Olive And The Ruby Bra

I just wanna put my two cents in and say that the combat was not that difficult with the current patch. Especially with Olive starting at level 3 and no large groups of enemies to encounter in the beginning. And it lasted like that all the way through the Mystic Forest and the side-quest plant boss.

Though, to be fair, I did a light bit of grinding before it. Just enough to get me to level 7. And sure, I won by the skin of my teeth, but that’s mostly because I am a hoarder and simply refused to use the wine in the fight and sticked to using Adrenalines and Lesser potions. For what it’s worth, I do think that the difficulty is just right. Not frustrating, but also not something that lets you breeze through by using the same attacks over and over.

But anyhow, considering that others might not have an easy time at the last stretch of the game, I think it’s a problem that’s either solved by implementing different consumable items or by getting a new party member. Because, unless she gets some super-broken skills at a later level, she’ll be needing a buddy or two to help her out on her quest to get thin!

With all that said, my preference for weight gain in games is when it’s a reward that you gotta earn, instead of a punishment dealt to you because of you needing to go through a stupid decision, or needing to lose to an enemy on purpose. And for now, I will assume that Olive does get thin again in the middle of the story, with the added bonus of being able to go through those holes in the ground.

Anyhow! My disgustingly humble suggestion is… maybe implementing a “form” system through the story that would allow Olive to control how fat she can be at any time? Each form of hers could affect her stats (eg. Thin Form = +Agility, -Defense, Fat Form = +Defense, -Agility, etc.), or would be necessary to solve a puzzle in the area. Even better, we would need to put the effort in to unlock new and even fatter forms!

Choosing when to be fat and to what degree just seems like a nice alternative to simply forcing Olive to adapt to her fetishy circumstances, you know? But I’ll understand if you have different plans altogether. The last thing I wanna do is derail your ideas for the game by giving too many off-the-wall suggestions.

Major spoilers for future plans: (darn you for being a good guesser!)

Lance, after Olive’s mark removal, gets sort of antsy about this whole curse thing, and sends Olive to Catharsia (Capital of the region they’re at) to find someone who might be better with that sort of stuff. Long story short, this is around the time where you’d gain a party member. I’m only sort of afraid how hard it’s gonna break the game. Also, remember when I said ‘sometimes you lose chances to do things’? After getting said new party member, you won’t be able to do the bakery quest. Not because I’m a lazy bitch that despises work, but sort of because with supervision Olive would’ve avoided that whole situation. She still could have saved the goblin, but not anything else really after that.

About the size changing idea, I really like the sounds of that, especially because one of the future party members has the power of Lipomancy (fat magic). I would probably make it so that size changing would pretty much only be between Olive’s base size and Olive’s curse size, or Id have it be more late game. to avoid main questline breakage. And probably disable the power during some side missions. But I do very much like that idea! I’ll try and figure a way to implement it probably. No promises of course, I don’t know how much I can be able to do with this stuff still.

also it’s really freaking good to hear that someone is fine with the fight system finally, and level 7 is the recommended minimum level for the Nectar Flower because of stunning hit. I’ve also kept the wine, I dunno why. Whenever I play RPGs I feel greedy for hoarding items but I feel brave (stupid) enough that I never use them so I always just end up selling them.

Back, and I wasn’t really complaining, more I use the save editing so much on these games it’s so easy to pop in change the stats and be able to breeze through the games. It’s just a time saving thing since some of the RPG maker games I see you have to go through hours of play to see any change, that and I enjoy story rather than combat. The obligatory “Throw thousands of enemies at the PC.” Thing is a little annoying as I’ve seen some games that their spawn rate for enemies is quite literally 2 tiles. For those I use the escape option. That and it makes boss fights go by quickly. I haven’t seen what it’s like to be low level, but from what I played before the save editing is that it is easy to make it to level 7-10 if the enemies give enough xp, and from what I did kill they give plenty. So from what I can see the balance seems fairly good. (The link was for those that want to get to the growth stuff quicker rather than the boss fights, which I know are hard to balance properly.)

I’m not sure if I’m just unperceptive, but what does the stuffed debuff actually so? Does it risk Olive getting fatter? Is it just an agility debuff? I’m not quite sure

Just made an account here to say that I love the game, and I think it has the potential to be one of the best on the site with time.

I like the combat being a bit more difficult, I actually had a bit of fun grinding and trying to save resources. I hope it keeps that style since a lot of the other games the combat is just a time waster. I do have to say that the mystic nectar flower boss was a bit much, only because if you got bad RNG they could spam the infatuation attack constantly and make it impossible to win. Maybe have it be on a cooldown of some kind?

