It would be nice if the site could support .webm format. A webm video uses a lot less bandwidth than a gif of similar quality.

just going with webp instead of gifs would be a step up. I have 2 files that are the same (except the playback speed), the gif is 360kb and the webp is 81kb. it would also still autoplay and loop unlike a webm

Duplicate of It would be nice if we could upload .webp images, it's the mainstream image format with the best compression so it's becoming popular online.
