So is the mod currently broken? it doesn’t work for me right now.
Edit: It works now, but are there currently no outfits that work? is it just nude?

At this point, there is only the nude body. I’ve been working on making outfits that fit with the body sizes (they are converted vanilla outfits), but that is not in the current version. They will be present in some capacity in the next update, but whether or not it will function with the weight gain system by then I do not know (depends how hard it will be to implement).
Good news everyone, I figured out a system for the outfits. The hitch though is that it is dependent on both adding/changing scripts to every armor that is used in the game (armors without vanilla scripts can have a generic script added to them), as well as needing to make the armors be manually refitted by the player. The reason for the manual refitting is due to scripting limitations (at least for someone of my knowledge). Making any of the armors refit themselves would practically remove armor degradation from the game (basically without getting too technical, it would always reset your armor’s health to 80% every time it changes).
EDIT: Refined it a bit, now vanilla armors will NOT have to be touched at all.
So here’s what I’m thinking in regards to the outfit refitting. To cut down on cluttering the workbench menu, I’m putting in a couple conditions for the armor’s recipes visibility to reduce the clutter.
First, you need to have the armor in your inventory (so for example, for the leather armor conversion recipes to appear you need to have the armor in your inventory).
The second condition will check your character’s weight. This is done so that only the conversions to the size above and/or below your current weight level will appear. So, for each armor type you have in your inventory, you will see at most 2 recipes.
I also will be adding conversion kit items (One kit for each size) into the game that are required for converting the outfit. The reason for this is that when you convert armors at the bench, the condition will be set to 80% (much like the auto refit). So these kits will be used so you can’t exploit this even inadvertently. There will be a couple ways to get these.
First way is to craft them, what they will require to make hasn’t been thought out yet but a repair skill of 50+ will be needed to make all of them (the lower weight level kits will require lower repair).
The other way will be to simply buy them from merchants or a designated tailor character I’ll be adding somewhere (they will be pretty expensive to make up for the fact that your armor will be in very good condition when they are refitted). Once you get the kit, there is no repair skill requirement for actually refit the armor itself.
If getting the kits are out of the question for your character, you’ll have to find the armors that fit you either from a shop or from an NPC. Some NPC’s will have these armors put into their leveled lists, so it will be possible to find fatter NPCs (although most won’t be any bigger than fat).
Any suggestions for female NPC’s being a bit bigger would also be appreciated. I already have plans to make Trudy have the fat version of her outfit and Joanna is being used for a quest. Veronica and Cass are also off the table at the moment due to how easy it is to make them change armors.
I’m also trying out making a new area entirely (Well, it’s more like building up a previously empty one). I added a diner to the Poseidon gas station north of Novac.
There’s a guy there that is trying to start up a trading post and functioning diner there with his son and son’s girlfriend. I intend to have 3 primary endings for the location based on how one of the quests is handled. The quest line plays out like this;
First quest is to help the main guy fix up the diner.
Second quest is when his family arrives and you need to help the girlfriend fix up the gas station interior to get the shop up and running.
Third quest is with the son having a falling out with the father and you need to tell him what to do about it, this is where the quest line branches off into one of three directions. First to either try to make them make amends or just saying that you don’t want to get involved (this is the NCR friendly, but independent ending). Second is try to get him to join the Followers of the Apocalypse to resolve issue (Followers of the Apocalypse will set a little base at the trading post as a result). Finally you can try to convince him to join the Legion if you have a high enough speech (it’ll make more sense in the context of the plot, I’m trying to keep it vague. The Legion will take over the trade post if you pick this option).
After the third quest is resolved, you will get a fourth quest from one of the visitors/occupiers of the trade post depending on which ending of the third quest you get.
As you do the quests, the appearance of the trade post and diner will change to represent it’s development. Depending on which ending you picked, the camp will offer different services.
EDIT: Yes there will be weight gain involved, but I’d rather keep the specifics a secret for now.
Good lord, the effort I’m seeing is absurd. A+ work there, failmuseum. I might just have to re-download New Vegas again once this comes to fruition.
You and me both. If I ever re-finish Fallout 4. And then Skyrim VR
If you want any voice acting done for the mod I’d be glad to throw my hat in. I’m not experienced, but I’ve always wanted to break into the scene.
Edit: I’m male, forgot to specify. Realized that might be important.
Might be open to that, at least with characters that aren’t already in the vanilla game. The three characters I’ve got here are a middle aged man, a young man, and a young woman. They come from the NCR, so they would sound more like the civilians in the base game accent wise. I’ll also be having a second merchant for the normal questline path, a follower of the apocalypse character for the follower path, and a Legion Decanus for the Legion path (although if we do have voice acting at any point I would probably voice this character, since I feel that is the best type of character my voice matches with).
Well, I’ve been told I sound like a perpetual late teen/early twenty-something, so if that helps with casting, I’d be glad to help if I can.
Then you’d probably be a good fit for either the son or the follower’s doctor. I’ll give it some thought, thank you very much for offering
None of the dialogue is written yet, but I could send you a vague idea of what the questline is if you would want. It does get a little darker than most of what I’ve written so far, but only a little bit nothing too bad (and it’s more for story telling purposes rather than the fetish itself).
