Olive And The Ruby Bra

Did i block myself from recruiting/interacting with platinum again? When i was told to search for book, i just went to this starbucks parody and asked goblin about book, instead of going to visit her father. Will i still be able to interact with her in future? I really like her as character :frowning:

You’ll meet her again, yeah. Just requires a little story progression is all.

I really think that ā€œstealthā€ sections could use some rework for AI of enemies. When i stand in one place for like 2-3 minutes and enemy is facing same direction for whole time and it blocks me from advancing, it’s kinda annoying.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that, so I managed to fix when one of them would stand in place for several years and never turn ever, but then I discovered that if you’re standing close enough to them, they stop turning. I have a hunch as to why it’s happening but I couldn’t figure out a definite fix before I had to post the update, so that’s still a bug that’s high on the list.

So, first off, I’ve been really enjoying going through this game again. It’s been so long since my initial run-through, so I’ve been going at it with semi-fresh eyes, and it’s been a delight so far.

I’ve also been trying to comb through the game as much as I’m able, so I do have a few questions regarding some things:

  • The tower near where the horse girl is; A: Is it possible to get inside that tower, and B: Hints on where the key could be if it is?
  • I found the jellyfish cave and talk on here regarding a mermaid, but so far, I haven’t found anything regarding where the mermaid might be. (Unless she’s at Gladstone Beach, in which case, I haven’t gotten there quiet yet)
  • As for the Fighter’s College, I’ve gotten each of dormmates up one weight stage and hung out with them once each. Given how semi-limited money is in this game, how feasible would it be to get them up to a second stage?

Okay, I THINK that’s everything. Like I said, I’ve been really enjoying this game, and I want to make sure I comb through it as much I can so I can enjoy everything the game has to offer…also completionist stuff. XD
(Also, god, I wish there were quick travel holes in desert region, it would make going back and forth SO much easier…)

To get inside the mausoleum, youll need something only the dead can give you. Who’s the one (probably) dead person you know?

Mermaid is available after going to therapy, shes in the ocean.

Pretty feasible, you just have to manage your money wisely If you’ve helped the folks at the big tree and visit the potion seller, later on you may find a good way to make money. For a price.

Later on after you’ve technically ā€˜conquered’ the lost wasteland, there’ll be an easier way of travel from place to place there. There isn’t something from Tialga to the Docks yet, and as much as I’d personally like to figure out a way to do that, it really is just a simple walk there. Maybe I should put something else between there that people can interact with to make it feel less empty, but thatll be for the future.

Follow up question to the mausoleum…does choosing whether or not to trust Platinum in the mines determine whether or not I can get what I need? Because only one dead-ish person comes to mind…unless I’m completely off base.
(For reference, I just got finished seeing both versions of that choice)

Nope! I don’t blame you for being stumped. Woodsman.

Oh btw im in the process of making a new discord server. It won’t be specific to olive, there may be other projects of mine that ill have sections of, but it’ll prolly be a bit before it’s all done n nice n clean n good for people. Just saying it now so it’s in people’s heads!

Could you explain more clearly what do you mean by
Big tree? And how is potion seller supposed to help me earn money? It’s not like i avoided her, I feel like i’m missing something.
I recently finished part where you choose to trust or not trust Platinum, i feel like ā€œgrand treeā€ is something i should know about already

I don’t really like explaining things step by step cuz curiosity is king and I’m sure I’ve said it once before but that’s probably been like… 300 messages ago, so here’s a better breakdown of the whole process.

If you’ve been helping the potion seller with her quests (finding the green mushroom by following the path from the mountaintops first, and then finding the tree sap in the deep forest between the west side of catharsia and the shore), after you find that sap for her, you’ll be able to go back to the tree to investigate it further.

Finding the Pixies will not only grant you access to the hovel inside the tree, but talking to the potion seller when you have a pixie or after finding them all will let you ask their queen for some pixie dust, which she can use to create something for you to explore smaller cracks.

Using the smallening agent, you can go to Gladstone road and investigate the crack there, on the south wall. In there you’ll find your renewable source of money.

Oi mates, I have questions

How to get bad ending when Olivia turn into this

and

How can I find the Genie?

You say curiosity is a king, but even though i talked with potion seller in city, i had no idea that she was related to any quests, i also had no idea that finding pixies would give me any kind of reward. This game really needs some guide, maybe someone will write it eventually. Thank you
Honestly, when was the time that i should get first quest from potion seller?
Well, now that i think about it, maybe to start quests from potion seller i need to find at least one pixie?

Now this update was well worth the wait. Especially as it’s testing me on where to go and where to look. Which in some parts contradicts spots certain items were in from the previous version. For me, I think it’s the puzzles in the latest section of the game that are throwing my mind in a circle. (That and the side quests for the lamp and the mushroom).

Which tells me for one, I need to replay the game again and probably take my time and complete the side quests I can along with the main story to see what pathways are open.

Overall, great game.

Ending:

Restaurant in Tialga (the desert town with the bandit lair and stuff). To be completely honest, I don’t know when this opens, but you can do it at the end like I did or potentially earlier with Lance/Platinum in your team.

dang
i can’t get this bad end
Can you drop me your extra save file?
I’ll give you candy, for this

Can’t upload saves here, I think (that, or I don’t have enough trust/permission).

Have you already gotten to the end of the update, where they hint at going to the snowy island? If you have, then the ending ought to be accessible.

Also, come to think of it, your earlier choices with the goblin assistant and the force-feeding chef might be why the Tialga restaurant part isn’t accessible.
