Honestly I just want a shortstack in the game. though if the people who voted for other ones voted for either Dwarf or Bomblin they could eek out Clockwork.
And we still have most of a week so time will tell.

(agrees heartily in Furry)
I certainly hope so- a common cause can change the tides of oceans!
(Or something like that IDK)
because they want the thin character to become fat. prefat is not as fun. i think thats what it is anyway.
Looking back at the other polls to see whoās design won⦠christo, Erilās designs have won nearly every time (aside from Illusionist)⦠that sets a bad precedent to be honest considering if designs from one person keep winning the polls, that could lead to⦠Unsavory behavior.
Thatās actually a very fair point- and Iām setting up a little survey to see if we can organize a movement to break up this pattern.
https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/W5F6SQT
And here it is! I will have to ask non-patrons to abstain from participating, sadly- Iām looking for data from whoās already voting.
Because your idea of all of us shortstack lovers dumping our hearts into one or the other for the āgreater goodā is a great one, but it has to be a movement we can all get behind. Considering the dwarf is the more popular of the two, I would happily sacrifice the bomblin if it means breaking the chain.
But of course, weāll just have to see how it really goes.
And I have to clarify right here and now that this is not meant to be an attack on Erill or anyone whoās voting for Clockwork in anyway- Iām not gonna fault them for having personal tastes.
I just reaaaaaaaally want a goblin or even a dwarf in the roster. For spice, at least!
And I feel that something magic can happen if we try and organize and mobilize.
I promise you, while heās happy his designs are winning, he actually feels a bit guilty about hogging all the spots. His words, not mine. We share designs.
Like the Hobgoblin, who Iām only posting because she was drawn after the class poll was put up so her silhouetteās missing. Yes, I like Goblinoids and there are more on the way.
I decided to look more closely at the votes, since I was curious if Clockwork was winning due to the poll being multivote and the Clockwork being everybodyās 2nd favorite or something like that.
So I decided to look through the voting data and see how many people only voted for one option despite the poll being multivote. The data works out like this:
# of unique votes | % of votes for that option that are only for that option
Bomblin 13 | 40%
Wrench 2 | 16%
Clockwork 28 | 57%
Dwarf 19 | 50%
Steam Cyborg 6 | 21%
Haunted Doll 6 | 30%
Furnace 6 | 31%
So it seems like thereās a big group of people, for whom Clockwork really is their #1 pick! I was wondering if limiting the poll to one vote per person would produce results more in line with what patrons want but I feel like this suggests the results would be the same.
Thank you very much! Itās good to know these kinds of things.
⦠I didnāt realize multi-voting was a thing/allowed. Huh. (That is to say, I need to go revise my vote and add in an alternate or two aside from just my top.)
Multi-voting changes everything- instead of pooling votes, I propose we short stack voters just all vote for both dwarf and Bomblin. And feel free to ignore the survey now- no need to actually shift votes, after all.
Hereās what the survey looks like so far- mostly just Bomblin. You can still take the survey, but from here on I strongly recommend just putting votes for both.
Iām going to be honest, since Furnace probably isnāt going to win my second and third choice are Steam Cyborg and Clockwork. I know youāve got a crusade going for the short characters but normal humans are pretty good . Also they both start out thin so itāll be fun to see either of them gain.
I think at this point itās 50/50 people want short stack vs people want variety.
Iām the later mostly because I have no real preference here, I trust that the character is going look good no matter what one we get.
Clockwork is still in the lead, though Dwarf is catching up. Even though I would like Bomblin to win, fate seems not to want non-normal human designs to win.
I just want variety, all the current classes are human except for the illusionist.
Part of me wants dwarf to win to see how the exosuit is dealt with. Path of it getting overloaded and breaking down or path of more and more ridiculous upgrades?
(But yes, more variety would indeed be good.)
While I am frustrated that neither the bomblin nor dwarf are going to win at this stage, Iām honeslty more worried about the precedent this third victory for a single type of character will set- mostly toxic behavior as more people become bitter that one guy with āblandā designs is constantly winning over the majority, even though itās not that personās fault.
Hopefully we donāt get to the point where itās the people that want more designs versus the people that only want humans. Itās no ones fault where their preferences lie and hopefully people will understand that. I do see how it can harm the patron bottom line given that some people sub only to vote and a group may decide that because they arenāt going to win they arenāt going to sub anymore. Again, hopefully the people supporting the game have more reasons to keep supporting it but at the end of the day the game is really good so I hope people donāt get caught up to much.
