Olive And The Ruby Bra

is it possible to get rid of the delay effect on the ellipses? it’s just obnoxious, especially when you’re going through dialogue for the second or third time

It’s all manual because i went WAY too far trying to pace each dialogue (to the point where I’m typing ‘......’ when texting to friends), so the only way to really skip over them is just holding down the dialogue button to speed it up. I’ll definitely go back and ease up the pauses where i can though, i kinda figured others would think that theyre sorta much

I’m here for my (hopefully) last set of questions lol

For the pixie quest, where can I find Fixie? I would’ve assumed that she would be in Western Catharsia, but I couldn’t find her. I also checked the ruined Sugar town and didn’t find her there either.

Also in the end of update credit scenes, there’s mentions of a dragon and searches for cracks. I’m assuming that the “heavy breathing” in the hole in the sugar town is the dragon, but I’m not sure how to access it. As for the cracks, I have no idea what those are about but I found something with similar text in Western Catharsia, though Olive doesn’t do much about it

As I’m nearing the end of my (2nd) playthrough of this game, I have to say that it’s been one of my favorite games that’s been released on this site. The story is actually interesting and I find myself legitimately attached to the characters! If I had one complaint, it would be that I found the bad endings to be a little underwhelming, but that’s completely subjective. I’m not sure when this game will receive another update, but I will be patiently waiting for it nonetheless lol.

EDIT: Forgot to mention, but is there anything else to do in the Top right of the main island? It’s the place where you find the 12 ft pole, but there doesn’t seem to be much else there. The house is completely deserted.

It’s a weird hardcoded feature of RPGMaker MV/MZ. I don’t know why, don’t know if there is a solution to it.

If you talk to the potion seller, that’ll answer everything. Or it should, at least.

Nothing else in that house, other than the loot you can get.

I’m really happy to hear that you enjoyed it!!! the bad ends aren’t exactly my strong suit, the earlier ones are especially rough. If I had more energy I’d make each bad end canon and not an end, just something you have to struggle through to get back on track. But, I am very lazie. (although my favorite bad ends have to be the factory and the coastal cavern, the latter is short but I really love the lore for that place and I’m also a sucker for bondage/force feeding)

Got a bug with my latest save, I can’t right click to open up the menu and unfortunately for the last working save was four hours ago.

After reading comments of author, i’m kinda scared of avoiding side content. How do i unlock quests for roommates (i already gave everyone a gift) and where is “old man”? Who even is horse girl? I just reached desert town and i’d like to do all content available

Really weird… When did this start happening in the save? Just suddenly while exploring the mountains?

The best way i can suggest to find things is simply to explore. I dont really want to always tell people exactly where to go, (also since it’s all been said before,) since i kinda wanna suggest to the player to explore those other paths n nooks n crannies and talk to old npc’s n stuff to see what the day brings them as you progress, n just to interact with the world around them. (Real pretentious, coming from a mid rpgmaker game, i know, but i think the necessity to experiment, exploring n curiosity, n intuition are good bones to flex. If you really do just wanna know the answers to each of those questions just keep giving them gifts and eventually theyll want you to do something for em, old guy is to the right of the western region port, horse girl is on the north side of the centre region if you boat up there.)

I believe it started happened after the mermaid, but I’m not certain.

I don’t understand where I need to go?

Much like the door in the mountain, this is where you use your knowledge of the region you’ve been exploring to find the area you should go. The hint is that it’s a temple, so try and find a temple.

Maybe the map guy you found earlier can help.

also Ill say this to everyone but please do try to spoiler things, it’s been a while so no doubt this is gonna be someone’s first time playing it. no one’s gonna get mad but it’s a nice thing to practice, ya?

Ah, then I know exactly what it is! I will solve that and send you back a fixed file in a jiffy :>

The power of the Thank You Vase has compelled me to say thank you for a fun game! It’s been one of my favorites since I got back into the community late last year and I’m really happy you came back!

One of the first things I did when attempting to learn RPGMaker was try to recreate the “Bu…cket” thing.

I really liked the update! I’m excited to see where the story ends up going. The lore drops about the mythology of the world were pretty interesting and have me wanting more.

I’ve had a lot of fun esplorin’ and I’m probably gonna start a new playthrough because I think I’ve accidentally locked myself out of a quest or 2.

I haven’t found any bugs besides the ones that have already been reported.

that’s actually the problem; holding down the button does not seem to speed up the ellipses. i actually quite like “timing” punctuation or interjections in dialogue; i use them liberally when i write dialogue myself. but i would like to read the dialogue with timing punctuation, not wait for the dialogue with timing punctuation

Hey great update! I played this first who knows how long ago and was really excited for this and glad to be playing it again! The decision to give a choice that changes that much of the story is bold to say the least and I cant wait to see how you handle that sorta thing later. The choice to trust Plat leading to that whole scene actually got me really sitting up in my chair good shit with the art! I also like the option to beat up the baker or let the him go to get a tip on his secret treasure, and maybe see him later, even though I already knew where it was cuz I could see it clear as day, it was nice to tip me off that I could go back and grab it now. I was gonna complain slightly about Lance feeling way too under leveled when you first play him but I’m glad you were on top of fixing that. Also while trying to look for a way to actually start this quest for finding fairies (no luck yet) I found this weird thing were in the secret village in the pink crystal cave behind the top right building in front of the 1 space wide crystal wall there’s this weird invisible thing I could interact with don’t remember what Olive says but I don’t think it was supposed to be there. super low on the list of what to deal with though and I’ll be honest I just bring it up so I can vent about struggling to start that fairy quest while still talking bout stuff i found in this new update. Why are they still bugs!?!??!?! I also really appreciate all the side quests you’ve added there’s quite a bit and I like that some get lil dungeons to themselves that are honestly pretty fun I just really like the chase sequence ones specifically lol. Over all smooth sailing through this update no fights felt that mean except for getting caught in that one cave the mermaid sends you to but I feel like the point was to kick the player’s ass if they got too greedy with the sparkles and i think I just got boddied by RNG cuz I kept getting stunned by that yellow jellyfish. Over all great stuff glad you’re back in the swing of things and hope you keep up this momentum! Good luck and take care of yourself were all excited here!

I’m really starting to feel like difficulty spike is too big in this game, i unlocked boat and decided to explore instead of going where game told me to. Olive has 13th lvl, three green jellies attacked me and i had no chance to win with them, due to at least one of them always using stun attack.(wicked bolt)

Maybe that just means you’re someplace you oughta not be quite yet. You did kinda say it yourself, so just make a note of it n return when you’re stronger :>

(also I didn’t do a lot of fight testing in that area so granted the numbers might be pretty darn fudged as is. good thing there isn’t much over there,)

:bucket:

Nice to see that the game is back and your doing well again.
 :+1:

Finally finished the main story! I haven’t played all of the side stories yet. However, so far this continues to be one of my favorite weight gaming rpg maker games. Easily up there with Apostles and many more great games. I love the characters (especially Olive), I’m super interested in the story, the kink scenes and bad ends are always great, and while a lot of the battles are challenging they never feel unfair, at least to me. I really really hope this continues to get updated and hopefully completed. I really want to see more of these characters and see all the twists and turns and end of the story. Amazing work and I really hope to see more content soon
