The lower body anatomy seems really off in that first pic (like everything is pointing the wrong way and the thigh connects to the butt way too early?), amazing project though overall. Looks like it’ll be the best wg game ever made

Will there be sex scenes on the routes?
I think that it’s very unlikely. Only a little devs add sex scenes etc. but instead some of them tend to add kinky thingies to the game. Some sort of statistics here, huh.
I think the style isn’t trying to be realistic, but rather it’s own thing. I personally find it to be alright… But to each it’s own

Hi Tron!
When development is finished, how hard do you think it would be for someone to independently create a mod that gives characters their old faces and keeps the rest of all the new content? All the old files exist, right? Do you think someone like me could go into the game asset files and shop all the sprites to have the faces from the old models? I’m better at image editing than I am at drawing, so I’m wondering if you’d make it possible to edit the game in this way. I think the old Alex face is really cute in this very relatable way, and the new one doesn’t look quite human, so I have less empathy for her. I’d really like to be able to make this mod.

It would depend on how the characters are rendered i.e. using a paperdoll system or static images. This would determine how many images would need editing. Secondly, you’d need an artist to stitch the heads on which I can assure you wont work well for all angles the characters will have that wasn’t represented in the old graphics. I think it would be best to accept the creative direction the team is going with (even I loved the old Grace design) and only expect a total replacement mod if someone is feeling very dedicated.
I have some amateur experience editing images, I’d be the one doing it. It’s a visual novel, so it’s not like there are a huge number of angles.

I am pretty sure that you could do that if by just dropping the images you want into the images folder and overwriting them. You might have to edit the images themselves but there should be minimal drawing involved. If you want to edit the files for your own personal use then that is fine, but it would be a good idea to get the dev’s permission before posting the mod for everyone to use because the dev might not want you to do that for whatever reason and posting mods to projects without devs permission can be seen as disrespectful.

It depends on how far you want to go. Forks uses paper dolls, so conceptually you could replace the new expressions with the old ones. However, there will be several hiccups:
- The old demo targets 1440p resolution (2560x1440), the new is 4k (3840x2160). The old expressions do not have 4k masters, and upscaling them would result in (slight) degradation.
- To keep things simple, expressions have the same total resolution as bodies, but use a ton of transparency. You don’t have to fiddle with where expressions should go, because each one has its location built-in. Old expressions would have all have to be adjusted by hand, and I know I’d spend hours trying to make each set pixel-perfect
- The new demo has at least one new expression that isn’t in the old, so you would either have to have one play double duty, or find a way to recreate it.
- The old expressions would not carry over to CGs. Unless you redid every single bespoke CG expression (some are paper dolls, some are static), you would encounter both expression sets.
- The old expressions were not designed for the updated art style, and so forcing the two together looks a little… Wrong
Feel free to give it a shot once the new demo’s out, but it could be quite a lot of work to edit and replace everything.

loving the new stuff
What are CGs? I’ve never heard of them before this thread.
CG is short for computer graphic and basically they are images in a visual novel where it shows an image outside of the character portraits. It is really hard to explain but if you ever played another visual novel they are those scenes where you see a drawing take the whole screen while a conversation is going on showing what is what is happening at that moment more than just words can do.
Hey, Tron! I was just curious if you had any playable versions of the game besides the demo. A Patreon perhaps? I’d love to support the development of your game and I’d love to get a chance to see the story beyond the demo, as I was immediately hooked. Thanks!

Hi, Guy! I don’t yet have anything public-ready besides the demo, but I do plan to open a Patreon once the new demo’s out. I really appreciate you and everyone else who’s offered to contribute towards development, but I’m going to wait on that until I’ve delivered something new that you all like. If I’m going to take any money, I want to make sure everyone can expect a return.
If we finish all the assets for this new demo, then there’s a good chance we can finish the game, so I’m making that the next milestone

Question: not sure if someone already asked, but if romance will be included in this VN, will there be a “harem” option between the characters? In other words, will they be available for polyamorous relationships, in certain paths?