To give an example to the kind of quest design I’m capable of, here’s one section in the first part of the questline. So there’s this Nuka Cola vending machine in the diner and you are tasked with fixing and cleaning it. You have 4 different ways to fix it. The first is to get the parts it requires (2 fission batteries, 2 sensor modules, and 2 scrap electronics), second is to have 40 repair and 1 scrap electronics, third and fourth are hidden from the player as potential options if you don’t meet the requirements, so I’ll blur it for those that don’t want it spoiled. Third is have 8 luck and just whack the machine to make it work, and fourth is the same thing but instead of 8 luck you need 3 or less intelligence. Every option requires you to also have 1 turpentine to clean it. Once it 's fixed, the model is replaced with the pristine Nuka Cola machine model and for 2 prewar money, you can buy an ice cold Nuka Cola (once per day since that food item is too good to just allow players to buy a ton of them at once). But that’s not the only thing that can be done to the machine. If you have a science of 40 you can make the machine accept NCR money instead (2 $20 bills, this technically makes the Nuka Cola cheaper as well). It’s not necessary to complete the quest, but the diner owner will pay you extra for it. The diner owner will also convert bottle caps for NCR money if you ask for some (he wants to help make NCR money become a more accepted currency, part of his character).
I think I’m going to add a few variants to each of the diner area’s endings as well. I’ll blur what each will do for those don’t want to be spoiled on specifics.
Normal independent branch, make amends: The Father and Son’s dialogue will be brighter when you speak to them. For helping, everyday you can get the diner’s special menu item for free (it’s
a very fattening health item). New permanent merchant moves in.
Normal independent branch, don’t make amends: The Father and Son’s dialogue will be a bit more somber when you speak to them. No other changes are made, since this the default ending for the area if you can’t do anything else, but also don’t fail the quest. New permanent merchant moves in, same as the other ending
Follower Branch, Puritanical: The special menu item is no longer available for purchase due to how unhealthy it is. The store no longer sells chems, and it’s weapon selection is severely limited. Doctor is now available at the camp and will offer medical items once per day to you like Julie Farkas does if you do her quests.
Follower Branch, Greater Good: The special menu item is still available for purchase due to how much money it can make, but the price has increased. The store no longer sells chems, and it’s weapon selection is severely limited. Doctor is now available at the camp but instead of offering medical items, but instead offers liposuction services without you taking a Follower’s reputation hit.
Legion Branch, Trade Post: The special menu item is no longer available due to the dad being gone, but if you handle the next quest a certain way you can have the son make them. The store no longer sells chems or alcohol, but it’s weapon selection is improved.
Legion Branch, Raiding Outpost: The special menu item is no longer available due to the dad being gone. All of the family members are gone, leaving only the legion raiding party. The store is gone due to the girlfriend being missing. Every few days you have access to the cut of the loot so long as the raiding party leader is still alive.
I’m thoroughly impressed, this quest sounds like something that would fit quite naturally into the game, and even if it weren’t being made for a Weight Gain mod I’d honestly download it anyway. Good work man!
Thanks It’s not finished yet (except the vending machine, that has been finished), this is more the planning stage I’m writing out while I design the completed Diner.
Still it’s pretty great planning. Reading through it I can easily visualize the entire sequence . And that’s great that the vending machine is done, I really love the multiple paths to completion and how there’s even a bonus objective because those are always a lot of fun in my opinion
I’m curious about what I should do with the DLC requirements for the mod. At the moment, the mod only needs the base game, but i do intend to convert all of the armors for the dlcs as well. My question is how people want me to handle the DLC. So here’s an anonymous poll. I’m abstaining to keep it more honest.

I’m voting to have the mod require the DLCs, while I understand not everyone owns the DLC I feel as if the installation is already finicky enough without having more parts to install separately
Also seconding the vote for just requiring the DLCs, it’s less headache for development and I feel like the number of current Vegas players who don’t have the DLC is dwarfed by the number who do.
I’ve been experimenting with the following tool ( https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/70815 ) for creating new voice files for characters in Bethesda games. There’s only a few voices currently set up for new vegas, but as Doctor Usanagi is one of them, so I thought I’d have a go at creating audio for her lines in the demo.
It’s kind of time consuming to fine tune the tool to get a good result, but this is what I’ve managed to get out of it with the current version of her voice the software has.
(I did notice the her voice seems to have trouble currently with certain sounds, giving them a more buzzy electronic tinge or just odd sound. I’ve tried to eliminate or at least lesson its effect. The ones I noticed in particular are; i, v, words ending in r such as your, gh in the end of though)
fallout text to speach test.zip (744.6 KB)
I’m no audio technician but with more clean up, and once additional development and ai training has been done by the tools author. This might be of use at least for some of the shorter lines of dialogue in the mod
Thanks for bringing this to my attention, if more/the right New Vegas voice types get added this will be invaluable. Would mind if I use these audio files?
Although I might have to change the line of dialogue where you ask about the lipo surgery. Hearing it out loud made me realize that it sounds way too whiny and petulant (even if that kind of is the standard Follower of the Apocalypse operating procedure).