Also I hope that Olive keeps the weight and even learns to like it. A lot of other games shy away from this but I’d love to see her gaining weight based attacks as she gains more/becomes more comfortable with her weight.

Anyways, really enjoying the game, keep up the great work!

That’s entirely understandable and you using that thing is your way of playing the game, it doesn’t hurt nobody so I ain’t bothered by it, truly. It just shows that I’ve still got a long way to go yet!

For now it’s just an ability debuff. I’m planning on them being a wee bit more of that, but once I figure out what I can really do with em, yknow? But even as an ability debuff it’s got its purposes, adrenaline uses agility to health you.

Yeah, the infactuation attack is shit. The flower can only use it twice in the next patch however, so I don’t think there could be that large of an rng chain only from that. Low chance of using the move, too. (also gosh that’s such a sweet thing to say, I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I do!)

I think you should add multiple stuffing states, not just “stuffed”, it would add more depth to the game and that way there would be a real risk if you don’t stop enemies from feeding her.
Just an idea. If the enemies keep feeding Olive passed “stuffed” she would eventually reach “overstuffed” which has a greater agility penalty (but with greater healing to offset this), if they fed her beyond that Olive could eventually reach “gorged” and take a huge agility hit (but again, even greater heals), maybe even a state of immobility where she can’t attack and only do belly rubs/have another party member relieve her stomach ache until it relieves her gorged state.
Having greater heals as she gets more and more glutted her means at times the player might just allow her to be overfed if the situation calls for it.

New patch! Just a few bug fixes, a little de-buffing of the Nectar Flower, and a little preview-test of the Potion Seller!

After Olive gets large, the Potion Seller comes back to her carriage to sell you. potions.

So far I’ve set them to be pretty expensive, cuz one of the potions, the dragon’s breath, I feel it might be slightly overpowered if it wasn’t, y’know? It’s used as a last resort, probably with other future damaging items.

Currently I’m working on Bed-In-A-Flask, and I tried to make another one that reduced enemy spawn rates but fuck if I don’t know how to do that. The Bed-In-A-Flask I aim to be sort of animated, so thats why its gonna take a wee bit to implement.

Until then, tell me what you think of her, and maybe some ways I can improve other things!

(Oh, also, I have fuckin no clue whatsoever how to count how much cash the player has spent on her. but I’ll figure it out one day.)

Oh there’s three iterations of the stuffed debuff already! I havent figured out how to make them overlap eachother without stacking though, and I feel being the medium-stuffed just by being small-stuffed a lot might be a litte bad since most of the first few enemies do that a LOT. Overengorged is the one to where it’s practically just sleep, lol.

Not a bad thing for this sort of game imho.
I’m just saying it would take the feeding mechanic from “mildly annoying but has no real negative effect on gameplay” to “stop feeding me or I will lose” sort of thing. You could make a cool-down on the stuffing ability of enemies to make sure it isn’t constantly abused by them.

You could just have it be her stun ability she learns at level 8. Just change the description for it to say she smashes her opponent with her fat butt. I mean, given the size of it I think it’s pretty credible that she could stun someone with it.
I have to agree with the general sediment though, more abilities based on her weight would be good.

Also one last thing I need to mention, the music for the nude beach is really unfitting. It sounds like creepy horror music, I don’t think a nude beach full of fat girls should sound so depressing.

heheh. There’s a reason for that, my friend. Nude beach is a pretty weird entity in a world like this, rapid weight gain wan’t this common for everyone a day ago for average citizens, but now there’s chubby lasses runnin’ around everywhere, or barely being able to move at all. Nude beach, on the other hand, was a weird thing for all its days. No one would expect just some beach, next to a town with children to have a rule specifically for not wearing clothes. One that’s forcibly met, as well, by Tony (thug by the entrance).

"The Calm’ (the music I used for it) Sorta fits that mood perfectly, sort of sounding both, well, ‘calming to a point where it’s sort of uncomfortable’.

Sue me if I don’t use this info in the future, but Nude Beach is one of Dethesal’s biggest mysteries, for as lewd as it is…

I was gonna try to make it so that after being applied the stuffed debuff while also having it, theres a percentile chance that both states evolve into engorged, but I have no bloody clue how to do it. For now I’m gonna leave it and check the internet for various solutions if there are any, since I’m wracking my brain trying to figure out already.

Also, just came across the thought, what if certain foods gave Olive certain abilities for a single battle? Maybe that might be a potion idea. I just wouldn’t want the fat skills to be learned through leveling up, and instead from playing through the story. Since her fattacks (hehe) aren’t really connected with her class a all, it doesnt make too much sense to me. Maybe along with the permanent upgrade idea that Swimming Eagle had, there could be side quests that give Olive new moves…

Thank you for the wonderful chicken save npc
