1: I looked into it, but I’m not sure what could have caused the crash, it could be I have overlooked something.
2: As far as I can tell, no lines are skipped. The dialogue box scrolls down 1 line when you choose a dialogue option, but that is so that you don’t see a line you’ve already seen.
3: As far as I can tell, the friendship level increases as you make dialogue choices, and it will update in real time without needing to close and reopen a conversation.
4: It could be that if your dialogue box was scrolled up to a line, and it showed you the name of the character who spoke that line. Other than that, I’m not sure what it could be.
5: The ores don’t have a clicking event, so they will never tell the mouse that a click has already been performed this step, and so never be in the way of clicking on something behind them. All the items should be there to collect and clickable.
6: This is true, I will look into it, and see if I can come up with a good fix.
I am not sure what caused the 150 items in the drill (the maximum items a drill can hold is 24), but if the chest stayed at 0 for a while, that could be because a funnel is taking the chocolate out again and into the drill? I haven’t encountered this before and I’m not able to replicate it.
Is there anyway to regulate how many ingredients go into a furnace or something at any given time? Im having a hard time moderating the coal and ratio of other ingredients
i would love an electric furnace to get around this. however, right now you can use logic gates on the furnace to only let in 1 item at each funnel whenever fuel hits zero. obviously this isnt great for recipies that take more than 3 items, as space becomes a problem.
Okay so I like this game, got to around mid game so far and here are some things I think would help QoL.
Some way to fuel furnaces that are doing complex tasks. (Im sure you can use logic gates but that is one more gate I have to make and manage.) Electric furnaces would also fix this.
Starting conveyor belts at a medium size, I can work with the sizes in game but I constantly use the biggest size or the second would save clicks a bit and make it easier to see what I am doing. The smallest size is hard to see.
Cow girls keep getting stuck on belts that feed into my drills or chests, would be nice to have a way to get them to get off without having to get to level 4 heart. Usually not a big problem but it sucks when they decide to get in the way of a project and I have to wait for them to move or I have to tell all of them to stand still at the start of the game.
Would be nice to have splitters shunt the items down one side if the other is stalled.
I would love to see more items (always what I want in these kind of sand box games).
I would also like to eventually make buildings to help the realm turn into the resort dimension thing that is mentioned.
I am looking forward to where this game goes. I really like it.
Here’s a quick little guide on how I’ve setup the fuel automation on my furnaces
Example with pictures
Start with a simple furnace setup
Take an Inspector Panel and ctr+LeftClick the furnace
The Inspector Panel now shows the fuel lvl of the furnace
Take a logic gate and ctr.Leftclick the Inspector Panel
Now the gate is closed when the Furnace is out of fuel
Since we want the exact opposite to happen, you ctrl.rightclick the Logic Gate to invert it’s logic
Now the gate opens up when there is no fuel in the furnce
And closes when the furnace is fueled
Hope this helps
If you want i can show some automations i made
The trickiest for me was figuring out how to automate recipes that require a chocolate as ingredients in a furnace but i managed to do so in the end aswell
I have put out an update that has fixed a few more things that people have had issues with, mainly:
Cowgirls no longer get moved by belts, so they won’t get stuck as much.
You can now scroll on the mousewheel to change structure modes before placing (this includes conveyor belt length).
The function for placing structures next to other structures will no longer prioritize ore veins over mining rigs, so it will be easier to connect stuff to mining rigs.
There is an update log with more details on itch.
Splitters can be set to put items where there is space if one side is full. You can change the mode of the splitter before placing by control right clicking or scrolling up on the mouse wheel.
Thanks. Also I laughed a bit when I saw the new update, nice to see I could have waited a bit and half my issues would have disappeared. Keep up the great work.
That’s the spirit!
You should avoid conveyors in most cases if you want to reduce lag, because if you use conveyors, that requires a lot of items to exist as objects in the world. You can use long distance funnels and hovering hands for transportation of items, and chests as buffers instead.
This was also what i figured was the intended solution for fueling furnaces. I’m also curious how others here automated things that output more than one item (like fries) since it pulses logic gates twice. I did it by having hovering hands extract the items from the furnace and placing em down on a conveyor, which stacked them instead of them being separate. Curious how others did it.
Enjoyed the game!
Guess I’ll pile on and say that given enough time, we’d see more recipes, more stages and more scenarios to explore.
Great thing so far, cheers.
Small bug/feature I just noticed. If you break an iron chest with material in it you can shift left click the material twice and you can pick up the whole stack. Good for transferring over to a new chest or helping break the game in cheat mode.
