all those male fat scenes require that male on switch trigger from the start. No alternate game version bullshit, etc.
Obviously if you planned for some main party members to be male, it’d be a little more complicated but the male could be more ambiguous in appearance so it’d be more tame and easier to work that male into being female should the male on switch not be triggered.

To be honest, I had already planned on a male party member, but he’d be for late game content - I have some semblance of a story crafted for this thing.
As to the idea you gave, while that would be an interesting one, I’ve already thought about how to go about this sort of thing, and while I may have some male-esque enemies in the game, I’m more or less going for a female based party, at least at this point in time.
