Genuine poly relationships, no. There are plans for something (with a hint or two in the new demo), but it’s late-game content that I haven’t finalized yet. We’ll see if it makes it to the final release!
Edit: Oh, and Rea’s done!
FoxFire and I are making one last QA pass on everything so far, and he’s planning to start Alex on Wednesday. Two of Alex’s portraits are already done, so these new 9 will make for 11 total
Good to hear; I’ve never been a fan of having more than one partner on a given path (it feels wrong to me, just in general, but in works of fiction it might be less of a bother). Thanks for the continued updates, and keep it up! You’re doing a great thing!
I’m not too far into the game yet, but I have a few things to say:
The art is amazing! The art style is consistent and detailed and really cute to look at. I love it
There aren’t too many choices so far, but the ride has been fun and engaging nonetheless.
Euclid class tits. You absolute dorks! I mean, Hannah seemed to be doing an okay job of containing them. That would actually make for a good -J, if someone ever wrote one.
I actually have a little of a weight loss kink, since I like skinny women too, it’s also fun to watch them lose weight, still has something to do with weight right?
Huh. I’ve never seen anybody that liked them both that much. I find thinner women attractive, just far less so, by comparison. It’s just that most people have a very specific preference on size, so having a thin-to-fat range/interest in them going down in size, is just so uncommon that I was surprised by it-and no doubt the others had a similar reaction1
Yep just in the complete opposite if the game theme and would require a ton more effort from the author and artist for a route very few people would go down.
I could understand a side character slimming down, but it’s called the dream crusher end for a reason. The main character actually wants to gain weight and has been fighting peer pressure, exceptions, and generally struggling with the decision to commit to trying for a while.
You would have to rewrite her character to make slimming down a viable path in game. (Not to mention increase her starting weight, given that she seems to be average weight if not underweight at the start.)
I mean, I understand it, but it’s still got me in shock. I’ve never encountered someone who was good with both transitional phases. It feels ironic, in ways, but I get that someone might have a preference that differs from the typical. Hey, look where we are after all!
Bless ya, brudda.
I may be wrong, but do weight loss fetish come with exersize fetish?
I had a thought back in the day, about this triple fetish cluster. To simplify, the weight gain story is continious, and so the plot will reach it’s climax sooner or later. With the help of the upper-mentioned fetishes you can somehow reboot the story and give it a new beginning.
Kinda bad explanation, but that’s the only theory I have at this point of time.
I can think of several IF adventures I’ve read in the past that had some fun with characters both gaining and losing weight. IMHO, how things happen within a game’s narrative is important; would it make sense for something to happen within the game? It’s also a question worth asking of the characters in the game; how do they react to weight changes? Do they have agency to react to player actions?
That said, I don’t think Forks needs to necessarily try to be everything for everyone. That’s a great way to kill a project before it’s finished.
I think it makes good sense the way you explained. I hope you don’t mind me offering how I caught the end bit to mean: Maybe because the game is finite, you can use a completed save file and a new game file (maybe side-by-side?) to achieve some satisfaction. Sorry if I misunderstood.
It would be interesting but would probably have to be facilitated with either sci-fi or fantasy. Something makes the character go through a period of gaining weight, they exercise and lose the weight or something causes a sped up weight loss. Rinse and repeat as far as the plot allows and maybe have an ending based on which weight the character was happiest at.
Doing it in a more true to life game would be hard justify the weight fluctuation in character without taking away agency from the player.
I am also sure that the weight loss fetish is separate from the exercise fetish. Although it kinda of depends of the extremes of the exercise. Not to mention the people who like muscle gut, people with both high fat and muscles.
True, but visual novels are very different from IF adventures; mainly in the fact that they have sprites/artwork for the characters and story elements. Adding a weight loss narrative (as in, one of the characters gets even skinnier than they are when they start the game) would require creating new assets/artwork, versus an IF adventure where just writing a few extra paragraphs takes no time at all.
Asset creation can be a serious pain in the ass for devs and it’s killed a lot of projects on this site. And since this is a weight gain game on a weight gain website, i’m guessing that only a very small percentage of players would even get to see these assets. If the devs want to continue with this then that’s awesome; it’s their game, more power to them. I just think people should keep their expectations realistic at least until the core of the game is finished.
