just got around playing the original. is the link updated? or is there a newer link in the comments?
The download in the first post is the most up to date version.
Is this mod on the Steam Workshop? Because I have to use GeForce Now and mods only work when they’re through the workshop.
No it’s not available on the steam workshop and it’s unlikely that I’ll put it there since I’d rather not post my fetish content outside of sites where it would be appreciated/tolerated. You’ll need to download it through steam I’m afraid.
CK2 isn’t super intensive. I use GeForce Now for most games bc my computer is a potato but I can run CK2 so maybe give it a try on low graphics if you haven’t already.
I just mean if I insert mod folders onto my computers I haven’t been able to get them onto GeForce, can you? Maybe I’m just missing something.
Oh, no, sorry. I was suggesting trying to run CK2 on minimum on your PC. You’d have to download the mod onto the server Nvidia is using to have it on Geforce Now, which seems unlikely
Never played any of these games before but wanted to try the mod. Think I installed it correctly as it showed up in the mod section but man this game to me is super complicated. Couldn’t find out how to play or get to see anything the mod had to offer. Was usurper overwhelmed. I may give it another shot and try again as I feel like it will be good. Is there a easy guide on how to play the game or at least to get to the point where I can see the mod?
Their is a tutorial for the game itself to start you off, if you want an easy ride go Ireland and use the debugs just so you have an easy time playing it, if you are rich enough and gobble up all the smaller counties in Ireland the AI won’t bother you to much. That’s a good way to get the basics down. If you want a video guide YouTube Mah-Dry-Bread has pets plays and a quick guide for CK2
Ok perfect thank you for the advise on that. Also how early are you able to see the mod in action this is the first time playing this type of game and want to see it in action.
Also you mentioned debugs how do i use that?
Pretty early if you have yearly feasts you’ll get fatter if your ruler is gluttonous that is a major plus and if you are debugging you can add it to a ruler. If you eat hearty and don’t exercise you’ll get fatter. And I edited the comment but I’ll put it in the reply if you want to learn to play by video instruction YouTube Mah-Dry-Bread has done LPs and guides for ck2
Ok perfect I take it you are always the male and can’t have a female ruler? Also is any of the gain visual or is it all in text.
~ button on your keyboard (for me it was automatically available.) it lets you add money prestige and piety to your ruler as well as traits claims and modifiers (although this is finicky) you can also manually trigger events (like for this mod.)
Awesome is there a list of commands?
The wiki will have a list and you can have a female ruler it is just very hard to do, if you have the ruler designer dlc then you can make a female ruler, you can also change succession laws to make it whatever you wish, enatic is female inherit only but I don’t recommend it, rather enatic-cognatic which states males can only inherit if no females are eligible, you can also make ruler genders equal at start. It is harder because you want to play your dynasty and matrilineal marriages are harder to get.
The answer is going to change radically on whether or not you have the DLCs. If you don’t you definitely should, they make the game infinitely better.
You should watch Qull18’s 2021 CK2 tutorial on YouTube. It’s designed exactly for people like you. I wouldn’t even bother with the in-game tutorial
Regardless i’ll try my best to explain what is important, without the DLC.
CK2 is a game about family, or rather making your family the most powerful family one character at a time any any means necessary. Murder, war and intrigue are all fair game. There are five crucially important factors to consider: money, other people’s opinion of you, your character’s stats, your soldiers and claims.
Money is important because most things that can be done can be done with money. Improving your stats by writing books, bribing people so that they like you more, hiring mercenaries for more soldiers and buying favors from a potential claimant so they join your court.
Opinion is important because if people don’t like you they will try to kill you. People will declare war on you more often, people will try to assassinate you, the pope will try to excommunicate you. so try to be well liked.
Your character’s stats determines how good they will be at most things. There are actually 7 important stats, the 5 core stats of diplomacy, martial, stewardship, intrigue and learning and in addition there is the dueling modifier and sexual attraction. You can raise your state character’s stats by having good councilors and a good spouse, which will determine how good your character is in practice.
You use soldiers for war and you use war for expansion, so having a god army is paramount. There is an excellent steam guide about what army comps you should use (called “A Complex Guide To Combat Mechanics”) but all you need to know for now is to not use light infantry and to play to your culture’s strengths.
Claims are the means by which you can expand, as a Christian this will be the most common method of expansion. Whenever succession happens everyone that is in the line of succession gets a claim to the tittle and they will want it. If they are unlanded they could potentially be invited to your court and if you give them land or if they are apart of your dynasty you can press their claim and you will get to keep the land in your nation. You can press strong claims at any time and you can press weak claims when the person in question is in a regency, is having one of their titles being disputed in a war or they are the wrong gender and the nation has agnatic/enatic succession.
Hope this helped.
Exactly like he said.
also you should turn off threat in the game rules, it will make your life much easier.
Ok perfect thank you. Also would you be able to see any changes to the mod for your people or is this all text base where there is no visual changes. Also if i were to get DLC which ones would i need to get?
