Eat The Dungeon General Discussion

Also, I would say that the ‘con’ of speed having a cap is also kinda a pro, since it means that you never have to put any more than that specific amount of points into that stat on any character. If anything, it’s more of a neutral fact: you can’t get any better than this, but it also never costs more than this.

That’s a good point, since that means it’s in a way a pro and a con

Fixed it using the parenthesis thing you mentioned. Thanks for the tip!

I made a concept for achievements. Even if this ends up not being feasible, it was fun to imagine. Let me know what you think!

Well perhaps not necessarily the final product, this is definitely great for a possible rough draft

This is really well done, though I’m a little hesitant to add more features when there’s already a lot left to do

That’s fair. Don’t worry, you can go at your own pace because at the end of the day, this is still an amazing game that’s only going to get better as development continues.

I know I’m a backstead dev sometimes, but Damn. xD I think some of these ideas would be best taken into a new game, rather than added to this one :3

For reference, this is the Bunny he’s talking about. Backstory reason she’s getting fat; Natural shock absorbers so she can kick at full strength without breaking her legs.

Makes me imagine a metroidvania, where attacking damages you in a way that can only be healed by a medicine that adds permanent weight, like, it feels like fat, looks like fat, but is regular meat.

Imagine having to balance effective kick attacks that may cause you to eventually go too heavy with ineffective normal attacks that can burn regular calories.

You could eat up on actual food, to cushion your legs, but attacking drains some of that again, meaning you need to either prepare, or make sure you can afford to only attack with low weight as little as you need.

Maybe have somewhat of a timer per room to respawn the enemies, meaning if you are fast enough, you can go back to a camp uninterrupted, when you run out of fat, otherwise you may be forced to attack at low fat, requiring the fattening medicine.

the roster is almost complete, 2 spots will be remaining once The Ranger Fox Girl is added in.

Oh, no worries, it’s just there as an idea. Once all is said and done there’s always the possibility of coming back to it, but I wouldn’t want at all to feel like it’s something you have to fit in to your itinerary.

The characters have backstories?

In this instance, it’s just a proposed backstory but to answer your question; yes.

There are only a few on his Patreon, specifically those for the Thief, Witch and Spellblade, available in single-page, textless comics akin to the Darkest Dungeon backstories. Drawn if they’re successful for the monthly SFW picture and Bewildered’s feeling up to drawing that much.

Not sure about that. It’d be immensely unfair to the designs proposed for the other classes. After all, as it stands, there are nine future classes including those not yet available to vote on.

Barbarian
Alchemist
Monk
Druid
Raider
Necromancer
Psion
Dancer
Beastkin

Addendum; I forgot the Trickster.

hmm, well when next vote comes I think I will pick the Druid cause in Hearthstone The Druid is a master of gaining a lot of Mana.

The game will have 20 playable characters by the time it is done, so the roster is only half way through

Twenty??! That’s less an adventuring party and more an entire guild, thundering though the dungeon corridors like a herd of elephants!

20 playable characters, It’s like Smash Bros but full of Food monster eating Girls and there are 12 spots in the roster, we just need 8 to complete the roster!
