Next character is planned already i think, but that sounds cool.
BW usually holds a vote for his Patreon subs to decide what the next character is, actually. Thatās how heās done it for Bard and SB. He has a pool of ideas to vote on, but no set plans.
One of the Monk options is actually for a ādrunken masterā-type character!
Add Liqueur Bar for her, use éę³ need to be drunk.
Honestly, booze-based mechanics could be interesting if thatās what she ends up being. Like some sort of kiss-curse buff that amps one stat but nerfs another, since she has faith and will (presumably) be a support class.
Either that, or just make alcohol-based enemies for her to counter, kek.
The Monkās statline will be Sneak/Faith, so sheāll be for eliminating specialized creatures
Its the last weight levels for The Priestess, who continues to carry herself with her customary poise and calmness!
Whenever I start the game, all I can see is the portrait of the Thief and Warrior. Nothing else. I canāt do anything. It shows everything at first as the characters are adjusting to their current weight, then everything but the Thief and Warriorās portraits vanish. I even tried quick-clicking on the Go! button before they vanish, but that just leads to a completely black screen.
Can confirm SvenFoxxās post. After a few seconds into a fight, the entire HUD goes wonky and the bottom row of heroes vanishes.
Same problem here. For me, seems to be after about 30 seconds into a level or at the very end.
I am also getting the bug. Hereās a bug report for you.
Steps to reproduce:
i) with existing save data
- I selected the candy dragon level
- I selected the bard, witch, priest, and thief in that order.
- I selected the potion, wand, sword and book in that order.
- started the level and played through focusing on feeding the priestess.
Result
The thiefās portraits and several enemy portraits turned black or vanished.
This also occurred for all items, and several UI elements including timers and all text and numbers.
Additional Info
-When I encountered the bug it resolved itself after a few seconds and I was able to keep playing until the end of the level when the bug re-occurred.
-I assume the issue is related to the new priestess assets slowly loading or failing to load. But I would have to test more to be sure.
Been meaning to ask for a little while here: how exactly are the adventurers fighting the food monsters? Like, do they shoot magic bolts or punch them and somehow teleport the monstersā flesh into their stomachs, or do they run up and take a bite out of the fuckin things? The abstract UI is convenient and all, but Iām kinda curious as to whatās literally happening in-universe.
I think the reason why is because of what FA gamer said. It seems to only happen when the priest would get to the last weight stage, which could explain why SvenFoxx has the problem occur when starting the game
Edit: This seems to the case, since i did a level using Thief, Spellblade, bard, and witch and i didnāt encounter the problem
I can confirm that my Priestessā weight was already at the point of being in the final weight levels and in my current party.
Yeah, Iām having the same problem as everyone else. It starts off with everything, but then everything disappears save for the portrait of the Thief and Warrior.
Anyone that doesnāt mind wiping their save and starting over should try deleting their cookies.
This has solved all problems for me in the past when new patches have broken the ui or been buggy.
Iāve fixed the priestess bug everybody was having. It turns out the file transfer was interrupted, so the last 15 or so sprites of hers were missing. I have uploaded the missing sprites.
Thank you for your patience!
I think the original concept was they beat up the monsters like normal, then they have to eat them so they donāt respawn. If Iām being totally honest, I donāt think about it very much
The Priestess is definitely my favorite of the super fats so far.
Also, somewhat unrelated note, but the Patreon banner still has the Warriorās original design on it.
im gonna be honest, i liked the old warrior a lot more than the current one. So have you ever thought of making unlockable costumes for characters? That way you can incorporate any of the designs you had hoped to add and also add more replayability.
Of course thisād be one of those things youād have to be a reward for getting an S rank, since theres no real incentive to getting it other than the bonus weight. Theyād be perfect boss rewards.
