The Bigger & Better mod is a standalone Minecraft mod I’ve been developing over the past month. It’s designed to work independently without requiring additional mods like Customizable Player Models or similar dependencies.
Core Features
The mod introduces a new “Weight Level” that starts at zero. Every time you eat food, its saturation value is added to your Weight Level. You can reduce your Weight Level by running around, though this process is very slow.
Planned Additions
The mod will introduce:
New Food Items: Certain foods can be combined to create new ones, like bread and meat can create burgers, these new foods combine the saturation values of the foods used to create them.
Weight Gain and Weight Loss Potions: Special potions to help you manage your Weight Level.
Themed Mobs: Weight-related mobs that can force feed you, a new type of slime, a cake shooting skeleton, and a few others.
Potential Mechanics: Features like inflation mechanics are under consideration for future updates (no guarantees yet!).
Skin Compatibility
This mod replaces the default player model but retains compatibility with your existing Minecraft skins, so no need for creating a new complex texture specifically for this model.
Looks super promising so far! Also, by any chance does the model get an increase in height, even the slightest? Or could there perhaps be an option for that?
There’s going to be a customisation menu, where you can enable/disable sounds and swap between different models. I plan on having the model I’ve already made, a more rounded one, and a couple more with height adjustments.
love this
i do kinda think the face fat part should maybe have the cheeks as separate parts instead of like just basically having the whole jaw area get bigger if that makes sense
Firstly, gotta say thank you for makin’ this! Secondly, I wanted to ask if we’ll be able to tip the arrows with the potions of weight gain and loss? For multiplayer servers, you know?
you could probably tie each body part to a variable then let players limit the variable in the settings menu, I don’t know how viable it is, and I have not messed with making a mod since 1.7.10, and maybe it isnt due to how the model works. but it is an idea.
Does this effect armor?
